02/07/2024: The former “relais du château” (Café tabac) became “the relay of Varennes”.
ESPECIALLY do not trust the bistro style room.
We were very pleasantly surprised by the chef's cuisine, the quality of the products, the originality and generosity of the dishes, the quality/price ratio as well as the professionalism and kindness of the server. very good wines by the glass.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

05/09/2024: We can see it as a tavern, most importantly, the location on the edge of the pond. We came with colleagues to eat for lunch, it wasn't bad overall. For me the ravioli were a little too salty, perhaps the addition of very thin slices of raw ham and the béchamel too liquid, for the rest good beer and not bad crème brûlée.

10/12/2024: Always a good welcome, good lunch menu, but the fries are cooked in the air... so they're not fries! Children's menu at 18€, ouch!
And the cherry, the menu has increased to 25€.
Avoid the table by entering on the left in winter, we had hot/cold at each entry. The door closes poorly which forces the waitress to slam it. Do not hesitate to involve a company

27/08/2024: Nous avons particulièrement aimé cet endroit qui respire la vie tout simplement.
Notre brochette aux gambas avec un riz super bien cuit, notre salade Auvergnate nous ont bien régalés.
L accueil est bien sympathique et le service rapide.
Nous reviendrons, c est sûr.
A recommander.

08/09/2024: Very nice service, great meat, I recommend the grilled chicken and also the steak. Unfortunately, the sausage is extremely salty. Desserts also very tasty.

24/08/2024: En famille, la découverte d un restaurant français avec sa cuisine copieuse et juste. Un petit écrin traditionnel qui fait plaisir à découvrir dans le quartier.
Simple savoureux et au service une dame d une gentillesse rare.
Merci pour ce moment. Nous avons vraiment adorés notre repas.
Rapport qualité très convenanble!!!!
50€/pers tout compris (apéro et vin) avec un splendide bourgogne recommandé se mariant autant avec les saints jacques que la viande....juste rare et parfait.

05/08/2024: Beautiful plates, quality ok, quantities a little light on the fries. We have eaten well. The value for money is a little expensive but nothing excessive.
It was to be expected but eating on a terrace is really not a good idea, too close to the road and at an intersection with a red light. Restarting the engines etc, not crazy crazy.
Pleasant staff, fast service.

You really feel at home there, the bar employees are very friendly and the choice of products to make your sandwich is varied.

27/06/2024: Since the time we passed by, boosted by the many positive reviews, we said to ourselves, let's give it a try.
If the reception and the presentation of the concept were really the biggest positive of this experience, the rest left us with a mixed opinion.
When we saw 2 toasts displayed on the front of the bar in the middle of the restaurant, we said to ourselves, we were impressed by their size.
Once served, we were disappointed by the quantity of ingredients on the toast. The meat is really in small quantity.
The bread (very good) is ultra dominant.
So, at €12.50 a slice, it’s less attractive.
But I'm sure this can be corrected.
In any case, the concept is original and the staff friendly.

03/09/2024: We went on a Saturday lunchtime (with reservation) it is essential to reserve. It was full and therefore very noisy. Is that why the wait was long between each course? However, there were 2 waitresses.
Too bad the quality is down. I can compare because I went there quite often. I left quite disappointed.

28/08/2024: To long waiting time for everything. At first we needed to wait between doors because the waiters were in huge chaos, after getting a table we have waiting 15 minutes foroder. Afterwards se waitend about 20 minutes for main dishes and afterwards we needed to wait AGAIN 30 mi utes for desserts ( we needed to ask for it twice)…
25/08/2024: A good restaurant with very good value for money. It's worth the detour
