15/08/2026: The Auberge de Clairefontaine in Saint-Hilaire-la-Gravelle is a magnificent place! The welcome is warm, generous, and very professional, all within a bucolic and beautifully decorated setting. As for the dishes the chef prepared for us, they were simply exquisite, with flavorful notes and harmonious combinations. We also enjoyed some excellent wines (an ideal Cheverny) to accompany this delicious dinner. In short, my wife and I had an unforgettable time thanks to Chef Jean-Jacques, who worked in some of the most prestigious establishments (the Élysée Palace, Chanel) before returning to his roots. A big thank you also to our hostess Bernadette for her joie de vivre and her secret homemade cocktails made with infused rum. I highly recommend it, go for it!

I chose a hot snack and started to head towards the register when I heard her ask, "Hot or cold?" "Oh, she's already left," she replied. "Well, no, Ms. Nathalie, I didn't leave as you say. I simply moved forward to allow your other, much more pleasant colleagues to do their jobs and keep the line of customers moving." When you want to make a comment, Ms. Nathalie, do it discreetly or not at all. You give a bad impression, and besides, you seem delighted to be working. It's frightening.

25/09/2026: Visited twice during our trip to Blois, first for drinks and then for drinks and food. Great variety of beer, food was very good, the best steak we’ve had on our trip. Service was great, the staff are constantly on the move making sure everyone is well looked after. A must visit for beer lovers.

We had chosen this establishment because we had eaten lunch there every week as we had many administrative tasks to attend to. Everything we had eaten was delicious, and the staff was very friendly. It was a pleasant surprise to have this gathering after the ceremony. The owner and staff were so responsive that our guests must have thought it had been planned well in advance, when in fact it was simply made possible by the team's professionalism. Tables were quickly set up, and the aperitif and meal were served smoothly at a comfortable pace. Their kindness was exemplary. Thank you to everyone who made it possible for the ceremony to conclude with a shared meal, just as our father would have wished. Thank you for your exceptional adaptability.
