10/05/2026: Sleeping at the New World is like stepping back in time to the 60s and 70s, but in East Berlin: antique furniture, worn bedding, a security gate at reception, a kitschy lounge, and few TV channels. There were several positive points, however: a huge free parking lot opposite the hotel, a bathtub in the bathroom, books to take home, and a pod coffee machine available in the hotel lounge. The owner even gave us coffee pods. Except the pods tasted like... I couldn't describe it, but they definitely didn't taste like coffee. I think the pods themselves were from the 60s and 70s. Good luck.

30/04/2026: Overall, the price for a one-night stay plus breakfast was acceptable. But it's a bit dated.

25/04/2026: Very disappointed!! It's nothing like I remember from a few years ago, when the food was excellent. Today, apart from the pizza (which we shared between two) which was good, here are our dishes: - The salmon dish (overcooked) with its overcooked rice, - As for the dish I ordered: "butcher's cut" (I'm still laughing about it), they brought me a spare rib and asked if it was a problem because they were out of spare ribs... served with overcooked fries. At the register, I asked to pay for the spare ribs and not the butcher's cut, and they told me: "But today the butcher's cut was spare ribs" (I had to explain to this young woman that a butcher's cut is beef, not pork!!!). Really disappointed!!

17/03/2026: I was very surprised by this establishment, which seems to welcome you according to its whims, a bit like the daily menu. I went there today to have coffee on the terrace with my partner and enjoy the sunshine. I ordered two coffees from the cashier, who was otherwise pleasant but visibly embarrassed by the instruction shouted from the bar by a rather tall, overweight gentleman: "No coffee on the terrace today!" Apparently, the terrace is reserved (at 10:00 AM...) for lunches. Rest assured, you read that right: lunches, not breakfasts. You've just lost two customers who were starting to get used to it. We traveled exactly 14 kilometers to get here. COVID has dampened the enthusiasm of some restaurateurs, as has inflation. The current economic climate is worrying, but what's remarkable about this establishment is that it has survived these crises. Will it survive its own staff?

05/02/2026: Well, I've been here several times, but I'm starting to think the place is getting worse. Not so much in terms of the staff, but the facilities. From the moment I arrived, the room door was locked. I was moved to another room, but I didn't get the best one... The shower head broke the first time I used it, the faucet mixer was covered in limescale and leaking, the refrigerator door didn't close completely, the bedside table was damaged, the bathtub sealant needed replacing, the bathroom paintwork was in very poor condition, not to mention the walls needing a fresh coat of paint, the floor was worn, and there were cracks in the walls... I think for a 4-star hotel, it's really too much. The bedding, staff, meals, breakfast, reception, service... I have no complaints, but I still end up spending my entire stay in the apartment...

28/11/2025: I ordered a Savoyard pizza without bacon, but with chicken instead, specifying my choice to the hostess over the phone. To my great surprise, I was served bacon at home. I expressed my dissatisfaction over the phone, and the so-called manager offered no apology and spoke like a schoolboy, shouting. This gives a very negative impression of this fast food restaurant, which I strongly disagree with.

15/09/2025: A basic Domino's as you would expect, nothing special to say about it, you can go there without fear.

12/05/2026: I've been there several times and have never been disappointed. The wait is always 3 minutes, maybe even less. You can relax, there's no loud music that gives you a headache, and they even gave me an extra milkshake (a small one) because "there was a little left." I recommend it!

12/02/2026: Super cold, we don't really understand what they're saying. And the smoothies are disgusting, they taste like water, they're not worth the price, avoid them!

17/05/2026: “A wonderful discovery! The new owners are passionate, welcoming, and incredibly kind. You can immediately sense their desire to do things well and to please. The food is fresh, generous, and prepared with excellent ingredients. Special mention goes to the owner, who is particularly friendly, motivated, and attentive to his customers. This is a place that truly deserves to be known. We will definitely be back!”
