25/08/2024: We came here for lunch having checked it out on TripAdvisor where it achieved high rankings. The only downside in my view was that it lacked atmosphere, but I’m sure that was only because it was around 12:30 for lunch, and it seemed to be quiet in Angoulême in mid-August. In any event, we greatly enjoyed our meal. My wife had a delicious burger, while I had an excellent steak tartare, all washed down with an excellent local white wine. Very attentive service by our friendly waiter.

24/08/2024: Cave à manger avec une proposition de bière bienvenue ;) et des plats tout aussi adaptés pour la famille entière. Un accueil et un service chaleureux qui nous a régalé tout autant que la justesse des plats (cuisson, sauce maison) dans un endroit tamisé. Beau travail et belle continuation à toute l’équipe. 09/12/2024: WOW!! If you ever go to Angouleme, France (and you should)… This really is a great place to stay and a few minutes walk to the city center. Mike and family are such welcoming hosts, so incredibly kind and great to speak to as he speaks really good English if you’re like me and haven’t learned enough French to be proficient 😆. Amazing atmosphere, service and the room is extremely clean and well kept. I was brought breakfast to my room without asking, it was offered, freshly baked croissants with jams, bread, yogurt, Cafe Latte etc (proper French breakfast). I stayed in room 10 with an amazing balcony view overlooking Angouleme. I feel at home when I am thousands of miles away from home. I just can’t say enough to express my gratitude for this stay, I would pay double what I paid to stay here hands down! Merci beaucoup!!!!!

03/09/2024: I don't judge the employees but maybe it's Best kebab recooked on the plancha, quantity per serving it's excessive 11 euros the menu for a very small handful of fries and kebab in grams, frankly best kebab in France no, the votes on kebab fries are not reliable

29/08/2024: Commande de menu galette, servi avec des bout dur dans la viande et frite matière plastique ça dégoûte vraiment faut pas abuser, je prenait beaucoup cher vous et ben je reviendrais plus. A fuir !

23/09/2024: Dirty nicely decorated, one part fake brick, another with various Japanese illustrations, even the furniture is in the theme. Warm welcome from the waitress that I had until cashout. I had sweet potato fries, chicken yakitori, donburi katsucurry breaded pork, and 2 scoops of ginger ice cream. In total I got it for around €29. Everything was very good and well presented. A good address 👍

15/09/2024: If you pass by there to eat a good dish, don't stop. Nothing exceptional, the dishes are super fatty, the chicken noodles taste like shrimp, the Wasabi had no taste, expired?, in short very disappointed

01/09/2024: What can I say apart from the presence of cockroaches which, according to the reviews, have been there for many weeks. We stopped for an aperitif (9 euros for a 25cl beer and a glass of white wine, but let’s move on…). None of the employees seem shocked by the presence of pests, it must be recurring. This is the first time I've seen this. The icing on the cake with I guess the manager telling us that we shouldn't have paid. It’s a little late when the customers are already outside sir… in short, flee!

17/12/2024: A very pleasant, family restaurant Excellent traditional cuisine, a gifted chef, Cyndie waitress always smiling Sonia and her brilliant accent always smiling too, Pierrot behind the bar efficient, responsive and very professional I highly recommend to have a great time
