13/01/2026: Disappointing and far from authentic Having spent a lot of time in Spanish tapas bars in Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg and Germany, my visit to Tapas Café Strasbourg was a real let-down. The sangria tasted industrial, closer to boxed wine than something freshly prepared. As for the chipirones, they did not taste fresh at all — the texture and flavor strongly suggested canned or pre-packed seafood, not something cooked à la minute. This is simply unacceptable for a place presenting itself as a tapas bar. Overall, the food lacked freshness, authenticity and craftsmanship. What you get feels generic and mass-produced rather than rooted in Spanish culinary tradition. Service was fine, but that alone cannot compensate for the weak quality of the food. Atmosphere may work for a quick drink, but if you’re looking for real tapas, this isn’t it.

16/12/2025: A small, unassuming restaurant that's a real treat inside. The friendly, smiling waitress runs the show, and the chef prepares delicious daily specials. A perfect spot for weekday lunches. A starter and main course for €13.50 – highly recommended!

05/06/2026: The saleswoman made a snide remark because I couldn't find the words to answer the question I wanted to ask her. I'm on medication because I had an operation. She's always unpleasant, but this was the last straw. Otherwise, the rest of the staff and the owner were always pleasant.

21/05/2026: Avoid at all costs!!!!! Not friendly at all, and the waitress was very unpleasant. They sell day-old products 👎

03/07/2025: A terrace that's a victim of its own success and its location in the heart of the tourist city. Always full (a testament to its quality), you don't have to wait long for a table to become available. The drinks menu is varied, and the appetizer platter is just right in terms of quantity but superior in terms of quality. A great place to stop for a break during your city tour.

20/06/2025: Beautifully situated in the shade under the trees. The tarte flambée is delicious and reasonably priced.

10/08/2026: Refused entry despite pre-booked and paid admission. Requested to be accompanied, as apparently indicated on the ticket, and assured me the ticket was refundable. You can probably guess that it isn't, and that nowhere is it stated you need to be accompanied. Try showing up completely wasted; maybe that'll work.

08/08/2026: Excellent evening at La Salamandre! Great experience at La Salamandre in Strasbourg! The atmosphere was fantastic, the music was great, and the setting was very well done. The staff is welcoming, and the team ensures a great atmosphere. It's definitely a great place to spend a wonderful evening and have fun with friends. I highly recommend it and I'll be back!

14/07/2026: The service was terrible. I was there on Saturday, July 11, 2026. The waitress was slow. I ordered a soya beignets appetizer and an eru cassava couscous. The appetizer arrived 40 minutes after I asked when it would be ready. For five minutes, I noticed the beignets hadn't arrived. I asked the waitress, "Where are my beignets?" She replied, "Oh, there aren't any beignets. The cook said there aren't any beignets." The service was awful. Sometimes I can go months without going, but since I don't live in Strasbourg, it's always the same. You'll never see me in your restaurant again. On top of that, the person next to me left because they'd been waiting for beignets for an hour. The worst part is, they take orders knowing they don't have certain items. I gave you one star. because we can't publish without giving at least one star 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

11/07/2026: This is the third time I've ordered and for the third time I'm disappointed because I received a small fish and not enough garnish. Try to improve this aspect; even if the fish is small, at least focus on the side dish.

01/08/2026: visited this restaurant and left feeling unwelcome and disappointed. The staff never explained that I could take what I needed from the buffet, and portions were given piece by piece, very ungenerously. When I returned to ask for a tiny extra portion, they charged me — even though my plate was almost empty . At that moment, the server suddenly switched to English just to tell me “all you can eat is only one time,” which felt rude and completely against basic hospitality. I felt ripped off and not respected as a customer. Also, the restroom was in terrible condition. Definitely not a place I would return. I didnot had any feeling it is all you can eat at all with no explanation and trying to extra charge you as if it is a target. Advice: This place urgently needs more professional and welcoming staff who are willing to explain things clearly and treat customers with respect. Value people over a few extra euros — hospitality should come first.

29/07/2026: Disgusting! I demand a refund of just €2 for a takeaway order. There was hair in the chicken, the fried food was disgusting, and I want to call a health inspector. The meat was supposedly halal, but the waitress couldn't even prove it. The brazen woman became aggressive and called security, who were actually on my side. I'll never go back there. It's a catastrophic, shitty restaurant, with all due respect. And if there's a problem, call the manager instead of security. And I'm not making threats.

02/08/2026: We stumbled upon a group of almost 30 people (2 hen parties + 1 stag party) whom we'd met on the street a few minutes earlier. The welcome was warm, and the atmosphere was fantastic! We had a wonderful evening (especially thanks to our new friends). In fact, we're looking for the "spoiler" from the stag party! 🤪

12/07/2026: Last night, I arrived alone. I approached respectfully and waited. They were letting in their male acquaintances who were alone. If it's forbidden to let men into a place like this, how can they let their acquaintances in? Furthermore, I saw an employee refuse entry to two people, then suggest they buy something—I think it was expensive—in order to get in. Add to that the chaos outside the door; several people were talking amongst themselves, which was completely unacceptable. Finally, I heard one of them speaking my language. I answered him in our language, even though I speak French well, but he turned on me, claiming he was only wearing a hat. I would like to remind you that you are just a security guard who works eight hours a day to earn a living. It's absurd to lose the respect of customers for a precarious job. This is the worst place I have ever seen. My advice to the owner: rethink your establishment, because with employees like these, you're going to lose a lot of customers. They're just laborers with no experience in human interaction.

17/06/2026: This restaurant is absolutely disgusting. I went Monday night, and for the price you pay, it's truly awful. The drinks aren't unlimited anymore, which is ridiculous. Their wine is terrible, like the cheap stuff you get for €2. The food is also poor quality. It deserves zero stars.

16/05/2026: I'm here and it's a disaster. The restaurant staff are always unpleasant and the food is awful: not a single hot dish is offered. The prices are exorbitant, especially on weekends. I strongly advise against going there. There's no choice of food or meat, only skins.

10/07/2026: Warning: terrible food! Don't be fooled by the ambiance and location! We had spaghetti Bolognese and tarte flambée. The Bolognese was sour and the tarte flambée was like cardboard!

15/07/2026: Disappointed by the dishonesty, and in a hurry, we ordered two salads. The ingredient list was inaccurate for the Strasbourg salad; 500g of Gruyère cheese was hidden under the cabbage, which we are allergic to! No discussion was possible. Avoid at all costs!

06/07/2026: I came on Saturday at noon. The place really leaves much to be desired. Even the menu! It's greasy to the touch! You need to check your dishes. Apparently, it's limescale, according to the waiter. But grease??? 🤔 The waiter wasn't happy when we asked for another glass! And the restrooms, don't even get me started.
