12/05/2026: My parents have just returned from their stay at La Tour du Roy and wanted to share their wonderful experience: “La Tour du Roy in Vervins, Thiérache, offered us a timeless escape with its charm and warm welcome. The resort and the village have a fascinating history. Michelin-starred Chef Annie Desvignes delighted us with her dishes, which were a true treat for our taste buds. Our respect to her and our thanks to her entire team. We also enjoyed a very pleasant and extremely professional massage. We had an exceptional time and will return as soon as we can.”

22/04/2026: A truly beautiful setting. A warm and distinguished welcome. A place steeped in history, full of charm for those who appreciate it. A delightful encounter with the staff and the owner. We are so glad that "chance" led us to this place. The bedding was of very high quality, and the rooms were spacious. The restaurant and its menus, created by Chef Madame Desvignes, were a true delight. Thank you for everything and for our wonderful conversations.

10/06/2026: A very pleasant restaurant with a varied menu… it just lacked a sauce for the gyoza, but everything was good.

31/05/2026: The buffet was small but better than other all-you-can-eat restaurants. However, there was very little dessert left and no one refilled their plates.

05/04/2026: It's hard to find a good restaurant in this area. Maya was a pleasant surprise. The daily special (veal for Easter) was quite good. The dessert was acceptable. The coffee wasn't great. The setting, with its green outdoor area, could be quite appealing in good weather.

I left my room one evening to pick up my Uber Eats order and I came across a dark-haired girl with a nitrous oxide canister, walking around with five boys who were clearly not in their right minds. I wondered what they were doing…

26/02/2026: This Ibis hotel was a relaxing stopover on my journey and offered good value for money. Hopefully, the price will remain affordable in the near future when it becomes a green Ibis Styles. Anything over €110 per night including breakfast would be beyond my budget.

27/03/2026: Run away! Expensive and not good food. Omelette with dried herbs. When you ask why it's not good, they tell you, "I'll pass the message on to the kitchen"... the staff, the food, nothing is right. Except for the price, which is very high for what you get. Paying for good food, yes; paying for bad food, no! I'm from Soissons and I'm ashamed for our tourists! There are much better restaurants in Soissons, thankfully.

03/05/2026: The kebab meat was excellent quality, but the bread was soft and the price was very high. Everything was extra, even the sauce at €0.20 😡. The bread and cheese were way too expensive in my opinion; I think it's outrageous.

16/05/2026: Absolutely terrible! We're from Belgium and we stopped here, and what a bad idea that was... The place was dirty, we waited forever to be served, even though we chose McDonald's hoping for quick service and an easy drive home. First and last time for us. We'll go somewhere else on our next trip.
