03/02/2026: It's difficult to review a crêperie, as the process can seem quite standard. And yet... We almost missed it, simply because L’Olympia is also a performance venue: the facade and the curtains that largely obscure the interior might lead you to believe it's not a restaurant in the traditional sense. This would be a mistake, especially since it's one of the few establishments open on Mondays in Cognac, and highly rated. Once inside, the surprise is delightful: modern, stylish, and tasteful decor, and a pleasant atmosphere. The welcome and service are impeccable, warm, and efficient. The prices are very reasonable, and the freshness and quality of the ingredients make all the difference, both for the savory and sweet crêpes. A simple, honest, and very well-run establishment that we recommend without hesitation: Crêperie L’Olympia.

20/12/2025: We ate very well, but it was so crowded that sometimes we couldn't hear ourselves speak. I was a little disappointed that there was no menu and we didn't get to choose what we wanted to eat. I think some people have allergies or dietary restrictions, so it's not suitable for everyone. That's the only negative point. The meal consists of six courses (soup/two appetizers/main course/cheese/salad/dessert).

22/11/2025: I don't know if restaurants like this still exist elsewhere. Because it's a gem. A complete meal for a ridiculously low price and of very good quality. It's really worth the trip.

07/02/2026: A wonderful discovery on a rainy day! The welcome was friendly, and the food was just as delicious and plentiful! Beef tartare, fish en papillote, fish and chips...everything was good, even the fries were a delight! I highly recommend it!

19/01/2026: We had an excellent meal on a Sunday at lunchtime. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The portions were generous, and the vegetable gratin was a delight. The decor skillfully blends old stone walls with Art Deco. An unlikely combination, but one that works beautifully. And the waitress was simply lovely, so attentive to both adults and children (I think my 7-year-old son fell in love with her!). We will gladly return to try the other many meat dishes on the menu.

28/12/2025: On the recommendation of one of our campers, four of us dined here. We had a delicious meal. One of the guests was vegetarian, and they even catered to that. This restaurant, located opposite Confolens train station, looks nice from the outside. When you enter, you're a bit startled (as a Dutch person) by the fluorescent lighting, but you can sit comfortably in the back. The food is really worth it, especially for the price! The dishes were delicious, prepared with fresh ingredients and beautifully presented. Special mention to the chef who wonderfully accommodated our request for vegetarian dishes. You can feel a real passion in the kitchen! I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely return.
