10/09/2026: Fantastic from start to finish. La Petit Ourse is essentially a two person operation but you wouldn't realize it based on how beautiful and intricate the food can be. Charlotte who runs the front of the house operation is exceptionally warm and accommodating. The restaurant features multiple daily options including vegetarian ones and the dishes themselves are as beautiful as they are delicious. A must visit in Rennes and, honestly, one of my favorite meals in France period.

10/09/2026: Exceptional food and service! They had extremely delicious vegetarian options. Everything was perfect. The husband-wife duo have created an extremely warm space. Do not miss when in Rennes. Reserve a table in advance.

09/09/2026: Dropped in unexpectedly with a friend one weekday evening. Beautiful bar and restaurant, everything is good (this is my second time here). Special mention for the cocktails 🍸 Bonus: handsome waiters 🤩

13/07/2026: The selection of draft beers is decent, priced at €6 a pint during happy hour. The burger was good, and the accompanying fries were excellent—a welcome change from Metro fries. My rating is due to the staff. I ordered a pint from the bar before me, which was standing near the till. I didn't see the owner put the beer down while the waitress was ringing me up. I asked if it was mine, and she replied aggressively, "Well, whose is it, anyway?" The waitress was completely blasé; you wonder what she was doing there. The bar is okay, but I don't think I'll be back because of the service.

08/06/2026: The food has gone downhill, which is a shame because it used to be a great place for a good meal and a drink. Otherwise, no complaints.

11/09/2026: I'm really disappointed and feel like I've been ripped off. I'm a student, so I asked for a student meal deal (which should have cost me less than €10), but they charged me €12 for the regular meal at the till without any explanation. They clearly take advantage of people's hesitation to inflate the bill without warning. And even the regular meal deal is extremely expensive for what it is (the cookie is tiny). For that price, you might as well go to McDonald's, and at a bakery, I literally pay half as much for a much better deal. In short, dishonest.

12/08/2026: A very beautiful show, "Along the Water's Edge." Very interesting, not too long (20 minutes).

02/08/2026: My favorite spot in Rennes. Great beer selection, very generous and excellent Irish brunch. Great atmosphere, dog-friendly, themed evenings, cheerful and loyal clientele, mostly English-speaking. Delicious Irish coffee, sports TV, Wi-Fi, newspapers, darts… terrace with a superb view of the Parliament of Brittany. Top-notch waiters and waitresses! I've been a regular for 23 years at this must-visit spot.

01/09/2026: Absolutely fantastic. Incredible flavors in creative dishes. Each of us (3) ordered a different dish and we all loved it. As for the staff... a delight. The welcome was very pleasant. Definitely worth discovering... and returning to.

05/08/2026: A very good restaurant, a great find. The staff are warm and welcoming, regularly checking if everything is alright. The dishes are high-quality and generous. They work with fresh produce and local artisans.

31/07/2026: A fantastic discovery! We booked this restaurant at the last minute, somewhat randomly, during our stopover in Rennes... and were very pleasantly surprised by the exquisite and flavorful dishes... from appetizer to dessert! I highly recommend it!

15/08/2026: Delicious local cuisine at a reasonable price, right in the heart of Rennes' old town. I'm not giving it top marks because, like most places in Rennes, it's not properly heated for summer. However much they may deny it, climate change, whether caused by humans or not, is here to stay, and summers are going to get hotter and hotter across Europe. They need to adapt their establishments to this new reality. And no, sitting outside in 35-degree heat isn't the best option either.
