12/12/2025: This hotel gave us a very good mini break for the December Calais markets. We are both immobile (wife in a wheelchair) and the accessible room was good. i am always keen to leave feedback on disability issues.Breakfast was great - unlike some hotels they kept a hawk-like eye on what needed topping up! Staff were always friendly and helpful when we were coping with our mobility. Not a UK 4 star, but I think Fr. standards are more relaxed.

02/12/2025: The staff were very friendly, we had a pleasant stay, with a beautiful view of the sea.

20/02/2026: The service was very slow; the waiter could have been more courteous to customers and taken responsibility for his mistakes instead of getting offended. Despite these issues, the food was good.

15/02/2026: The food was good and fresh, but the service needs improvement, especially for €50 per person. We came for dinner on Valentine's Day. The waiter was clearly overwhelmed. There was a very long wait between courses. We waited an hour and a half for dessert, so I asked the waiter if we'd been forgotten, but he said no, it was supposedly the busy period, and he became quite defensive, even though customers who arrived an hour later had already finished their meals…

17/03/2026: Honestly, I went there and it was great, I really enjoyed it. Anyway, in Calais, it's Goudal or the beach, but there's a 2.5-hour wait for an American sandwich. Honestly, at Steffy's, I had a fantastic time. Give it a try and see for yourself!

15/02/2026: Fantastic chip shop! Always friendly and welcoming 😊 The service is great, the portions are generous, and everything is delicious. I always get a large order of fries for myself and a cheeseburger for my girlfriend, and we love it every time! The atmosphere is really pleasant; you feel right at home. I highly recommend it!

06/04/2026: Pros: - The grilled meats are very good and the cooking is well-executed. - Reasonable prices. Cons: - Very slow service, an hour and a half to be served… by the end, we were full. - The couscous recipe needs to be revised; the broth was bland. I was really surprised because I trusted online reviews, but personally, it wasn't great.

02/04/2026: For a dinner with colleagues, the young waiter was very friendly and professional. However, we ordered a rare rump steak, but what we received was a sirloin steak. Fortunately, the meat was cooked perfectly and tender, but for me, as a cook, it wasn't a sirloin steak. I pointed this out, and the response was that the meat had been cut in half, which was impossible. For dessert, my colleague had ordered a peanut sundae with an alcoholic twist, but he received three scoops of praline. The price was corrected when the bill arrived. For a somewhat upscale brasserie, this is a lack of professionalism.

24/03/2026: Café de la Tour remains an iconic Calais establishment, boasting a diverse menu with plenty of options to suit all tastes. The food is decent, if not exceptional—you eat well, but without any real "wow" factor. Prices are a bit high considering the quality. On the other hand, the service is genuinely friendly, warm, and efficient, contributing to a pleasant experience. It's a must-visit for its prestige and ambiance, even if the food could be a little more distinctive.

17/01/2026: Purchase. Basket today, January 17, 2026. I'm disappointed. The baguette was hard, and the chocolate-covered raisin bread wasn't good. I won't go to this bakery again, even if the basket is still good and edible.

30/11/2025: A very nice bakery, the owner is really very friendly, plus the prices are very attractive and the bread rolls and pastries taste great.

17/02/2026: In the heart of the Channel, a restaurant with excellent cuisine and wine selection. Sometimes the dishes are a little too minimalist, but delicious and sure to make you dream. A very good Valentine's Day menu in a calm atmosphere.

08/03/2026: Honestly, one of the best restaurants I've ever tried! The food is incredibly delicious and prepared with care, the service is quick, the staff is very kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere is lovely. A perfect experience 👌

11/02/2026: My partner and I came to enjoy a delicious couscous in Marrakech. The restaurant was very immersive, the dishes were succulent with perfectly portioned dishes. A truly wonderful culinary journey to Morocco, thank you ❤️

11/04/2026: Very disappointed. I ordered cod loin, and it was already cold and full of water. The butcher's cut had been removed, which was a shame! My husband ordered veal shoulder, and the meat was also cold and really not good at all! For the price, it's really expensive for what you get.

29/01/2026: Fantastic pizzeria! The pizzas are absolutely delicious and great value for money. Kudos to the team who work so hard to keep us happy!

07/12/2025: I don't understand how Australian Pizza only has 4.2/5 stars. It's honestly the best pizzeria in Calais, and having moved to Rouen and Maubeuge for work, I don't know any pizza like theirs. They're just perfect. The owner is very attentive. I sincerely recommend it. To give you an idea, they're so good that they're in high demand. You have to be patient to order from them, but it's really worth it. Don't hesitate, go for it!

17/01/2026: DISGUSTING 🤢 We had to wait outside because it was too crowded inside. We had to pay for our order outside, and when we asked to wash our hands, that's when we saw the catastrophic state of the place inside. There was absolutely no hygiene. The employees were preparing orders with their smartphones in their hands or placed on the salad trays. The bread, the meat, the sauce—everything was awful. We were very lucky not to have gotten sick. ⚠️ The good reviews for this establishment are misleading.

29/10/2025: We were told they would not cook any food when we stepped into the restaurant and we can only order those food in the tray that looked as if it has stayed there for ages…There is no customer inside the restaurant. Feel like a complete scam and a waste of time to go there….

09/03/2026: Servers need to learn that when a customer comes in, they want to be served, and contrary to what they think, it's not a pleasure to watch them clean for 10 minutes. And by the way, older food goes on top of new food, not the other way around. Unbelievable: scrubbing the rack... Oh, he's finished... Oh, no, he's doing the second one, the third... Oh, he's finished... Oh, no, the glass... Oh, he's finished... Oh, no, he's doing the oven below... Well, that'll easily take 5 minutes. He turns around and there are 3 open rolls... Not an important order since he stopped making it to clean the oven. Oh, but it was super important... Of course, he probably took less than 5 minutes for 3 sandwiches... I won't argue with you because I was fed up and I left. I must be the only one who thinks we're bothering them when we come in... Oh, no, there are plenty of people with the same opinion. It's clear your team points are being used to great effect. Don't worry, I won't bother you anymore since I won't be back. There isn't just a chip shop, a pizzeria, and two burger places within that distance.

10/04/2026: The welcome was good, but the service was neglected. We arrived at 12:20, our food arrived at 13:25, and we left at 13:40 after speaking with the waiters. Our food was lukewarm (had it been left on the service counter in the kitchen??). The carbonnade was lukewarm and, more importantly, three-quarters inedible… a fact acknowledged by the waiter. The burger was lukewarm, and the egg was set as if it had been sitting for a while… lukewarm. We didn't ask for it to be reheated, otherwise we might have eaten at teatime. In short, we skipped dessert and coffee, and the bill came to €44! On the bright side, the beer and peanuts were good. My birthday meal with my friend won't be a great memory. After telling them it would be the last time, the waiter offered me another chance… no thanks!

16/11/2025: I'm giving 5 stars because of the warm welcome from the owner and the receptionist, who were both incredibly kind. I visited with my three children, including my daughter who has a disability. It was a pleasant experience, even though it's a place with an 80s feel, as other reviews have mentioned. At least the staff are friendly, and I much prefer that to a luxury establishment with unpleasant staff, especially when you have a child with a disability. I recommend it. Saliha
