06/03/2026: Avoid at all costs. Disappointed from start to finish. We went there expecting to find the menu shown on their website, but the concept has changed to a "Parisian bouillon." We thought, "Okay, let's see." Five starters, five main courses, five desserts. There were five of us, and we were the only ones in the dining room for a while. Five aperitifs: one was forgotten, and there were no accompaniments. For the starter: foie gras for my father, which arrived a grayish color. We immediately saw that it wasn't good because it was oxidized. We alerted the waitress, who said, "Indeed, I didn't want to serve it to you; I wouldn't eat that myself." She offered to serve another slice, but since the foie gras was "already pre-cut," it was inedible. The main course (€20, as it was listed on a different chalkboard): fish with peas and gratin: all frozen, and a portion large enough for a four-year-old. No taste, no flavor; I didn't even want to touch it. Expecting to enjoy some cheese, we were told, "We don't have any; it's not part of our concept." No cheese in a French restaurant—I've seen it all. Disappointed, we didn't order dessert. Embarrassed, a waiter offered us a digestif, my father-in-law asked for a pear, the waiter said okay and brought him a brandy or a mirabelle plum... in short, a disaster! We asked the owner and/or the chef to come and see us, but no one came; we were told they had left. Luckily, we didn't pay for the foie gras or the fish.

27/02/2026: A successful transformation at La Cathédrale! The new Parisian-style broth is a delight for the taste buds. The place retains all its charm, ideal for a business lunch or a romantic dinner, well laid out, clean, and tidy. Soissons' must-visit restaurant is getting a makeover in 2026. While we wait for warmer weather to enjoy the terrace.

27/05/2026: New to the area, I enjoyed this lovely little boat trip. A nice little meal with a great team 👍 The service was excellent. Personally, I'm not a fan of the souvenir photo session; that's just my preference. One thing to note: the boat gets very noisy once it's full, but luckily the front deck is accessible for some fresh air during this heatwave. 😉 Definitely worth doing 👍👍

05/12/2025: The hotel is located in a quiet area, with plenty of parking; I was even able to park a 20m³ van! The manager was very welcoming, friendly, and had a great sense of humor, which was fantastic! The room was also very nice, the bedding was comfortable. The only downside was the TV, which couldn't find any channels (room 8); but for one night, it wasn't a big deal. The small bottle of water provided was a nice touch! Meals at the hotel were also good, with a pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast was very good, served directly at the table; to be picky, I'd say an egg and a slice of bacon would have been perfect 🤙 Looking forward to returning! 🙂

23/04/2026: Nice family area to enjoy the sun while on holiday. Because of the circular shape of the area , makes it easier to keep an eye on the little one. Plenty of sun bathing area for those interested. The bar was not too far away to top up the drinks as needed.

21/04/2026: I had the opportunity to eat at this superb spot and I truly had a wonderful time. The new all-you-can-eat buffet system is excellent: there's a wide variety of choices, the ingredients are fresh, and everything is beautifully presented. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. I will gladly return and highly recommend this place!

25/02/2026: The person who usually cooks was absent. Especially if it wasn't him, run away! It was awful, overcooked even though we asked for it rare, NOTHING was good. Too bad, we're done with it.

02/05/2026: I sincerely hope the bread, pastry, and sandwich preparation area is cleaner than the toilets... It's a real disgrace... And at 9:30 in the morning, so please don't tell me it's the customers' fault. No soap, a disgusting toilet bowl, and a door half-patched up... It's a real shame because the location is good and pleasant.

15/05/2026: I'm so fed up! Every time I go there, something's always missing. Today, the book was missing from the Happy Meal! If this keeps up, I'm not going back! I'll go to Burger King instead; at least they're reliable.

27/04/2026: One of the worst kebab experiences I've ever had. The quality is clearly catastrophic, and you can tell from the first bite. The staff were serving without gloves, and they even had hair in the kebab. The meat tasted questionable, the bread was frankly awful, and the fries were simply inedible, with a nauseating smell of old oil. It really feels like nothing is done to guarantee even a minimum level of quality. How can such an establishment still be open with such deplorable hygiene? Not to mention the owner, who is particularly unpleasant. Honestly, avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of much better places. Don't waste your money here; you risk getting sick like my wife and I did.

05/03/2026: Avoid at all costs! This has become the worst kebab shop in St. Quentin! The meat is far too greasy, the fries are soggy, it looks like everything was reheated in the microwave. We asked for extras (cheese or sauce on the fries because there wasn't any) and they were forgotten... truly MEDIOCRE

08/04/2026: The owner is very pleasant. Smiling, dynamic, sociable...step inside this very friendly establishment!

18/01/2026: We ordered three pizzas to take away for €44, and the owner gave us a free three-chocolate cake because ours was broken in the middle. When we arrived, there were no other customers in the restaurant, which I found surprising on a Sunday evening... To put it simply, it wasn't good at all. I do not recommend this place.

13/01/2026: Eating a tuna pizza was a disappointment. The ingredients list said parsley and garlic, but there was no parsley... bland and undercooked, with a raw egg on top. In short, it was rubbish.

25/05/2026: I ordered two large gourmet milkshakes and one large classic milkshake this evening. We were pleasantly surprised when we got home to find that the gourmet milkshake cups were only half full, while the classic one was completely full. Paying €4.40 for a gourmet milkshake that only contained the contents of a small classic milkshake seems outrageous to me. €12.70 wasted.

02/05/2026: We sat on the terrace and ordered three coffees ☕️. The waitress was polite and pleasant, and the presentation was a nice surprise! 7.20 euros for three coffees on the terrace, plus a mini pain au chocolat and a small cake... absolutely reasonable 👍 I recommend this place (Grand Café de l'Univers Saint-Quentin on the main square by the town hall).

05/05/2026: I just wanted to say there's nothing. There's never anything "simple" to eat, not even simple hamburgers. Not even pasta anymore. Honestly, it's a shame; every time we want to go there to eat, none of the dishes look appealing.

04/05/2026: Sunday 1:15 PM, no more pasta; 2 PM, no more fries... the kitchen was so full that I couldn't find any more. Having worked at Flunch a few years ago, I find this slightly excessive for Sunday lunchtime... add to that a slice of ham as thin as a sheet of paper, a very bad experience.

19/04/2026: The dishes are old or not-so-great lunchtime fare; there are only 3 different types of sushi and no more than 20 hot dishes. I'm always waiting for them to cook my wok dish.

15/04/2026: Very good, I loved the atmosphere, the welcome was top-notch, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself!
