20/09/2026: Catastrophic! I've already been waiting for over 20 minutes (a man came to complain; he'd been waiting for over half an hour). I get my order, cold fries. I ask someone to change them, "Ma'am, you have to go to the counter," but I'm already at the counter! 🤣 I ask someone else, "Oh, put them there on the counter" (along with the other cold fries returned by other customers 🤣), but nobody gives me any more. It's a joke! I call yet another person, and finally, fries! Okay, no salt, we'll manage. I wasn't about to burden them by begging for salt.
They couldn't care less. I worked for years in a McDonald's, and we ran during the rush... here, they couldn't care less... I think there's no manager... or maybe he's just like them.
20/09/2026: When receiving your exact order becomes the exception, there's definitely a problem.
Friendliness is inconsistent, sandwiches are crammed together (surely to save space), and orders are almost always wrong (don't bother choosing your sauces, this place has switched to random selection).
In short, when will we get a Burger King in Obernai?

31/08/2026: A customer for 20 years. I only go back occasionally. Since they stopped baking the products on-site, the quality has been deplorable. They tell us the breads are different because of the organic flour, that the rolls travel well… Never a good mood, never a smile. Today, passing by the bakery, I thought I'd get a baguette; normally, it shouldn't have changed. I felt like going back and throwing it on the counter. It tasted like day-old bread. And at €1.30…
The pastries are tiny.
You can save yourself a reply. I won't be back. I'm writing this message simply to warn other customers. In each of your responses, you come up with some flimsy explanation to absolve yourselves. But strangely enough, customer comments always point in the same direction. Especially if I look at those from the last few months.
21/08/2026: I was disappointed with the service at this bakery. There are several waitresses, including one named Céline, if I'm not mistaken. I found her attitude really unpleasant: she rarely smiled, wasn't very welcoming, and her way of serving clearly gave the impression of being a nuisance. It's frankly unpleasant to come to the bakery when she's there. In fact, I found the atmosphere much more pleasant during the three weeks she was on vacation.
On the other hand, a special mention goes to Jessica, the blonde waitress: she's absolutely fantastic! Always smiling, welcoming, and pleasant with customers. So friendly! It makes all the difference.
It's a shame the experience can vary so much depending on who's behind the counter.

01/08/2026: The two people there that day did nothing but talk amongst themselves in their own language, were unpleasant, and incredibly slow making our two measly paninis. There was a single piece of salmon in mine, just to give us a tiny bit of flavor with each bite. Avoid at all costs!

01/05/2026: Almost 7 years ago we visited Parc Hôtel Obernai for the first time and loved it straight away. The food, the spa that had just opened back then, and the atmosphere made it a place we kept coming back to whenever we were in Alsace, even if just for dinner.
We stayed at the hotel again recently, and a lot has changed. I didn’t expect it to top our earlier visits, but it did.
The new building is gorgeous. I love the design - the lighting makes you look great even with messed up hair and a red face from the spa.
The restaurant was already strong, but is now even better. Local ingredients with Asian influences, dishes that feel balanced, and portions that are the right size. What really made the evening was the service. The team at the cocktail bar was sharp and friendly, and our waiter Enzo made the night. Easygoing, good sense of humor, and great advice on wine. After asking he (and the chef) were very enthusiastic about doing the shared dining concept. Food, drinks and service 10/10.
It’s a bit more expensive than what it was 7 years ago but worth every penny in my opinion.

02/09/2025: So, where to begin...
We ordered a burrito, a "salad," and nachos from Deliveroo.
- First, the salad: a complete joke, if not outright false advertising! I've attached a photo of the salad Fresh Burritos advertises on their website versus the salad I received 😉
It's a disgrace. The salad is supposed to be in a crispy wheat tortilla, but there was nothing of the sort. €10.50 for a measly little salad that I could have made myself.
- The burrito: once the packaging was removed, the sauce leaked everywhere, and the burrito was cold! We had to eat it on a plate, with cutlery (goodbye Mexico 👋).
- The nachos: €3.50 a bag with a measly 10 chips, and of course, the sauces were miraculously omitted 🤷
To top it all off, the restaurant is unreachable. Yet another franchise hiding behind a terrible customer service line.
