25/11/2024: Well, I won't talk about the club because I couldn't even get in there. What I wanted to talk about was the two bouncers at the entrance who turned me away without giving me the slightest reason and in a rather rude manner, one SUNDAY evening at 11:30 p.m. I just wanted to have a quick beer after working all day, isn't that possible? Probably they didn't let them in because, not long before, I was talking a little loudly on the phone with another Italian friend of mine? I don't know, but after this scene, I think I'll avoid coming back here. That's great, see you ever again.

10/11/2024: Always a good atmosphere at Loupika, a cocooning, caring place. We can discover new DJs who are starting out, it’s really great that they give everyone the chance to perform. Favorite place in Lyon 🫶🏻

07/01/2026: If you're not a student and white (sorry, but it has to be said), just don't go. From the moment I walked in, the welcome was particularly cold, with an immediate feeling of not being welcome. The evening menu was also surprising: no hot drinks (tea, coffee), which is odd for an establishment open during the winter. (There was snow.) Several things happened throughout the evening that significantly detracted from the experience. At 9 p.m., I was asked to move to another room because one had closed early (I understand). At 10:14 p.m., even though Google indicated closing time as 11:30 p.m., a waitress asked me to transfer my drink into a plastic cup so the glasses could be cleaned. Finally, at 10:40 p.m., I was asked to leave the establishment. These practices contradict the advertised hours and give the impression of disrespectful customer service. The experience was uncomfortable, frustrating, and particularly disappointing. It would be advisable for the establishment to clearly display its actual closing times and the type of clientele it intends to serve, in order to avoid this kind of situation and preserve the customer experience. As it stands, this visit remains one of the worst experiences I've had in a café.

17/02/2026: Having friends visiting Lyon for the weekend, they couldn't leave without having tried a traditional Lyonnais bouchon. During our stroll, we stumbled upon Le Condé, which delighted us. With its calm and welcoming atmosphere, we had a very pleasant time and enjoyed a truly excellent meal! I highly recommend it.

08/12/2025: Tonight they refused to serve tea. If you don't order anything, the toilet is inaccessible. I've never seen anything like it! Shame on this shopkeeper. Hot chocolate was €3.80, not a drop of milk! There were two of us! I was barely allowed to sit down. I come from Franche-Comté; I'll remember the hospitality of Lyon.

16/02/2026: I absolutely do not recommend this place. Besides having an unpleasant waiter who has absolutely no manners (no hello, no thank you), the café is filthy, there were ants on the tables, the ashtrays were full when we arrived, and the toilets were dirty. When we asked for our table to be cleaned, the waiter didn't even apologize for the state of the table and didn't change the ashtrays. The waiter was also on his phone the entire time, with his hood up and his hair down; I even found a phone in my hot chocolate!

16/02/2026: Avoid at all costs. Unpleasant staff: barely a hello, no thank you at the checkout. The waiter stays on his phone behind the counter and seems reluctant to put it down to answer customer requests. The tables and restrooms are dirty, and when you ask for the tables to be cleaned, no apology is offered for the inconvenience.

24/02/2026: A very nice experience on the terrace; we were very comfortable, there was a great variety of choices, and everything was really very good.

31/01/2026: We chose the brasserie area because I knew the place and was happy to go back. I felt uncomfortable, the staff was unpleasant and the welcome nonexistent, avoid it at all costs!!!! No atmosphere and a lack of respect

04/03/2026: After reading the reviews, I was really ambivalent about the place, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The servers were super friendly and the food was really very good, although I thought the price was perhaps a tad high. The atmosphere and the comfortable seating were also nice. My only disappointment is that there's very little space to move between the tables; they're much too close together, and if you happen to end up in a spot in the aisle, it's awful... It's obvious they're trying to maximize the space...

24/02/2026: A landmark on Cours Charlemagne, this 40-year-old establishment is truly beautiful! And the Italian family is warm and welcoming. Chef Joseph is in the kitchen, his daughter Sabrina manages the dining room, and Mama oversees everything—we love it! The dishes are beautiful and delicious! The setting features Italian frescoes and tasteful decor.

22/02/2026: We were walking through Lyon after sightseeing, simply wanting to extend the moment with a good meal. That's how we ended up here, almost by chance. The dining room was calm, without any unnecessary commotion. A simple, straightforward atmosphere. The welcome, however, left us a little hesitant. We had to make eye contact, initiate the greeting. Nothing dramatic, but it's something that sticks in the memory of a place. Then the pizzas arrived. We chose a cream base, as is often the case. And there, the presentation spoke volumes. A perfectly held crust, precise cooking, a generous topping without being heavy. The cream added roundness and balance without masking the flavors. I finished mine without difficulty... and I even helped my partner finish hers. That's often a good sign. The service remained adequate, without any particular flair. As for drinks, the prices are noticeably above average. A detail that contributes to the overall balance. However, I retain the essential point: a sincere, well-executed product that prioritizes execution over decoration. My perspective evolves over time. Consistency will make the difference. Simple things, when done well, remain the most memorable.

18/01/2026: This restaurant exceeded my expectations. The food was good and quick. The service was fast and friendly. I am not sure about some of the other reviews but every one of the staff was very friendly. If you’re expecting a premiere restaurant, don’t eat here. If you’re expecting a good meal, authentic recipes, friendly service, and a decent price, you will find what you look for here.

10/12/2025: Disappointing experience! Had dinner there last night and really regret picking this place. The service was bad but I was looking forward to the food which end up being even worse. When we walked in the reception wasn’t very nice and the waitress took forever to get to our table. We ordered a la carte. The onion soup was very disappointing with almost no cheese and very watery. Absolutely not worth the €15 they charge for it. I also, had the prime steak which was supposed to be medium but was rather well done. It wasn’t horrible but not impressive either. The worst were the French fries which had a very strong taste of old oil and some weird aftertaste that lingered in my mouth all evening. These were by far the worst fries I ever had. The wine was the only good thing. Wouldn’t recommend and I would never go back.

13/01/2026: I happened to be passing by and bought a galette des rois (king cake). They said it was good but expensive, the service was deplorable, no smiles, extremely unpleasant. Perhaps they should consider changing careers!

10/01/2026: Special mention goes to their specialty breads and their custard tart; my current favorite is the pistachio tart, which is neither cloying nor overly sweet. The staff is always smiling and welcoming.

10/12/2025: The service was incredibly slow (over 30 minutes to receive our food) for cuisine that offered nothing special except for its exorbitant price. The setting, however, was pleasant.

06/12/2025: Pleasant place to have a drink on the terrace. Quick service.
