29/05/2026: Very mixed feelings. The homemade mojito... the preparation was lacking. The €28 set menu... the soup was okay because the ingredients were combined in a particular way. The duck was best forgotten. And the ice cream... not made with milk. Overall, it wasn't tasty, especially since the chef advertises seasonal and local produce. It looked nothing like the dishes in the photos.

29/05/2026: A truly wonderful culinary experience. Refined cuisine and just the right portion size (especially for a small eater 🤣). The service was a little slow between courses, so allow plenty of time for your meal.

24/07/2026: We had a wonderful dining experience at L’Ancienne Gare. The beef tenderloin was absolutely perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and full of flavor. The shrimp was also excellent and definitely something I would recommend. Even though I don’t speak French, the staff made us feel very welcome. They were incredibly friendly, patient, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. The food, the atmosphere, and the hospitality were all exceptional. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area!

23/07/2026: An address found completely by chance. The location is good. The welcome was warm and friendly, and the staff were attentive, for which we thank them. We appreciated the quality of the service and the food. It's an address I recommend both for the welcome and the value for money.

28/07/2026: The welcome was appalling, under the pretext that "it's busy." I had taken the precaution of making a reservation: I was told over the phone, "Today's special is chicken or fried carp, but you have to choose in advance." Strange, is this a school cafeteria? Upon our arrival, a woman was shouting loudly and running around frantically. The tables were set for groups, and there was hardly anyone in the dining room. After waiting, we were offered a corner of these tables, either right by the counter or in the aisle. "A little further away, please?" The response was, "Oh no, someone will be arriving at that other table," and the woman turned around and left. What a welcome! We decided to leave, even though she clumsily tried to get our attention. I should add that the dining room is small and outdated. Perhaps the "chicken of the day" would have made up for the poor service? In any case, we do not recommend this establishment and will not be returning.

12/07/2026: A magnificent restaurant in every way, a very high-quality establishment with a very warm welcome, especially from Chloé Saumolière, who knows her products well, gives excellent advice, and is always attentive. A superb evening; I highly recommend it.

02/07/2026: We went there at lunchtime for two people; the wait was too long. The waitress was very friendly, but the ribeye steak was really small considering the price.

31/07/2026: What a cool restaurant with a terrace by the water! The food was delicious! It was busy and the staff, some of whom speak a little English, worked hard to serve everyone. Sometimes there was a bit of a wait, but oh well, it is lovely sitting there on the terrace. Dogs are welcome! Unfortunately for us it was a one-time visit due to a holiday, but otherwise we would definitely have been there more often! I think making a reservation is highly recommended during peak season.

28/07/2026: A very good restaurant with a magnificent terrace overlooking the water and the Malsaucy lake. The fried fish is excellent, with a wide variety of choices. The service is top-notch, with helpful advice and dishes brought quickly. It's best to book in advance to guarantee a table. A very pleasant restaurant in the Belfort area.

10/07/2026: After some time away, we returned to L’Iris: A wonderful experience in every respect: a family-run restaurant, now in its third generation, that offers much more than just excellent food. There's something for everyone: on the cozy terrace, under the shady trees, or in the air-conditioned dining room – you simply feel comfortable and welcome! We'll definitely be back often to enjoy a special moment.
