28/10/2026: The place is absolutely beautiful, all vintage. We had a slice of cake, which was good, but the coffee was truly awful. I'm not a fussy person, by the way, but from a place that says "Life's too short to drink bad coffee" and "Specialty Coffee" on the outside, I would have expected at least drinkable coffee. The coffee was cold and sour as hell; I told myself it takes effort to make coffee of this caliber. We got up, leaving it in the cup. The service was annoyed, with long faces and snorts.

11/10/2026: The place is very nice. Since there were 12 of us, they seated us on the second floor. The person who served us was very friendly but took a long time to return; it seemed they were also serving tables on both the ground and upper floors. The dishes were beautifully presented. We ordered the duck, the lamb, the sea bass, and some appetizers, all of which were delicious. However, the shrimp pasta lacked salt and seasoning, and it was also dry. Everyone who ordered it said the same thing. We didn't order dessert.

10/10/2026: A truly wonderful gastronomic experience, but the prices could be a bit more reasonable. We discovered this restaurant on a weekday evening, during a dinner with colleagues. The setting is particularly pleasant, with tasteful decor and a warm atmosphere. The dining room was admittedly very quiet that evening, which prevented us from fully appreciating the lively atmosphere it must have on weekends. The table layout is well thought out, with spaces that allow for groups without feeling crowded. As for the food, it's undeniably a great success. The dishes are elaborate, refined, and sometimes presented with real originality. I'm thinking in particular of the seven-hour leg of lamb, whose presentation was especially impressive. The portions are also very generous. Even though I'm quite a hearty eater, I was already more than satisfied before dessert even arrived! Not much of a sweet tooth, but a big fan of floating islands, I nevertheless gave in to temptation. The dessert was very good, with remarkably light and airy meringue. My only slight reservation was the slightly excessive amount of pink pralines, which added a touch of sweetness I found overpowering. This is clearly a rather personal opinion, as my colleagues who chose the same dessert didn't share this reservation! The question of price remains, and this is ultimately the establishment's main weakness. Most of us opted for the €54 menu, while the first menu was offered at €43. We are therefore in a very high price range. While the quality of the food is undeniable, I find the pricing a bit ambitious considering the overall experience. In Lyon, in this price range, other establishments offer, in my opinion, more memorable experiences, both in terms of the food and the ambiance. Ultimately, a very good restaurant, with generous, refined, and expertly prepared cuisine in a pleasant setting. An address that can be recommended for the quality of its dishes, even if a slightly more reasonable pricing policy would make the experience considerably more compelling.

14/10/2026: The service is so perfect!! Andouillette was very good, not greasy and not too salty at all! I especially live the vegetable flan! So good! I’ll be back to try other dishes!!

May the darlings who had to manage a group of about ten people while being notified at the last minute hear the resounding praise and the utmost apologies... No less, If my arrival should happen later: A bard will be scribbled and recited in this very bar (after a glass of Gewürztraminer, of course). I would also ask, as a last resort and with the utmost gentleness; I would appreciate it if the staff would accept my tips. 30/09/2026: The truffade is very good as usual, and the waiters are always very kind and smiling.

04/10/2026: The welcome was warm, but the food was rather disappointing. The side dish wasn't great. The praline tart crust was hard... The service was a bit unusual, as waiters often came to the table to check that everything was alright, but it was perhaps a bit much at times. Overall, though, the value for money was acceptable.

03/10/2026: Excellent! The Lyonnaise specialties were very well prepared, the staff was very friendly, and there was hardly any wait. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We'll be back! (Reservations are recommended as the restaurant is small.)

14/10/2026: We were looking for a place to eat amidst all these restaurants. We stumbled upon Bouillon Maurice. We weren't disappointed. Warm interior, very fast service, and excellent food! And really inexpensive! It was absolutely delicious: duck and dauphinoise potatoes with a praline crème brûlée. It was perfect. €41 for two. Thank you for the warm welcome.

02/09/2026: What a joy to stumble upon this restaurant while strolling down Rue Mercière! La Mère Cottivet was our favorite bouchon when we lived in Lyon several years ago. It used to be in the Cordeliers district, and when we wanted to go there one day while passing through Lyon, it was gone, and we thought it had closed for good. Anyway… I'm getting carried away with my memories, let's get back to the point: The best Lyonnais bouchon there is, that hasn't changed! Deliciously authentic cuisine, a warm atmosphere, and on top of that, exceptional service! Thank you to Hadrien (with an "H") for this delightful experience, perfect in every way, and for his incredible sense of service. He perfectly embodies the spirit of the place ☺️
