03/06/2026: During my last visit, I was very disappointed by the attitude of a saleswoman who was particularly unpleasant.
I simply asked her to heat my sandwich for about ten seconds, as I can't stand it when the bread is too hot. Her response was inappropriate: she told me I didn't have to tell her how to do her job and was disrespectful in her manner of speaking.
I tried to explain that, as a customer, I had the right to request that my sandwich be made more to my liking. She responded rudely again, stating that I didn't have to teach her how to make sandwiches.
However, I would like to point out that the waiter and the younger saleswoman who were there were, on the other hand, very kind, professional, and pleasant.
Unfortunately, this employee creates a very bad atmosphere and doesn't give a good impression of the establishment. Given this experience, we will not be returning.
22/05/2026: I was supposed to try the Dip & Crunch as part of a partnership with Sampleo. When I asked, she insisted I choose the bread first without even letting me ask. In the end, they didn't do it. I started the sandwich and continued, but she left me standing there for another customer while I was telling her about the filling. A colleague ended up finishing. At the register, not a thank you or goodbye because she had to take care of giving out a cookie to the sister of one of the employees... A very bad experience, I won't be back and I'm not likely to give you a good review.

13/07/2026: I ordered 4 McDonald's meals, and the drive-thru was empty. I waited 30 minutes and still hadn't received my order. Unhappy customers made it impossible to manage the drive-thru, and the interior was unacceptable! Avoid at all costs!
13/07/2026: McDonald's is extremely dirty, avoid at all costs. The toilets are disgusting, there's no water to wash your hands, and the smell is awful. It's really unacceptable for a food establishment.

26/07/2026: Very disappointed with the service and hygiene during the festival… it was like a canteen! The place wasn't clean, nor were the cutlery or dishes. There was food on the floor, kitchen utensils scattered all over the counter mixed with the food served to customers—in short, the management was completely disorganized and unprofessional.
An unpleasant smell, and the waiter was barefoot…
In short, the drinks weren't good either: a bland iced coffee and iced tea… €9.
We rarely leave negative reviews, but in this case… avoid this place. Avignon has much better to offer.
24/07/2026: A delightful discovery at the festival! The food was fresh and delicious, the portions generous, and the atmosphere friendly. The staff were always smiling and attentive despite the crowds. We had a wonderful time and left feeling very satisfied!

23/07/2026: The evening and daytime staff are exceptional; the daytime staff are full of smiles, good humor, and energy! Unfortunately, the food and management are disastrous! There are arguments between the owners in front of customers and employees, shouting can be heard from the terrace, and the food is slow and quite expensive for what it is. (Three stars are reserved for the servers.)
23/07/2026: The Place des Corps Saints is a pleasant place to sit. However, the bar Les Célestins is a real tourist trap.
For example, two bottles of white wine listed at €22 on the menu were charged to us at €50. Also, pay close attention to the menu; the "charcuterie/cheese" platter is listed at €13.90, but this presentation is misleading. The "/" actually means "or," not "and." If you don't specify this when ordering, you'll be served both, and the bill jumps to €23.
As for the platters themselves, the portions are very small, and the quality is quite average. Considering the prices, the value for money is far from satisfactory. A very disappointing experience that I do not recommend.

23/07/2026: The mussels were small and uncleaned. The fries were dry and the bread smelled stale.
The wine came from a skinless bottle.
I already had a bad feeling when we sat down, and it was completely confirmed...no thanks.
The basic principles of gastronomy, hygiene and freshness, are disregarded here. You can see that even when you walk through the dining area to the restroom 😵💫
The only positive thing about the restaurant visit was that I was able to completely empty my bowels.
23/07/2026: Apparently, there's only one bread basket for all the tables. It's placed on the service cart without the bread being refreshed and is returned unchanged to each table with every new order. The baguette inside was dry, and I don't want to know how many hands had touched it today.
The mussels were uncleaned and most of them completely broken. The lack of hygiene is pervasive throughout the entire brasserie.
Avoid needing to use the restroom!

25/07/2026: The abundance of green salad perfectly masks the poverty of the other ingredients in the Niçoise salad.
18/07/2026: Very bad food, kind waitress but forgot us. Had to get our own cutlery. Meat was tough, tasteless and cold. Salad was a green leaf with a lot of sauce, we found plastic and green paint in our food. The coca cola was nice though.

02/07/2026: We ordered a tuna sandwich and a ham sandwich, and we both got stomach aches. There were flies in the shop and on the pizzas. The tuna was brown in some of the sandwiches, and even though I specifically asked for it, I still got sick. I don't recommend it.
02/07/2026: We went into a shop where it was warmer than outside (it was July...).
€2.80 for 10 choux pastries—well, choux pastries in name only, because these were as hard as rocks...
I won't even mention the size or shape, because some of them looked like they'd already been chewed.
The saleswoman—I wouldn't dare call her a baker—was about as friendly and welcoming as a morgue attendant. Avoid at all costs.

10/08/2026: We were very disappointed with our experience. The restaurant clearly advertised a mixed platter for €12 during happy hour instead of €25, so we ordered it, specifying that we wanted to take advantage of the offer. Imagine our surprise when the bill arrived: the platter was charged at €25!
When we pointed this out, instead of simply acknowledging the error and correcting it, they basically told us we had "misunderstood" the offer. How convenient… Mistakes happen, but blaming the customer when we specifically mentioned the promotion when ordering is frankly unacceptable. If the advertised offer isn't valid as stated, they shouldn't have promoted it at all.
In short, a disappointing experience, especially considering we were charged twice the advertised price. We won't be returning.
09/08/2026: The food was fine; I ordered a toasted sandwich which was supposed to come with a salad, but it consisted of just a few lettuce leaves with some sauce on top. The waitress was very pushy and gave the impression that she wanted us off the terrace, even though it was practically empty, and was also very rude otherwise. I certainly would not recommend eating here.

What's more, the waiter tried to scam me out of €10 in cash without writing it on the bill—a disgrace! Avoid at all costs.
20/07/2026: Restaurant... if you can even call it a restaurant 🙄 Avoid at all costs... the wait was incredibly long even though the terrace wasn't full. The mussels were way overcooked, and the fries were really bad!!
And don't even get me started on the state of the toilets 🤢

18/07/2026: Disappointment... For 40 years, we've been coming to your establishment every year for the festival, and this year, when I ordered for myself and my daughter had an Italian ice cream, she was refused a glass of water! What a shame... such a lack of courtesy! What an image! Refusing a customer a glass of water!

25/07/2026: The "sink" of a breaststroke, the cooks are smoking on the terrace—hygiene?!
The mussels won't open and are as closed as the suggested solutions! A little boxed Côtes du Rhône to wash it all down and that's that.
A place to absolutely avoid!!!
25/07/2026: The welcome was friendly, but that's where the positives end. The food was disastrously good. The mussels marinière had no trace of wine in the sauce and no flavor whatsoever. The entrecôte was barely ribeye. A disappointing experience. Avoid at all costs.

14/07/2026: Keep walking, folks! What a shame… This terrace is ideally located, but the experience unfortunately doesn’t live up to its location.
