05/03/2026: We were lucky enough to celebrate Valentine's Day at this establishment in Chaource, and it was a truly wonderful experience. A huge thank you to the Enfer family, especially Christelle Enfer and Inesia, for their incredibly warm welcome and kindness. The Valentine's Day dinner was bistro-style and absolutely delicious, with beautifully presented dishes bursting with flavor. The room was very comfortable, with a magnificent view. The terrace in the morning is incredible, and the breakfast was perfect for starting the day off right. We left delighted and sincerely thank this establishment for such a wonderful time.

26/02/2026: Absolutely shameful. For a €37 menu, they promise you a dream that isn't reality. The butternut squash starter was bland. Then you order a rare duck breast, one time it's overcooked, another time it's the same and cold inside. I made the mistake of mentioning the frozen meat, and the owner came over with a stern look, without apologizing, and even dared to yell at me. The worst part was, for my friend's dessert, they brought him a hazelnut saffron parfait that smelled like water. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 Avoid this restaurant. Last year everything was perfect.

19/02/2026: We had the pleasure of discovering Hostellerie La Chaumière in Arsonval, and it was a truly wonderful experience. Everything was absolutely perfect: impeccable hygiene, spotless cleanliness, attentive and warm service, and a beautiful, peaceful setting. The owners are delightful and contribute greatly to this welcoming atmosphere. We also absolutely loved the Bamboche restaurant: the meal was delicious, and overall, every dish was a pure delight. Living in the area, this is definitely going to become one of our go-to restaurants. We will return with great pleasure and very often. A restaurant we recommend without hesitation.

09/02/2026: A one-night stay with a room + dinner + breakfast package was excellent. The hotel, restaurant, and room were very clean. The owner was welcoming, the home-cooked meals were just the way we like them, and the chocolate mousse was delicious.

31/10/2025: We've been to this restaurant several times. We've tried the takeaway burgers offered on Thursday evenings, as well as the lunch menus served on-site on Saturdays. Each time, we haven't been disappointed. The burgers are delicious, made with high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. The same goes for the dishes offered on other days. I particularly appreciated the presentation of the plates and the originality of the recipes. The chef is attentive, as is the waitress. We'll definitely be back!

18/12/2025: The welcome and service were quite mediocre, and apart from the meat, nothing in the food was homemade.

18/02/2026: Magnificent setting, ideal location, friendly welcome, comfortable room. The only drawback, and a significant one at that, was the breakfast: for €32 per person, you only get a croissant, a piece of bread, and a rusk so hard you could break your teeth on it. And when I dared to ask the young woman serving if it was possible to have a second croissant, I was curtly told, "No, it's one per person! We order them according to the number of guests, and it's one per person." And of course, she didn't offer me anything else. Needless to say, as soon as I left the hotel, I stopped at the first bakery I saw. In short, as someone accustomed to five-star hotels and Relais & Châteaux properties, I felt like I was in a run-of-the-mill youth hostel! This was my second stay at the Maison de Rhodes (the first must have been in 2018 or 2019), but I don't recall such a mishap, otherwise I obviously wouldn't have come back. But now I've learned my lesson: never again!

15/02/2026: We had a wonderful Valentine's Day stay at Maison de Rhodes. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, the rooms were spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, and the restaurant was intimate with quick and attentive service (we even had the opportunity to chat with the chef who came to make sure everything was going well and share a few secrets with us). A stay at the hotel that made us feel right at home!

30/09/2025: We enjoyed a three-course dinner here, and the price-quality ratio was excellent. The service was efficient and friendly.

10/01/2026: Perfect location, exactly as described. Very pleasant and helpful staff. The food is excellent, and the morel pasta is absolutely divine.

24/02/2026: This is the second time my friends and I have come here, and we're very disappointed. The first time, we sat down at a table, and a woman came over and told us to move because it was reserved, even though there was no sign indicating that. We had to move in a draft. What's more, the waitresses are very cold; it's almost like we're bothering them. The other time, it was the same thing: we asked questions, and they answered in a blasé manner, as if they didn't want to be there. Very disappointed. The place is beautiful, but the staff are not at all!

29/11/2024: It's a really good time to stop there. We are well received. We eat well, we are well served.

28/10/2024: Full menu of the day at 15.9 euros or reduced to 12.9 euros, eaten really well, right portions, fresh food. Very friendly staff, fast service, clean bathroom, 2 showers (rate 2 euros). 2 car parks, a small one next to it and a larger one in front. Absolutely recommended.

16/01/2026: Never disappointed, the daily specials are varied and well-prepared. The chef makes the rounds of the tables to ensure everything is alright. You are greeted and served with a smile.

04/12/2025: Avoid this place, it's not good, too expensive, poor quality meat, I strongly advise against it.

09/03/2026: Monday, 12:05 PM, almost no one there. And yet? Ten minutes for a rare hamburger, and when the vegetables arrived, no fries. I asked, and a young bearded man replied, "Choose something else because I'm going to put them in the oven now, and you'll have to wait five minutes." Instead of chatting, sir, do what you're paid to do, and above all, keep your advice to yourself.

06/03/2026: On several occasions I've noticed that the young man serving coffee is unwelcoming, doesn't say goodbye, and doesn't even smile. It's very poor customer service.
