21/03/2026: Quite disappointed. I ordered and paid for a book on the website for someone to pick up. I specifically asked for it to be gift-wrapped and for them to include a small note inside for the recipient. I received an email saying they had received my request and would take care of it. The result? No note and no gift wrapping… quite disappointed. I was also informed that the book arrived damaged and that I could either receive a credit note or exchange it. I took the credit note: 0.75 cents, thanks a lot…

06/04/2026: I kinda hate gushing about places, however I really liked this place. Amongst all the mid places to eat in the old town area of Aix, this place really stood out. First off, the place has a feel. Old wood, generations of families type of feel. I just kinda leaned into it and let the server (proprietor?) guide me. Went with the "house specialties" of the barigoule d'artichaut and followed up with the Gigotin d'agneau and finished off with the lavender crème brulée. On the beverage side, I started off with a kir and let him guide me through the rest of the dinner with glasses of wine. All excellent.

29/03/2026: woah ! we had the artichoke starter then two mains - the sea bass fillet and lamb cooked for 30 hours on the bone.. flavourful and authentic. such a great rustic and home-y gem of a restaurant. highly recommended !!

02/04/2026: We went there for lunch, the three of us. We're French students in Aix-en-Provence and we're from Spain. The woman who greeted us was absolutely lovely. She was very attentive, taking into account the wind so we could be comfortably seated, and she was also very patient with us since we don't speak French very well yet. The food was excellent. I had a pear hot dog, which was absolutely delicious, and some fries to share. I highly recommend this place if you're in Aix-en-Provence.

18/04/2026: We went there for the first time to eat. The meal was good, but we sat on the terrace. We found it rather unclean: the seats were full of crumbs, the flower vases on the tables were dusty, and the parquet floor wasn't clean. It needs a bit more cleaning to make the place more pleasant. The first floor was much cleaner.

17/04/2026: Hello, thanks to a Wonderbox voucher given to us by our children, my wife and I had lunch today at "Le Novo". The ravioli and chocolate fondant were excellent. The service and welcome were top-notch. The owner kindly offered us complimentary aperitifs. Thank you for everything.

29/03/2026: Spent two nights here as part of a Viking tour. Was not impressed with the quality of the dinner meal but the breakfast was overwhelming The rooms are newly decorated quite contemporary and there are views of the surrounding streets. Takes some time to figure out the lighting and the major option is no lights on at bedtime. They had problems using my credit card that they blamed on the machine but the next morning the machine still would not accept my card that had been used during our entire trip. Luckily my wife had her card that worked.

28/03/2026: A beautifully renovated hotel right in the city center, close to public transport, and a caring and attentive staff. I had a very pleasant stay.
