18/05/2026: For a change from Nantes, about which Barbara sang of the rain, it was raining in Amiens when we went… and it was this rain that, in a way, allowed us, while we were disappointed not to be able to go out on a boat in the floating gardens, to have a wonderful encounter and a truly excellent lunch! The way the andouillette was mentioned on the menu, which we glanced at in passing, hinted at great things to come, and we weren't disappointed, quite the opposite! First, the welcome: quick and friendly. Then the glasses, filled with helpful advice, surprise, and generosity. Finally, the food: a blend of tradition and modernity, showcasing the chef's mastery (ah, that spring andouillette…) and encouraging emerging talent (ah, that strawberry-rhubarb crumble, ah, that sabayon playfully tucked into a delectable, reimagined dish). It was a moment of generosity and sharing, of conversation and discovery (OMG, that wine cellar and that liquor cart...). I left enriched with wonderful memories, with the intention of returning!

13/05/2026: Passing through Amiens, I stopped for lunch today with my wife. The woman managing the dining room was very haughty, confusing the waiters and seeming completely out of her depth. It ruined the atmosphere. The food was quite good, but there's no way I'll be going back if it means witnessing so much violence. The prices are also excessive.

01/05/2026: Recommended by one of my former students a few years ago, we came as a group of four—my partner, our mothers, and myself. We had a wonderful time. The pre-dinner drink on the terrace was very pleasant. We highly recommend it to your customers. We were treated superbly by our hosts. We started with small amuse-bouches, followed by a very original pea gazpacho. We opted for the set menu, even though all the dishes on the menu looked very tempting (the morel and coppa ham and the turbot with vanilla were particularly appealing). The salmon tartare was absolutely excellent, perfectly seasoned, and very flavorful; I could still taste it at the end of the meal. This was followed by a perfectly cooked, pearly white sea bass with baby vegetables and tandoori sauce. We finished with cheeses and a chocolate fondant for my partner and my mother. The setting was beautiful and very peaceful. I was eager to try your cuisine, and I wasn't disappointed. The moment was also very special for us because our mothers were there and they loved it. 30/03/2026: Don't miss L'Abbatiale in Corbie; it's a charming and cozy little restaurant that deserves to be better known. The welcome is warm and friendly. It all starts with amuse-bouches while you choose your dish and wait. The menu is small, but that's a guarantee of homemade cuisine using local and seasonal produce, and it shows. The vegetables are full of flavor, my duck breast was tender and perfectly cooked—we thoroughly enjoyed it. The dishes are as delicious as they are beautiful. Even children are treated like royalty. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return. Thank you to the manager and the chef.

18/05/2026: I've never been spoken to so rudely in my life! Me and two friends went there this Sunday evening. There were only two employees there, and they were in the middle of a rush because of Uber Eats orders, I think. We waited for a good ten minutes even though there was only one other person ahead of us, but we didn't want to rush them (having worked in fast food myself, I understand that a busy period with only two people isn't easy). The two employees were irritated, the woman in particular, throwing the cheese slices instead of putting them down; everything about her gestures was filled with annoyance. When one of the two colleagues became available, we politely approached him, and he told us that we had to go through his colleague first. His colleague, hearing this, looked up and said, "Yeah, well, I'll finish my order first. You'll have to wait." Her comment, her tone, and the look she gave us were utterly disdainful, but we waited nonetheless and apologized for rushing her. When our turn finally came, I asked the woman what the options were, as it was the first time for all three of us at this fast-food restaurant. She replied, "Well, we have everything you want." I pressed her, asking if she could list them for me. She only listed half the possibilities. Tired of not getting any more explanation, I chose a meat option. She asked if I wanted cheese, I said yes, and she gave me cheddar, the first cheese she could find, even though I wanted mozzarella. I didn't say anything. She then put my sandwich in to cook, without asking if I wanted it hot or cold. Then her colleague took over to add the vegetables, and he, too, gave us no explanation. When we hesitated over the sauce, he sighed and looked at us with an annoyance. He rushed us as much as possible, not giving us time to consider the options. Finally, when it came time to pay, we were charged extra, but we didn't even know why since all three of us had ordered the same set menu. However, tired of this stressful attitude, which made it clear that the sooner we left, the better for them, we decided to leave without asking any questions. Perhaps politeness was also an extra charge? As for hygiene, there were large sauce stains on the tables. It wasn't the dirtiest restaurant I've ever seen, but it certainly wasn't one of the cleanest. Finally, regarding the sandwiches: they were good. They weren't the most amazing sandwiches we've ever had, but all three of us enjoyed them and weren't hungry afterward.

17/04/2026: We received a very warm welcome at La Hutterie. We ordered the dish of the day, veal kidneys: a real treat! This is our second time at this restaurant and we were not disappointed at all. We will definitely be back.

27/04/2026: I absolutely loved Amiens. And for food, a special mention goes to Port Saint Leu, 45/47 Quai Belu, 80000 Amiens. My first impression was that it might be a tourist trap? But it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. A €35 set menu (which might seem a bit pricey, but it's worth it) includes an aperitif, starter, main course, and dessert. Plus, the mussels on the chalkboard offer excellent value for money (around €16). Special mention for the spit-roasted pig (with its crispy skin 😋). The service was very professional and friendly despite the crowds. I'll definitely be back 😋
