11/07/2026: A Marseille institution Of course, we went there for their famous bouillabaisse. The terrace is literally on the Old Port. It was a wonderful experience to discover this Marseille specialty in a culinary institution of the city. The service was efficient and courteous. We were even given explanations on how to eat it.

28/07/2026: The Regards de Provence Museum is housed in the former Maritime Health Station, built in 1948 by architects Fernand Pouillon, André Champollion, and René Egger. At that time, Marseille was one of the largest ports in the Mediterranean. Travelers and immigrants arriving by ship were examined there to prevent the introduction of contagious diseases such as cholera or plague. The station thus served as a veritable health gateway to the city. With advances in medicine and the development of transportation, this function gradually disappeared. The building was abandoned for several years before the Regards de Provence Foundation, created in 1997 by collectors and patrons Pierre and Michèle Dumon under the aegis of the Fondation de France, decided to give it a new lease on life. Its ambition was to create a museum dedicated to artists who had depicted Marseille, Provence, and the Mediterranean. A major restoration project was then undertaken as part of Marseille-Provence 2013, European Capital of Culture. While preserving the iconic architecture of the former health resort, the building has been transformed into a modern 2,300 m² museum, comprising several exhibition halls, a bookstore, a panoramic restaurant, and a space retracing the history of the old resort. The museum officially opened on March 1, 2013. I only saw temporary exhibitions… I didn't find the permanent exhibition… the staff's welcome was very poor.

17/07/2026: A small museum in Marseille that I didn't know about. No wait at all; there were only five of us there at the time (July 14th). The museum's history is quite unique. One of the employees told us all about it. The current temporary exhibition on Dubout was excellent, and several satirical drawings made us laugh. The exhibition by the artist Gilles Barbier is also worth seeing! In short, a great find right next to the Mucem and the Cosquer Museum 👍🏼 I'll definitely be back on my next trip to Marseille 🩵

08/06/2026: Set menu. Starter: fish broth with absolutely no substance. Octopus carpaccio (10 grams max) was extremely salty, a slice of pork (no more than one) was overcooked, dessert (the pastry had an industrial texture)... natural wine €75, not even a carafe! No indication of grape variety or winery (the producer is unknown...). Second wine: Mont Louis Droit, decent, €72, I bought it for €11.50. Total: €95 per person. Please avoid this kind of restaurant for pheasants. On the other hand, the service was very pleasant.

26/07/2026: On the occasion of our wedding, July 25, 2026, we had lunch with our friends and witnesses, and it was unforgettable. As the weather was unpredictable (rain, hail, and intermittent sunshine), we were seated in the center of the restaurant's main dining room at a round table, creating a more convivial atmosphere. The refined cuisine was a delight. The service was flawless, with excellent recommendations for champagne and then wine. Sacha, our waiter, was wonderful—smiling, attentive, and discreet. We highly recommend this magnificent establishment for its location opposite Notre Dame de la Garde, its decor, its hospitality, and its cuisine. Thank you to the entire team at the Intercontinental.

17/05/2026: Great spot for a bite to eat and a drink 👊 The decor is nice, Ricard is prominently featured, there's a yellow room, a green room where the kitchen is, and a large, beautiful terrace, so there's plenty to do. It's in the Docks Village, next to the Terrasses du Port shopping center, which is also fantastic. The platters are beautifully presented, the tomato and burrata is amazing, and on Saturday nights it has a lively, open-air atmosphere, which is really fun and a nice change from traditional restaurants. The staff is fantastic, friendly, and offers great advice on drinks and other services. In short, I highly recommend it for a relaxing and enjoyable time in Marseille.

13/07/2026: A truly unpleasant experience. We ordered an oat milk latte, which was served to us with literally burnt milk, to the point of being undrinkable. So we simply asked for it to be remade. This request was clearly not well received: instead of remaking the drink, they brought us the exact same latte after simply letting it cool down, explaining that "the machine was like that." Beyond the fact that overheated oat milk completely loses its taste and texture, it's the reaction to a perfectly normal request that is truly astounding. Charging that much for a coffee and then implicitly refusing to remake it when it's a failure, preferring to wait for it to cool down before serving it again, is a rather peculiar concept of customer service. It's a shame, because a simple "sorry, we'll make it again" would have sufficed. Instead, we left with the feeling that we had been a nuisance simply for pointing out a problem.

13/07/2026: Utterly disappointing. Not just any coffee shop can be. The customer service was unpleasant, making us feel like we were bothering them. Our comments were taken condescendingly, with absolutely no understanding. Burnt milk, a ruined afternoon tea experience. It's enough to make you want to throw up.

12/06/2026: The pizzas are excellent, the dough is simply divine. All of this is served with great kindness. And the view of Notre-Dame de la Garde is a nice bonus.

12/06/2026: For my first time, it was fantastic. The pizza was amazing. Even though it's a bit pricey, it's worth the trip. And yet, back home in Nancy, there are some good ones too.

01/08/2026: A fantastic evening to celebrate our arrival in Marseille! We enjoyed a delicious meal and wonderful cocktails! (Caipirinhas and daiquiris) The location is perfect, right on the port, in the heart of the action yet with plenty of space. The staff is lovely and attentive, a special shout-out to Mimi for her cheerful disposition!

23/05/2026: Sadly! And unbelievably… especially for these beautiful warm days they do not serve Aperol or Hugo spritz! I’ve never been after many years in France ever been to a nicer restaurant that simply chooses not to offer Aperol! Bummer! Crazy part?! Beware the Mojito is €20 and entirely not worth it … so Definitely out to get tourists! No joke I had to come back to edit that they ran out of their fixed menu chicken choice and the only alternative was lamb. Psyche🙄

20/07/2026: Unfortunately, to give my opinion, I have to give one star, but if it were up to me, I'd give none. I asked the young women for advice on a smoothie and specifically asked if their smoothies were made with real fruit. They told me that part of it had fruit and the rest had a fruit puree. However, it was Monin syrup, so it was incredibly sweet. The young woman who served me wasn't pleasant at all when I asked her this question. It wasn't even fresh and, on top of that, it made me sick. This kiosk is definitely one to avoid, not to mention the price: €6.90 for what is essentially water and syrup.
