02/09/2024: Nous avons été fort déçus. C'est tout juste moyen. Nous sommes habitués aux vraies galettes de sarrazin que l'on déguste à Quiberon par ex. Ici, elles sont toutes molles sans goût particulier. L'assaisonnement cache ce défaut.

22/09/2024: Bestelde vlees was zo zwart als houtskool en zo taai als een schoenzool. De service maakte een hoop goed maar voor het eten hoef je niet te gaan.

À la prochaine! Very friendly staff and very pleasant atmosphere! The lamb chops were excellent. Leave a little space for dessert...Nice variety... Recommended: Le Chic Gourmand... Lovely experience in a very nice restaurant. We'll definitely be back!

05/05/2024: Finally writing a review of my fabulous Battlefields tour with Jon last year! I’m so pleased I chose Jon from Old Blighty Battlefield tours (who also runs the tea rooms with his wife) to research and guide me on my very moving, personalized tour of the Somme area (including Pozieres & Bullecourt ) where my Australian grandfather fought in World War I (in the 22nd battalion and related Pioneers.) Jon tailored the tour to my needs but was also very flexible about where we went. (This was particularly important as I unfortunately only had one full day. I wish I could have spent at least two days seeing the area.) While I’d seen some of my grandfather’s army records beforehand, Jon researched his and his battalion’s movements thoroughly. It was very moving to often stand either on or close to, as well as see the very places where my grandfather would have stood, fought, dug trenches, camped etc, and to visit other sites such as the John Monash centre and towns where these men might have visited /stayed in when not in battle. With his deep knowledge of the history and local geography, Jon clearly explained what happened in various locations and the context, logistics etc. I highly recommend Jon as a highly informative, articulate guide and delightful person. I felt very comfortable doing a solo tour with him.

21/12/2025: My mother and I came to this guesthouse a few years ago, and we remember having a very pleasant evening with an accommodating and very friendly host.

09/09/2025: A very moody phone conversation with the owner! A very sour and not at all friendly person. I called to ask about availability. She asked if it was for a box, I said yes. And she replied very curtly: "Why don't you tell me, Madam?" I didn't understand. And she continued viciously by telling me that she didn't have any availability in September or October, and I quote: "I only have weddings during the next two months, you have to come during the week." I told her that during the week: we work! Mind-blowing. She spoke to me like a dog (and even then, I'm nicer to my dog). I've rarely seen weddings in October, but oh well... I ended this "conversation." One thing is certain, judging by the comments I've seen everywhere... I wasn't the problem. If Wonderboxes are a problem for this lady, she should end the partnership. Even seeing that she completely changes jobs because there she is sorely lacking in politeness, kindness and sympathy.
