24/07/2026: Le Roy Théodore is a family-run establishment where the welcome is as warm as Corsican hospitality. Not to mention the cuisine, which is of exceptional quality. The owners are incredibly kind and attentive. A wonderful experience to be had in Sartène.

22/07/2026: A fantastic experience from the moment we arrived until the complimentary drink. We had two Corsican menus and two express menus, and all the dishes were truly delicious and generously served. Honestly, it was a real treat!

07/09/2026: We stumbled upon this place quite by chance, having discovered it in the Rough Guide during our visit to Sartène, and what a delightful surprise it was! We received a very warm welcome from André and Mimi, the owners, who are incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The setting is superb, with a lovely shaded terrace next to the watchtower, perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal. As for the food, everything is homemade, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! André and Mimi even recommended a place to buy delicious local jams, which we promptly visited after leaving the restaurant. A truly wonderful discovery, both for the food and the warm welcome and the beautiful setting. If you're ever in Sartène, I highly recommend stopping by! Thank you again to André and Mimi for this wonderful experience.

29/08/2026: Unfortunately, a classic tourist trap. We stopped here for a quick break and a drink during our visit to Sartène. I asked the waiter for a menu twice, and he dryly replied, "We have all the classics," without making any attempt to bring one. In the end, we simply ordered an espresso and an orange juice, since we didn't know what else was considered a "classic." The espresso arrived unceremoniously, without a coffee spoon, sugar, or anything else. Just a sad little cup with a rather poor-quality espresso. The orange juice was bitter, tasteless, and consisted of more ice cubes than juice. The highlight was the same waiter's expectant look when we paid, as he seemed to be hoping for a tip. Thanks to the orange juice (which, by the way, cost a whopping €5), I spent the rest of the evening on the toilet. I can only advise you to steer clear of this place. Better to just drink the water you brought with you, for the sake of your stomach.

27/08/2026: A truly wonderful moment of sharing! Taking the time to stop and chat with the manager was the highlight of our stay in Sartène. The wines and liqueurs are excellent, so stop by and take the time to discuss them and create a unique and lasting memory!

02/09/2026: TOURIST TRAP... After a pleasant little visit to Sartène, we ate at the "Café des Amis" restaurant. We chose the "meal salad" for just over €22. It was practically just a starter... So if you're even slightly hungry, go somewhere else. One positive point: the waiter (40-50 years old) who served our table was friendly and attentive.

24/05/2026: An authentic Corsican establishment. A fantastic welcome. An amazing restaurant. A very local sheepfold with a lovely little private pool (thank you for setting the heat pump to 30 degrees for us 😉). We'll be back.

20/05/2026: This is a review about the restaurant. Avoid. If you don't like the food, don't say a word, pay and leave right away! The owner started insulting me during checkout for saying the food was bland. He did ask how I liked it, but he probably knew already because I had told the waitress earlier, who was nice about it. He called me cheap for not ordering water (I ordered a beer), postured inches in front of me like he was going to punch me in the face, and waited for me in the parking lot for more insults. Anyway, food is not very flavorful and slightly lower prices than Sartene (which has bigger portions) if you're headed in that direction. Haute-ville in Bonifacio is very good, lots of homemade dishes but more expensive. This restaurant charges 3 euros for filtered water (restaurants must provide water for free by law if you order food, which every restaurant we went to does). Insults and intimidations are free. Totally unhinged. Don't stop there.

21/09/2026: The restaurant has a very pleasant setting; however, the servers weren't particularly attentive, and the food, while good, was nothing special. I ordered the tuna steak, which was slightly overcooked and therefore a bit dry. My partner's Corsican burger was also a bit dry, lacking sauce, and served with frozen fries—a shame.

10/09/2026: The restaurant is nice, the setting is very pleasant with its shaded terrace… The food is good, plentiful, and tasty… the service is not very coordinated, the wait is very long, which is a shame because there are 3 servers, but only 1 is organized… I know it's not easy to find competent staff… We will come back and we still recommend it

01/09/2026: A campsite in the heart of a family estate, surrounded by scrubland. A simple, undeveloped site with around twenty very quiet pitches. Charming and clean sanitary facilities. A very friendly and helpful welcome. The highlight is the magnificent infinity pool with mountain views in a beautiful, well-maintained, and verdant setting.
