06/06/2026: L'Ecailler Gourmet in Narbonne is fantastic! Everything is excellent, the products are fresh, even live, like the lobster, although it doesn't show in the photo 😉. The place is warm and welcoming, and the staff is just as friendly, smiling, attentive, and helpful. The dishes are delicious, and I won't even mention the desserts, including the frozen raspberry sabayon, which I discovered. The fish and shellfish are cooked to perfection. 17/05/2026: We came as two couples, and this was our second visit. The setting is splendid, the dining room is very pleasant. Music played on vinyl... Original dishes meant for sharing. Excellent cocktails and very good wine. A superb culinary experience. We'll definitely be back! Thank you.

04/05/2026: A wonderful experience. The cassoulet is made in the traditional way and is less fatty than what you might find elsewhere. Enjoyed with a glass of red wine, it was delicious. I highly recommend it.

02/05/2026: We went there to enjoy classic cuisine and we weren't disappointed; everything was good. The semi-cooked foie gras was perfect, and the ravioli with cooked foie gras were delicious. The cassoulet didn't disappoint, though it was more traditional. It's one of the few places in Carcassonne worth the trip. The service was friendly, and they provided excellent wine recommendations.

17/11/2025: Medieval cuisine is certainly different from what we're used to eating today. Some dishes might, at first glance, seem a little bland, or at least not the kind of thing that would immediately make our mouths water, because our 21st-century palates are accustomed to tastes that are too sweet, too fatty, or too salty (clearly not the best for our health!). However, the kitchen team rose to this challenge brilliantly: each dish was perfectly seasoned, fragrant, and truly delicious. This made the culinary experience even more successful. The experience is further enhanced by the entertainment offered throughout the meal, as well as by the choice of costumes at the beginning, which immediately immerses us in the medieval atmosphere. We also greatly appreciated the intimate atmosphere of the restaurant, with only one seating at lunchtime: no constant coming and going, allowing us to fully enjoy the moment. A wonderful discovery that we highly recommend! Until next time!

08/06/2026: A very pleasant spot overlooking the river. The restaurant has been run by the same owners for 35 years. The service is provided by the gentleman, a kind, pleasant, and smiling man, while his wife remains in the kitchen, behind her stove. I was a little disappointed by the cassoulet I ordered...the portion was very generous, but I found it a bit bland. Overall, I found this place very enjoyable.
