13/06/2026: We stayed at this establishment to celebrate my husband's birthday (budget of nearly €1,000 for the night and dinner). Beforehand, everything went very well: the reception team was particularly attentive and available to organize this surprise. Unfortunately, the stay revealed several major shortcomings in the professionalism of the on-site staff, which fell short of the standards expected for such a prestigious establishment. To top it all off, the post-stay management was disastrous. After I left a toiletry bag behind (for which I was responsible), the reception demanded my bank details by email to charge me for its return. When I expressed my surprise, I received a late-night email that completely ignored my disappointment and instead asked me to leave a review on the château's website – bizarre and inappropriate. Although the sales manager eventually rectified the situation the following day with apologies and assistance, the overall experience remains very disappointing for a Relais & Châteaux property. It's a shame that shortcomings in service and IT security marred such a promising start. In response to your comment: I would like to correct several statements. First, I did not make any "threat" of a negative review. It was the night receptionist who, in his inappropriate late-night message, explicitly asked me to leave a review. I did indeed tell him that I would. Regarding the "major shortcomings" during the stay (which was otherwise quite pleasant), I had chosen not to elaborate out of courtesy to the staff, but the content of your response compels me to do so: 1. For an establishment of this caliber, it is surprising that some employees do not speak English fluently. 2. When I paid in cash, the receptionist rudely asked if she should "give me my change." Although I had previously opted to leave her a tip, demanding change in this way instead of simply giving it back is unacceptable professional misconduct for a business of this standing. I regret that your response attempts to shift the blame rather than acknowledge these shortcomings.

28/05/2026: The restaurant was exceptional, but it's a shame that when it's 30 degrees Celsius there's no parasol equipped with a fan or misting system... which makes the meal less enjoyable.

20/09/2026: A lovely crêperie where we received a warm welcome. The selection of crêpes is varied. The crêpes are generously filled and delicious. This is the perfect place for a meal with friends or as a couple.

13/08/2026: I ordered an American steak... what a disappointment! I only ate bread, the steak was tiny... I've had American steaks elsewhere where the bread was three times as full for less money... I definitely don't recommend it... 10 bucks with a drink... avoid it!

11/08/2026: Without a doubt, the best place in Soissons for an American-style burger. Generous portions and very friendly staff. Good food at a reasonable price. I recommend this place to anyone tired of McDonald's and kebab shops.

28/07/2026: A big thank you to Franck and his mother for your hospitality. The food was excellent, and the little café was lovely.

06/04/2026: The bedding was adequate, but there was no soundproofing whatsoever; we could hear doors slamming until late in the evening, the sounds of conversations from neighboring rooms, the toilets, etc. The decor was very dated, stuck in the 80s/90s, and the bathroom could be cleaner. The water temperature was difficult to regulate. Breakfast was decent but basic; €48 when booking for 4 people, but ultimately charged at €52.

05/03/2026: An authentic establishment. High-quality food, fresh and beautifully presented products. The welcome and staff are beyond reproach. A reputable establishment. A truly authentic address.

06/09/2026: A superb day yesterday for our 50th wedding anniversary! 🥂🍾🎂 Everything was perfect: the meal, the cabaret show, and especially the manager and our waiter, Thomas. We highly recommend it.

06/09/2026: Excellent establishment! I was there as a guest and had a magical day. The staff is very welcoming, available, attentive to your needs, and very kind. The dishes served were delicious and generous. The singer who accompanied the meal has a beautiful voice and adapts to all styles of music effortlessly. As for the show, words fail me to describe their performance; they made us dream. I highly recommend this place without hesitation.

25/08/2026: This establishment is utterly lacking in humanity! On the eve of 2027, the manager is still making questionable, racially charged jokes to people of color?! Tacky jokes to a regular customer about his credit card, and then checking afterward to see if it really belonged to him at the time of payment?! UNBELIEVABLE and DEHUMANIZING.

26/09/2026: A small restaurant where I had a good meal (butcher's cut), a very generous portion, and a good piece of meat. Unfortunately, the service is very slow. We waited 40 minutes for our food. The second time, we left before being served, having waited 50 minutes; we couldn't take it anymore. Is there only one cook? Perhaps they should consider hiring someone... I won't be going back.

06/09/2026: Sunday at 1 p.m., we arrived for lunch… the person who greeted us asked if we had a reservation… the immediate response was, “Not possible!” Strange, several empty tables on the terrace and none occupied inside! When I see 150 covers, we were nowhere near that. What's more, the restaurant is open until 6 p.m… why not make us wait until a table becomes available? In short… I won't be back!

06/09/2026: Pleasant setting with a lovely walk around the lake. A place to have a drink, but I wouldn't go back. Family experience (16 people for a birthday) Disappointing food and service We had to serve the champagne and the dishes ourselves, and one of the cakes we ordered was a disaster in both taste and appearance.) Incidentally, three people weren't feeling well the next day.

15/08/2026: I pop in there from time to time when I'm feeling a bit peckish, and I'm never disappointed. Good prices, and the people who work there are lovely and very welcoming ❤️

09/08/2026: Being refused entry on a Friday at 10:00 PM… I understand it's closing time, but when a customer is there with the owner, a drink in hand, I find it hard to understand. At least close the door and gate and be courteous to your customers… Better service at Café des Sports. It's a shame because we were loyal customers of the previous owners.

26/09/2026: My wife and I ate there last night, and it was such a pleasure to see this restaurant with its beautiful setting under new ownership. The staff is attentive, and I had the famous Soissoulet—it was amazing! The best dish I've had in Soissons. From appetizer to dessert, it was a delight. It's wonderful to see independent businesses working with seasonal, high-quality products. Well done, keep up the good work!

29/08/2026: !!!!WARNING: SEVERE FOOD POISONING!!! My wife suffered a severe case of food poisoning. Reheating old food is unacceptable for a restaurant. Furthermore, the mint leaves and salad were wilted. We suspect the noodles were the culprit, as they were the only thing we didn't eat together. You cut corners on reheated noodles at the expense of her health. You should be ashamed! By earning your few cents, you've earned me this review and the publicity that will come with it. Naturally, you've lost us as customers. You are completely irresponsible!!!!

21/09/2026: For a first visit, we weren't disappointed! Four friends had lunch with Manon and Cecilia, and the welcome was superb; the menu made our taste buds dance.
