24/03/2026: The pub was nothing special, in my experience. It's a shame they didn't have any non-alcoholic beer that day. The charcuterie board was very generous, but the bread wasn't great.

17/03/2026: I only stopped in for a quick visit for one small beer. The place was very busy on a Saturday night. However, the service was fast and attentive. Decent selection of French and especially local beers. A good stop for craft beer in Lyon.

18/04/2026: I tried Les Nouilles Vivantes with some friends, and unfortunately, none of us were particularly impressed by the experience. We sampled noodle dishes—the house specialty—as well as other items on the menu. The prices are quite reasonable, which is a plus, but the flavors left us wanting more. The dishes didn't strike us as particularly memorable, and the overall experience lacked a certain depth. Perhaps we didn't make the best choices, but our overall impression was rather mixed. It's worth noting, however, that the noodles are made fresh and to order, which is a definite plus. As for the service, it's very quick, but rather minimalist. For example, we had to get up to get water, which might be surprising if you expect a bit more attention in the dining room. The setting is quite simple and unpretentious, which might be fine for a quick meal, but doesn't particularly contribute to creating a warm atmosphere. Ultimately, despite the restaurant's reputation and long history, I wasn't entirely convinced. Especially since other reviews I've heard echo this sentiment. Of course, this is just my personal experience, but it's not a place I'd particularly like to return to.

30/03/2026: The noodles are made fresh on-site; you can watch them being prepared in the open kitchen. The food is great, especially the stir-fried noodles and the jiaozi. This is our second time there, and we tried both the terrace (which is very cool on a summer evening) and the interior (which isn't very cozy). We'll definitely be back!

14/04/2026: A truly old-fashioned restaurant, where you don't take yourself too seriously, and where you eat very well for a reasonable price. We had a table reserved for seven, and we didn't finish all our dishes, yet we still ate very well 😊 A real bavette steak with shallots, not a tiny piece of meat, real shallots, not some industrial sauce. The owner (Yves?) and his sense of humor, the lovely waitress, €25 for the meal—we'll be back! Finally, they accept dogs. If they're friendly, you can let them off the leash—great for once.

13/04/2026: For some reason, as we arrived (at lunchtime - before 15) we were told, in broken English, that we cannot order anything to eat. No reason given, nothing. No information about it was given anywhere. Well, I was hoping to try good Lyonese food at theirs, but it turns out they didn't want my money. Edit: turns out they end lunchtime at 14:30 here and close their kitchens. Ok, I see, still it would have merited some explanation other than slightly aggressive "You can't eat."...

12/02/2026: A wonderful find by chance! Simple, home-style cooking. Pleasant staff. Generous portions. Worth remembering...
