24/06/2026: We were on vacation in Vence from Japan and this is the best restaurant in Vence. You can enjoy wonderful food in a wonderful atmosphere. We ordered the 5-course meal, and the fresh vegetables, fish, and meat were all fresh ingredients, and the cooking was elaborate. The restaurant's signature butter is also a highlight.

29/06/2026: We were starving looking for an open place for breakfast- many places don’t open until noon. We were lucky enough to stumble on the Square Cafe - absolutely delicious omelettes with salade, and desserts! The host is friendly and engaging, and all in all a great atmosphere and experience. We’ll be back!

24/07/2026: We have been in France for a couple of weeks and have eaten at some absolutely brilliant restaurants, this restaurant was recommended by our host. The restaurant has a fabulous location, but the food just wasn't up to standard, 3 of our party had filler steak but we struggled to cut it with the steak knives, the restaurant staff didn't really make us feel at home we felt like we were a burden to them. Maybe this was just an off night, but wouldn't recommend.

Fresh ingredients. The owner and waitress were pleasant. Warm welcome. We chatted with some locals at the next table who were very friendly. Thank you, Vence, we loved this beautiful village. We will be back. And in the meantime, I highly recommend this top-notch restaurant.

05/05/2026: If you're looking for delicious meat, look no further, this is the place. Special mention goes to the veal chop, which was absolutely amazing, and the homemade profiteroles (though without ice cream, a real treat). This rustic inn is run by a lovely family; I highly recommend it.

04/07/2026: Felt very welcome and taken care of from the minute we arrived. Service was quick, attentive and they spoke great english to us. Food was excellent, 10/10. The menu is seasonal and local. Straight forward, classical and high quality bistro cusine. If ever we come back to Vence we will mos def come back! A bien tot!

08/07/2026: A very pleasant and cozy restaurant in Vence, hidden away in the old town. Its courtyard is simply magical, the perfect place to spend a quiet and beautiful evening. The service is excellent, the presentation is stunning, and the flavors are delicate and refined. We absolutely loved it and will definitely come back again! I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Come and experience authentic French cuisine.

26/04/2026: We came to celebrate our first anniversary and enjoyed the Sunday brunch.
A lovely welcome, full of humor and joy.
A very high-quality buffet with a wide variety of both savory and sweet options. (The only slight drawback... the pancakes, but that's really nitpicking because compared to the gravlax salmon, eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs, and everything else!!!)
In short, an excellent time. Thank you for everything.

What's going on at the restaurant? My little girl and I are regulars, but twice in the last few weeks we've been turned away to find the restaurant closed, even though Facebook said it was "open".
13/06/2026: I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious gnocchi! 🤩😋 The restaurant is super pleasant in the evening, and the terrace is fantastic. I highly recommend Restaurant des Baous! ✨✨✨✨✨

Excellent value for money.
26/05/2026: It was packed by the locals, so this place caught my curiosity. The service is rather slow because they were really busy, so I recommend going there before its peak lunch time. Around 1:30PM, it was starting to slow down. I had shrimp avocado salad with fries, and they were good. Not pretentious and affordable- I recommend it!

The establishment is warm and inviting, and the atmosphere is simply ideal for relaxing and fully enjoying your stay. Special mention goes to the restaurant: a true delight from start to finish! Bravo to the chef for his delicious, refined, and flavorful cuisine. Every meal was a pleasure.
The breakfast also deserves special mention: generous, varied, and of high quality, with fresh products and a real attention to detail.
Thank you again for your availability, your thoughtfulness, and your good humor. We leave with wonderful memories and only one desire: to return as soon as possible!
