21/02/2026: A lovely little restaurant with a warm welcome! We went for the hamburgers: the REM's and the Bleu. We ate very well! We'll gladly return!

17/02/2026: We had dinner for Valentine's Day. We were seated upstairs because the downstairs room was full. The room wasn't very welcoming and felt more like a meeting room. We were disappointed because when we ordered our aperitifs, we had already mentioned wanting wine. We had to wait until our starters to ask again to order the wine because they had forgotten. The waitress couldn't open the bottle and went off to the bar without a word, presumably to open it. She apologized when she came back and put the cork on the bottle, which wasn't ours because it was red wine and we had ordered white. The dishes were very good but often lacked warmth. According to the waiters, we were given a detailed description of each dish, otherwise they didn't say anything. What bothered us was that each waiter did everything; it would have been much smoother if they had assigned tables. We were served water twice even though someone had already brought it. We were also very disappointed because our hot drinks were supposed to include petits fours when we booked, but we didn't receive any at all. On the other hand, we really enjoyed the musical interlude, which was great, with two people singing. It was a welcome change, as there is absolutely no background music in the restaurant. One last point that I think is essential: as this is a training restaurant, it's a shame that we can't give our feedback after the meal with a questionnaire or something similar, so that the students can improve. The meal was very generous and delicious.

14/02/2026: We came as a couple for Valentine's Day. And we'll never be back. Let me explain: I booked a table at the Vatel Lyon restaurant, hoping to share the Grand Vatel menu, which was presented and recommended to me by the reception staff. Imagine our disappointment when we arrived upstairs, in a sort of conference room converted into a campsite restaurant, complete with a glaring video projector and school chairs. Once seated, we were delighted to discover that it was a set menu, with no possibility of changes, a fact we hadn't been informed of by email. Halfway through the evening, you'll have the pleasure of listening to/enduring a participatory concert worthy of the worst campsites, all while enjoying a bland and tasteless meal that you could easily recreate at home. All this for the modest sum of €180 for two (knowing that this is not a professional service, but rather unqualified apprentices whom we don't want, as they have to learn somehow). In short, a very bad experience! For less money, and much better, I recommend the Bulle restaurant.

30/01/2026: A warm welcome, excellent starter and main course, and reasonable prices even for drinks. We had a lovely lunch. I highly recommend this bar/restaurant.

23/01/2026: This restaurant is very pleasant and authentic. The service is quick and professional. The staff is really friendly. The prices are quite reasonable for Lyon. The homemade food is very good. I thoroughly enjoyed this place and will definitely return.

04/03/2026: A romantic dinner at this little bistro was delightful. Everything was delicious and piping hot. The service was warm and friendly. The only slight drawback was the limited space, but honestly, it's something you just need to be aware of and easily overlook because it's so good. 02/03/2026: We were truly charmed by the atmosphere at LA CABANE. The service was outstanding, accompanied by unparalleled cleanliness. We chose the "Fish and Chips" without anticipating that our taste buds would be so delighted by the "Moules Frites" (Mussels and Fries). This shared experience was made possible thanks to our friendship. For dessert, both the chocolate mousse and the crumble were a hit. We were extremely satisfied and plan to return to enjoy this specialty again, while also indulging in the fries and the selection of sauces.

14/02/2026: After a few years of abstinence, I booked a table for two online for February 14th in the Jura region with my sweetheart. The food was still excellent: calf's foot salad, snail casserole (though it could have used a bit more cream!), andouillette sausage, and pike quenelle. Delicious. BUT... surprise! We were seated side-by-side, facing the second dining room and the constant stream of waiters with questionable humor. On this Valentine's Day, we would have much preferred to dine face-to-face, gazing into each other's eyes and hearts together. They tried to convince us that the table was very popular! I doubt it! What would have been proper service would have been to inform us of this unusual arrangement! Not a chance! A beautiful and long love affair between the Jura and me comes to an end today... what a shame 😒

I was already familiar with this restaurant, which has a very good reputation for being a classic Lyonnais bouchon... and now I can say that its reputation is well-deserved. I highly recommend it.

31/12/2025: A very good meal, a warm and elegant atmosphere. However, charging us €2 for a takeaway dessert that we couldn't eat in is simply unacceptable... what a lack of business sense!
