07/09/2026: What a find!!! Please, if you have the chance, visit this amazing restaurant. The welcome is warm, humorous and generous. The food is quite literally out of this world. We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and were delighted by the food and drink (all from the region) which we enjoyed at La Bonne Excuse. Simlply superb...you owe it to yourselves if you are within a days' journey to eat here. The food, the wine, everything was stunning. Thanks to the whole team for such a superb meal.. There's also a display of paintings (painter is at work on landscapes while you eat) ns other artwork. Genuinely wish I could visit regularly (but we live in England - our fault!)

16/09/2026: What a wonderful experience! We had a great meal; the foie gras was very special, and the grilled turbot was excellent. The owners were super friendly; all three of them took the trouble to greet us and say hello, and a bowl of water was immediately placed down for the dog. Highly recommended if you are in Narbonne Plage or the area!

13/09/2026: What a pleasure to rediscover Anna's flavors! She's a true chemist with tastes. She surprises and delights us. I've included a photo of her order with fries and melted cheese—it's a dish for children, but she also makes an exceptional burger that's absolutely delicious. Be sure to make a reservation, as they have limited seating and can't accommodate too many people. Check their website for closing days. Enjoy!

29/08/2026: I just had a wonderful time in the beautiful city of Narbonne. I highly recommend this place—and it truly is one. Thank you for the warm welcome and the quality of the food. I was particularly taken with the Rosas anchovies, which are presented in a very original way, and the daily special. Hurry, I'm afraid it will be closing in mid-October and will remain closed until the end-of-year holidays 😉

14/09/2026: Long wait, about an hour for drinks. One of the two waitresses wasn't very friendly. We had to wait sitting in the sun and ask for water because the children were thirsty. Bad experience.

13/09/2026: I came this evening and honestly, I was extremely disappointed with the food… The Milanese cutlet was incredibly dry with no seasoning whatsoever, not even salt. And when you order the Milanese cutlet, you offer a side sauce, like the restaurant next door which serves it with tomato and basil sauce. They could just as easily have a pepper or mushroom sauce… The green salad had only half a cherry tomato and a really unpleasant aftertaste. On the other hand, the homemade fries were very, very good. €90 for two adults, a children's menu, a starter, and three Cokes. Honestly, I was furious knowing I didn't eat anything. My husband asked me why I always order Uber Eats. Well, because with Uber Eats, if something isn't good, I can ask for a refund, but not here. And €90 usually hurts my heart when I know it wasn't worth it, and I'm left hungry. At first, I even wanted to order dessert, but in the end, I didn't. I don't often go to restaurants because of this; I'm too afraid of wasting money on bad food. Well, tonight reminded me why I don't like going to restaurants. On the other hand, the service staff were very pleasant and kind, especially the most senior one, who was truly amazing. However, the young guy with dreadlocks was completely asleep, even though he was quite nice and pleasant. Too bad, I won't be back. PS: I wanted to say this politely to your face because I'm generally a very honest person, but my husband doesn't like to be "pointed out," and I'm not saying this in bad faith, but rather so that you can discuss it with the "manager."

12/09/2026: A generous and delicious Caesar salad with breaded chicken and anchovies. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and all at a reasonable price, on a lovely terrace with friendly waiters. We'll be back!

26/09/2026: While passing through Narbonne, we stumbled upon this restaurant and were absolutely delighted! The servers were lovely, very welcoming, attentive, and incredibly efficient. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The dishes were generous, delicious, and beautifully prepared, with very reasonable prices to boot. Excellent value for money. A wonderful discovery; I highly recommend it!

15/09/2026: Find a spot with a view of the kitchen, nice at the bar! Fantastic. Small menu, good wine. Ingredients are sourced from the various market stalls surrounding it, and products are ‘thrown across the street’ from the butcher. The owner is the French rugby champion.

31/07/2026: The paella of the day was really disappointing; the rice was overcooked, and the chicken and shrimp were undercooked. It's a shame, because the service and welcome were excellent, but the paella was not.

14/08/2026: I stopped at this brasserie by chance with my two children. And it's the best brasserie I've ever eaten at. The whole team was friendly and efficient. The waitress brought markers and a sketchbook to keep my children occupied. The grilled meats were delicious, as were the homemade fries. And the dessert was simple but excellent: a homemade apricot tart. Adding thyme to the top is a great idea that I'll definitely use for my own tarts.
