A pleasant break in a typical Champagne setting... Clean, quiet rooms... An oasis of relaxation surrounded by fields... As for the restaurant... Perfectly mastered local cuisine in a rustic, old-fashioned setting... A true Proust madeleine... A waiter, Clément, is as kind as can be and tries to satisfy his guests as best he can... A wonderful discovery... To be repeated...
05/07/2025: Dear readers and parents, this short message is to let you know that if you wish to place your children as interns at the HOTEL RESTAURANT "LA MANGEOIRE," you will not be disappointed.
This is ironic. Our intern son received a very warm welcome from the staff. Congratulations again to them. The same cannot be said for management. The boss is unpleasant. During breaks, the interns are called back to clean, and what's more, the established schedule is ridiculous, since they try to make them work seven days non-stop without a break. When this lack of professional diligence is highlighted, management uses harsh language toward the parents protecting their tired child. It's said, "He's packing his things and getting out." Fortunately, the alert given to the human rights authorities cut his internship short. We cannot take advantage of the credulity of these young people starting out in professional life. Hoping that this doesn't happen again and that the management of this establishment will grow from it. It's not a given when you see all the negative reviews directed not at the service but at the management.

09/08/2024: Température des aliments dans les vitrines absolument pas respectée. Les entrées et desserts étaient loin d'être au 4 degrés minimum obligatoire. Œuf mayonnaise chaud, pâté en croûte chaud, desserts à base de crème chaud. C'est inadmissible.

14/07/2024: Nous y sommes allés tous les deux hier soir le 13/07, nous avons passé un excellent moment. Emplacement idéal proche centre.
La cuisine est raffinée et très copieuse, les saveurs sont de la partie. Les ris de veau sont à tomber !
En ce qui concerne l’accueil : on se croirait « à la maison ». Accueil chaleureux et bienveillant.
Le chef vient nous saluer au niveau du dessert et rien que pour ça : c’est la classe.
Franchement c’est un sans faute. C’était la première fois, mais soyez assurés que ça ne sera pas la dernière !

02/09/2024: First visit to this establishment yesterday for a family meal and a great discovery for the 7 guests. The whole table ate the rock menu and everyone enjoyed the moment.
Well thought-out dishes with fresh, seasonal products, perfect seasonings, respected and controlled cooking.
Special mention for cooking perfectly pearly fish.
Value for money on the podium of Trojan establishments.
Congratulations also for the room team, friendly exchanges in good humor and this is becoming rare.
So if you come to Troyes, don't hesitate to stray slightly from the heart of the city to visit the rock.
Thanks to the chef for our exchange at the end of the meal, we feel the passion for cooking in local circuits, working with fresh and seasonal products.
We will come back to discover new dishes

21/08/2024: Very nice restaurant and very beautiful typical setting. The cuisine is excellent, the dishes are as good as they are plentiful.
the only downside, the service was a little long, but apparently this is proof that everything is fresh and cooked to order.
Plus, the restaurant was full, so that's understandable.
I highly recommend.

The tarte tatin is not a tarte tatin, not even a little.

Very nice experience. We were well received, the menu offered many local products. You can come with children, couples and even with your dog.

02/09/2024: Zeer lekker gegeten,heel verzorgd, wijnkaart aan zeer schappelijke prijzen, bediend door een vriendelijke jongeman die hard zijn best deed maar er zo goed als alleen voor stond chapeau ! Een aanrader nog een restaurant met stoffen tafellakens !
26/08/2024: While passing through Troyes, we went for lunch in this restaurant, recommended by the Gault et Millau guide. We do not regret our choice: excellent refined cuisine, impeccable service despite the youth of the servers. Even though the terrace is very small (but we are in the city center) we enjoyed eating outside. We highly recommend this restaurant.

19/12/2023: Nous avons dormi dans cet hôtel. Très bien reçu par une jeune femme du personnel.
Ensuite la chambre était propre, en excellent état et pourvue d'une literie très confortable. J'ai pu enfin bien dormir car le noir était complet dans la chambre et c'est bien insonorisé, en tout cas il n'y avait aucun bruit et le lit est de bonne qualité.
Très bon petit déjeuner dans le restaurant au cadre très agréable
