07/08/2026: We spent just one night in this small hotel during our recent motorcycle road trip through the Auvergne region. The word "Welcome" deserves a capital W for this establishment; the owner's smile and friendliness are genuine and warm. The rooms are simple but perfectly adequate, and the food is very good, with excellent dishes served! We highly recommend this establishment; it's well worth a stop!

01/08/2026: It's always a pleasure, which I would describe as intense, to dine at Restaurant des Sources! I've even come to eat alone once! 😀 Be warned, you need to book at least 7, sometimes even 10 or 15 days in advance to have any hope of getting a table! Especially during peak season like now. That just goes to show how popular the restaurant is! After the chef's amuse-bouches, you have a choice of classic starters: the sweetbreads, absolutely divine! The homemade foie gras, always excellent! And two other starters that may change depending on the season and the chef's inspiration, but I'm never disappointed—always with combinations and seasonings that delight your taste buds! And if you don't want a main course, you can choose a dessert, which is always perfectly executed, or skip the starter and opt for a main course and dessert... in short, nothing is imposed on you! And the chef and the service are far superior to a certain Hôtel de France in the region! No, I don't get a special rate at the Sources restaurant to make that claim! Anyway, I'm going back at the beginning of August with my son 😀🥰!

12/06/2026: An excellent restaurant! I love restaurants, they're my thing, but truly the best cut of beef I've ever eaten (mature beef). The sweetbreads were excellent. I've been to Michelin-starred restaurants... this one has two stars, plus the sorbets are 98% fruit, made by a master ice cream maker—pure bliss! The chef is passionate, with love and respect. The waitress was extraordinary, a truly wonderful welcome. I will definitely be back with friends. It's an hour and a half drive, no problem. A delight made with the finest ingredients... 18/05/2026: We had an absolutely remarkable 3-night half-board stay at this establishment. The welcome was very warm and friendly; the owner, Mr. Nougier, truly went out of his way to ensure our satisfaction (car and bicycle parking, escorting us to our room, etc.). The rooms are very spacious, simply but tastefully furnished, and impeccably clean and in excellent condition. We even thought the bathroom was brand new, but it wasn't! The half-board option proved to be a culinary experience in its own right. Each dinner was a delight for the taste buds: refined, varied, and creative gourmet cuisine, showcasing high-quality local produce with elegant presentation. Special mention also goes to the waiter in the restaurant, who was professional, attentive, humorous, and incredibly kind. The prices aren't "budget-friendly," but the value for money is undeniable, and the prices are perfectly justified. A huge thank you to the entire team for their warm welcome and their discreet yet ever-present professionalism. We will definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend this place! Fursac is also an excellent starting point for cycling trips; it's best to have an e-bike (or very strong legs) as the region is quite hilly. The hotel staff also gave us great advice on places to see...

19/08/2026: Absolutely fantastic! Great value for money, the waitress was very energetic and incredibly friendly! The little bowl of water for our dog was a lovely touch! We'll definitely be back for the warm welcome and the delicious food!!

03/02/2026: A very good restaurant with a lovely terrace. Mâcon, delicious calf's head, Loire red wine, very successful sweetbreads with porcini mushrooms, and a very good vanilla soufflé with chocolate pastilles.

28/12/2025: Excellent restaurant. Refined setting. They offer a set menu for €65 and another for €45. À la carte dishes are also available. The wine list is classic. The portions are generous and beautifully presented. The flavors and seasonings are just right. The service is professional and attentive. We were served a little too quickly for my liking. The "mid-course drink" offered after the starter would have been better served after the main course. It's a wonderful restaurant that I highly recommend. However, I suggest calling ahead as it seems the restaurant might be closing. Happy retirement to the owner...

20/07/2026: The staff and the food are excellent: kindness, smiles, warm welcome, tasty food, ... However, the dining room is very noisy and often poorly maintained: rubbish on the floor.

21/08/2026: We were seated, 25 minutes later, and our orders hadn't been taken, not even drinks. We went to eat elsewhere.

19/08/2026: Dinner for two on the terrace. The food was good and reasonably priced. Large terrace. Unfortunately, as is often the case during busy periods, the disorganized service was a serious drawback. Patience was required to order and even to get dessert... Otherwise, a place worth a visit.

23/07/2026: Incredible place, definitely worth the detour for the quality of its cuisine, the friendliness, and the expertise! Moreover, it's in a magnificent location, with a terrace overlooking the Creuse River and the lake of Bourg d'Hem. An experience not to be missed, especially considering the incredible price for the quality. Thank you again to the couple who go to such lengths to please their guests!
