04/02/2026: What a delightful surprise to have Italy come to the Basque Country! The small shop selling fresh Italian products tempts our taste buds before we even sit down to eat. The lunch menu—starter, main course, dessert—is entirely made on-site with fresh ingredients and a little gem. You can go there without hesitation, although it's best to keep your eyes open to easily find your table.

27/02/2026: Hiking from Bidart to St Jean-de-Luz, I was so happy to find this bar open on February 26th, under summer-like weather! A very warm welcome, a fantastic location with a breathtaking sea view, and excellent food (special mention for the red berry panna cotta). I promised to leave a (good) review... and here it is!

22/02/2026: A disappointing experience from start to finish. There were two of us, and we arrived at 1:10 PM. We were told there would be a 20-minute wait; after 40 minutes, I had to remind them we were still there. We were finally seated. Another 25 minutes passed before anyone took our order. The appetizer arrived quickly, but then… more than 40 minutes of waiting without ever seeing the main course. We decided to leave and made our dissatisfaction known while paying for our appetizers and drinks. No apology, no consideration whatsoever, and to top it all off, a member of staff called me an “idiot.” I understand they were busy… but still! Lack of organization, a complete absence of professionalism, and unacceptable behavior from some staff members. Truly disappointed!

24/01/2026: A quick stop at Julien's place on the road to Cauterets. Everyone is helpful and very friendly. We had a great meal, traditional dishes of high quality and very generous portions. Good value for money. Simple and delicious.

27/01/2026: It was simply excellent! The service was super friendly and welcoming, and the setting and atmosphere were great too. And a huge plus for the food; it's rare to find such well-prepared vegetarian dishes made with simple, seasonal ingredients. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back!
