15/09/2024: Fabulous food and we were made to feel very welcome by our host! A small but very well put together menu, the sea bass tartare was just incredible! And a lovely selection of local wines to choose from. We arrived at opening time, so we were lucky enough to get a table, but it filled up very quickly. Booking is definitely recommended!

Accueil sincère et agréable, pour une cuisine assez incroyable, par exemple une tourte au cerf assez dingue et réussie, des amuse bouches variés et succulents, des desserts inédits, surprenants et absolument remarquables, peu sucrés, en conclusion allez les yeux fermés, c'est juste formidable ! Bravo à toute l'équipe !

04/11/2024: Décevant! Quantités ridicules: on se croirait revenu au temps de la nouvelle cuisine avec ses portions minimalistes; par contre le prix est maximal! Exemples: un verre de vin (Bergerac quelconque) dans un grand verre, ce qui vous donne l'impression de ne pas avoir grand chose à boire : 12€ Dessert: 15€ Les plats sont bons heureusement Patron assez suffisant, un peu donneur de leçon Bref passez votre chemin. ha oui, j'oubliais : 135€ pour deux : une entrée+1 plat et 1 entrée+ 1 dessert et 2 fonds de verres de vins

23/09/2024: quelle belle découverte ! c'est tout à fait par hasard que nous avons poussé la porte du restaurant, très belle expérience culinaire et humaine, excellente cuisine, très bons vins; nous sommes retournés une seconde fois pour déguster le cassoulet maison... excellent. Les échanges avec le cuisinier et le personnel ont été également de bons moments. ALLEZ Y !!! Le cuisinier est un passionné de rugby !

30/08/2024: 08/28/2024 Super disappointed I usually come but here I should have avoided...mussels and fries lots of closed mussels, lots of empty shells and no they were not at the bottom of the dish unfortunately for the shells in pieces in my opinion.. ..result on the number = a lot of nothing!!!! good but the fries nonnn I was in a good mood I didn't send the dish back; at the moment, but frankly you should avoid serving broken pieces from the bottom of the fryer basket... seriously it was only broken pieces dark brown bordering on burnt, dry or saturated with oil....I should have taken a photo of this, my biggest regret...what a shame to serve this!!! I reported it to the waiter who probably said it to the waitress who took care of our table given the not very friendly looks... well yes when things are going well I say it but frankly wow you also have to hear rather than to act as if "nothing to do" ... Mathias was not there and it was visible both in the kitchen and in the service, too bad!!! I didn't even get to the desserts and the coffee...the stuff that was supposed to be fries that I ended up sending away with the dishes....awful enough to kill my appetite...I I'll think twice about it from now on. I think Mathias would have made a commercial gesture because he would have really listened, that's for sure!!! I prefer that my reservation be refused if there are people rather than being taken to find that on my plate!!! Lots of people certainly but at the expense of quality too bad!!!

14/11/2024: Went for lunch and found the food to be passable but not fabulous. The service was friendly but they were clearly short on staff. I had the omelette, which did have a lot of cepes but was not very flavorful, and came with salad. One of my friends had a duck dish that also came with lettuce salad. About halfway through the meal I glanced over at his dish and realized something was moving in his salad. Sure enough, it was a worm dancing about. I was so grossed out!! But the even more surprising thing was that when we called the server over, she was extremely non-chalant about it. She smiled and said sometimes that happens with fresh lettuce, and "they" get into the vinaigrette too.... And then she took the dish away, only at my request. Needless to say, it ruined the meal for me, and I had already eaten half my salad, so I was not happy! There was zero apology for what we found and no reduction on the bill or even the slightest attempt to alleviate the discomfort. Apparently, one is supposed to accept it as "no big deal." I have visited France many many times over the years and never encountered this, and especially, that attitude!! I will never return to that restaurant much as I love mushrooms, and please be forewarned if you order any dish with a lettuce salad! You might get more than you expected. Unless you like tiny animals moving about in your food.

26/09/2024: Accueil au top, le repas délicieux, on a pris un filet de bœuf avec son foie gras poêlé accompagné de cèpes et de sa sauce sans oublier une bouteille de montbazillac du château les cailloux.

14/10/2024: I arrived in the city center late, it was close to 10 p.m., I hadn't reserved anything, and the restaurant agreed to serve me a main course and a dessert, without the starter. I accepted the deal without regret. Even without the starter, I was served 2 small toasts with dried duck breast, enough to whet my appetite for what comes next. The duck breast cooked with porcini mushrooms and seasonal vegetables was a treat. The squash puree and parsnip puree were particularly good. And they were real porcini mushrooms, present in numbers, perfect for a fan like me. As for dessert, I ordered the one of the moment, the soft chocolate-chestnut, and I was served an incredible plate with various coulis, all delicious (almonds, salted butter caramel, passion fruit, red fruits), homemade whipped cream, a scoop of ice cream and its crunchy tile and of course the soft treat while still warm. Thank you to the team for their welcome.

07/09/2023: I only have one word that comes to mind when I think of this restaurant, it's La Justesse.... everything is just right, the flavors blend perfectly, everything is right from start to finish, for me I say bravo! In addition, the service is provided with great professionalism and passion. I had to go back this evening, I won't be able to unfortunately but I really hope to one day rediscover the pleasure of such a good meal. Congratulations again to everyone!
