29/11/2025: The most frustrating restaurant experience I’ve ever had. I booked this restaurant through TheFork, where a specific menu was clearly displayed. When we arrived, we were given a completely different menu — none of the listed dishes were available, and almost every option contained mushrooms. We don’t eat mushrooms, and the staff told us they could not remove a single ingredient from any dish. So we ordered the only two options left. That’s when things became unbelievable. The owner suddenly told us that we were “required” to order two dishes per person. When we asked where this rule was written, she said she decides when and to whom the rule applies, simply because “it’s her place”. When we calmly tried to explain our situation, she literally shushed us, putting her finger to her mouth and laughing at us in front of her entire staff. It was humiliating and completely unprofessional. Then she invented another rule on the spot: unless we ordered two dishes each, we would have to pay an extra £15 per person. This “fee” is not written anywhere, AND SHE AGREED THAT — not on the menu, not on the website, not on the booking confirmation. Moments later, she kicked us out of the restaurant in the most disrespectful way, in front of everyone. Not surprisingly, this was also the only empty restaurant in the entire Colmar. Avoid this place at all costs. Misleading, rude, unprofessional, and genuinely the worst dining experiences I’ve had in years.

29/11/2025: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! My partner and I booked this restaurant expecting to find an elegant atmosphere, respectful staff, and a level of hospitality befitting a Michelin-starred establishment. Unfortunately, the reality was completely the opposite. We were literally turned away, rudely and humiliatingly, simply for asking to order only one dish each from the à la carte menu. According to the restaurant's "internal rules"—which, of course, are nowhere to be found on their website or The Fork—you are required to order either an appetizer + first course or a first course + dessert. This rule was imposed and enforced arrogantly, with no intention of finding a solution. To make matters worse, the owner herself, instead of clarifying the situation professionally, decided to raise her voice and boast that "she makes the rules, whenever she wants." This was aggressive, disrespectful, and completely out of place, especially considering that the problem stemmed simply from the fact that, not finding any other dishes we liked, we wanted to order only two—a completely normal choice in a restaurant offering an a la carte menu. We had never been treated with such rudeness and arrogance, let alone kicked out of a restaurant, let alone a Michelin-starred one. We left feeling bitter, disappointed, and genuinely shocked.

25/12/2025: What a lovely, cozy restaurant! There were just the two of us and we hadn't made reservations. And yet they still managed to find us a spot. Perfectly arranged.

11/01/2026: We've stayed here several times and always enjoy coming back. We feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel is idyllically situated in Val d'Argent. It's an ideal starting point for excursions, hikes, and explorations, such as the Tellure silver mine and the Col des Bagenelles. The owners and staff are very hospitable and attentive. Regional products are used, and ecological principles are prioritized. The rooms are beautifully and comfortably furnished. Whether for one night or several, we immediately feel at ease and quickly unwind. A TV, hairdryer, and Wi-Fi are provided. The restaurant has a cozy, rustic charm. The food is wonderful and delicious. The cuisine is excellent, especially the regional dishes. We highly recommend the game dishes on the menu and the schnitzel cordon bleu with Munster cheese. The breakfast buffet is full of regional delicacies, with something for everyone. Parking and electric vehicle charging stations are available. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fine for us.

01/01/2026: This hotel and restaurant is simply exceptional. The welcome, the food, the hotel itself—everything is perfect and impeccable. We spent two peaceful days surrounded by magnificent scenery. I recommend it without hesitation.

The ambiance is refined without being ostentatious, and the team manages to be professional, warm, and attentive without ever being intrusive. Each dish was a true revelation: bold flavors, perfectly cooked, and intelligently delicate combinations. You can taste the authenticity of the ingredients, the precision of the execution, and a real personality in every dish. The service transformed our dinner into an exceptional experience: seamless, friendly, and proactive. We were never left wondering what to order before receiving what we expected, or even what we hadn't yet anticipated. I have rarely had such a complete experience, where taste, ambiance, and attentiveness converge so perfectly. Without hesitation, I highly recommend it and will return with great pleasure. A huge congratulations to the entire team—it truly was five stars.

30/11/2025: Pleasant surroundings, the decor is Alsatian-style, giving the impression of being at the Pulversheim open-air museum. The service was impeccable. The prices are quite high, as is typical of establishments aiming for a certain level of prestige. This rediscovery has finally reconciled us with the restaurant and its cuisine. Thank you to the entire team at Le Vieux Pressoir.

12/11/2025: Disappointed. The breadsticks were stale, the dishes tasteless, the snail and porcini mushroom tartlet (canned?), the overcooked poultry, and the duck tartare, while well-prepared, was accompanied by a multitude of incomprehensible accompaniments—an incomprehensible combination. The chef must not be on a Monday. This quality at this price is exorbitant.
