23/09/2024: Situé au pied de l’église Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur, ce restaurant typiquement niçois est accueillant. Nous avons passé un bon moment dans ce restaurant aux plats typiques de Nice. J’ai beaucoup apprécié la tourte de blette.

09/09/2024: Excellent food, we had a great time in this restaurant with typical Nice dishes. Everything is tasty and the service perfect. Prices are competitive in the Vieux. We will return without any worries!

01/09/2024: During a random walk, the storefront attracted us. A natural parasol with large trees, a cool, pretty, no-fuss terrace. The delicious dishes, the charming service, the authentic place. Please note it is only open from May to September. There is also a bakery and pastry option, you can grab a quick bite to eat and enjoy the restaurant terrace. Speaking of which, the desserts are exquisite. I highly recommend.

29/08/2024: Magnificent setting, very friendly welcome, fast service. Very good traditional cuisine, the content is correct except for the aioli, a small piece of fish and a hard-boiled egg, a bit limited for the price. 3 whelks and or 3 extra mussels would be welcome.

11/05/2024: Very pleasant time in Makassar, from the welcome, to the dishes and the decor, everything is there. The brunches are generous and well prepared. Efficient and friendly service.

01/09/2024: Cold reception, "there is no room sir, come back around 1:15 p.m., for the second service". At 1315 p.m. "wait for a table to become available" A table finally becomes available at 1325 p.m., but the waitress refuses to clear it even though she passes several times empty-handed. She asks us who installed us, leaves, another server comes to tell us that we have to wait another 15 minutes. Always leaving without clearing the table or offering us a drink while waiting for things to calm down. After 25 minutes we decide to leave. This is the first time we have experienced such a terrible welcome. Too few staff, no customer reception training? There is work to be done...

30/08/2024: Amazing and Highly recommend. This was truly some of the best Indian food I had the pleasure of enjoying during my travels across Europe. The dishes were freshly prepared, with curries that were hot and bursting with authentic flavors. It’s easy to spot when food tastes artificial, overly oily, or premade, but that wasn’t the case here. We even returned during our stay because the food offered a sense of ultimate tranquility.

01/09/2024: Highly recommended brasserie, with a very warm welcome and its starter-main course-dessert menu for less than €15. Special mention to the cold starter buffet, the mussels and fries (including the children's menu) and the tarte tatin.

08/09/2024: Great restaurant with a local feeling and high standard overall. Elton in the kitchen cooked us some tender and tasty Meat, while Mamadu served our table with his warm and genuine presence. Would definitely visit again.

09/04/2024: This place was bad. The waiter was below average - he did not understand what we were asking and did not have knowledge of the menu - but still tried his best. We had two vegetarians (religious reasons) at our table and they specifically asked for no anchovy sauce on the salad, but it came with. The three risottos were cold in the middle. We went somewhere else (the bill was still €50! Even after all that! Sacre bleu!) and honestly were glad about it. Le Quebec was lovely, and we didn’t look back. Highly recommend that place. Very good. This place though. Yeah. Avoid. They obviously don’t make the food fresh, and the ambience was not fun. Very stuffy.

10/08/2024: I absolutely do not recommend this all you can eat sushi restaurant. From the start, I was disappointed by the total lack of consideration for customers. No one was taking care of us, I had to get up several times to order. Regarding the food, it was simply inedible. There was very little choice, and options that should be included in the all-you-can-eat formula given the price, such as sashimi and beef-chicken skewers, are each charged at €5. The chicken skewers were raw, the gyozas seemed clearly frozen and reheated two days before, they were so elastic. Honestly shameful, I don't understand how they dare to serve this rubbish for 21€. The yakitoris were raw and therefore completely inedible, the portions ridiculously small, whether it was the bobun, the rice or even the green curry... Ashamed to serve dishes in this state! In short, an experience to forget. Move on, this restaurant is really not worth it.

19/08/2024: In the shaded calm and away from the hustle and bustle and tourist noise of the seaside, and yet 5 minutes from the Prom, we are happy to have discovered the Insolent café: excellent cuisine, copious dishes, very good desserts, attentive service and very friendly welcome, one of the best value for money in the Carré d'Or.
