25/10/2025: While passing through on our vacation route, we asked if we could have lunch, just the two of us, with our dog. The friendly waitresses, after asking if this was possible (our dog isn't exactly pocket-sized), seated us at the back of the room in a quiet corner. We enjoyed a fantastic full menu at a more than reasonable price. Thank you for everything; it was great.

08/11/2025: We always come with great pleasure on market day. The ribeye steak for two, cooked over a wood fire, is a real treat, and I love watching the chef prepare his dishes with care; it's like he puts love into it! Don't change a thing.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves: Veules oysters, perfectly cooked fish, and a remarkable cheese platter showcasing Norman products. The dessert, a coconut floating island, was absolutely delicious. 20/12/2025: A chance discovery. Exceptional! We haven't eaten so well in ages. Foie gras served in two courses: terrine and pan-seared with warm apples, hay-smoked pigeon, magnificent scallops, and the desserts were absolutely delicious. The waitress was fantastic, and the chef even came to say goodbye at the end. We'll definitely be back.

02/09/2024: Yesterday my husband wanted to invite me to a restaurant, while making a reservation he asked if we could come with our little dog... Answer: yes no problem Arriving in the parking lot of the "famous restaurant" located in the town, I take Shen on a short leash... A dog (UNTIE!) comes to meet us.... They feel... in my head I think that my dog ​​is tied and that the one who comes to us is in total freedom... and that there could be danger... but at the Sometimes I reassure myself by telling myself that it must surely be the dog of the RESTAURANT OWNERS... No time to finish my thoughts when the dog throws himself, all FANGS coming out, at our little dog... I try 5 or 6 times to take him against me... but the dog comes to bite him and take him back. each time... I end up succeeding in putting Shen up but the dog hurts me by trying to attack my dog.... NOBODY is coming to help us!! I gesture to the employees and ask to see the dog's owner. A woman comes to us... No more bothered than that... I ask him why no one came to take the dog away! Nor hold him... only answer: he has never bitten before, that means he must not know your breed of dog... Me: Madam, look at my dog, he’s injured!!! I go to the veterinary emergency room and agree that she will pay the bill.... according to the latter, the owner of the aggressor dog must present her animal 3 times to the veterinarian in order to check for rabies.. Exiting the emergency room I call the number provided... there a gentleman (who I assume to be the owner) refuses to let me know Mrs. Corinne L...., insults me, and tells me that my dog ​​attacked his! ! As a reminder, mine is on a leash, his is free and what's more, this gentleman did not come to help us, nor worry about the consequences for our animal... In addition, he refuses to pay the bill as agreed with his wife and refuses to take his dog to the veterinarian as the law requires... Impossible to leave it there, Shen is suffering, he was bitten on the penis, significant hematoma (ice to put on it), bites, tablets plus the shock. Complaint filed yesterday so that this dog never bites another dog or a child again and above all so that the dog's owners take their responsibilities!!! What a shame to behave like this...🥲 I am shocked and sad for my dog. Disgusted by the wickedness of certain humans 🥲

21/11/2025: This is the perfect spot to have lunch if you're visiting Monet's House and Gardens in Giverny. It's a bit of a walk down the main street, and you'll find it on the way to visiting Monet's grave (which you should also certainly do if you are in town). It has a lovely outdoor space as well as some seating inside though I didn't see anyone actually dining indoors when we were there. Perhaps they reserve that for when the weather doesn't allow for outdoor seating. The menu advertised out front is minimal, and there are more menu options on the regular full menu which they give you once you sit down. I wish they were a bit more transparent on the full menu before you sit down. We thought there were plenty of options to satisfy nearly anyone, and each tried sandwiches for lunch. Mine was a classic croque monsieur and my mom got a chicken sandwich on a crispy baguette. Her's was a "meal" and also came with a drink and dessert, which we shared and really enjoyed. The food was good. It really hit the spot, and the outdoor space was lovely, minus a couple smokers who were sitting nearby (yuck). If you're visiting Giverny, I recommend this as a nice lunch option!

31/10/2025: Giverny was lovely in its late summer bloom and gave us the experience we were hoping for! We had previously researched a casual dining spot for lunch and decided on Au Coin du Paint’re with its high reviews in the heart of the village of Giverny. The front outside dining area was rustic and charming, but we decided to eat inside as I was a bit chilled. The restaurant does not take reservations; when we arrived early, we had our choice of seating. During our lunch, the outside garden area filled quickly with other diners. Our burger, Croque Monsieur, beer and wine choices were delicious and exactly what we wanted! The other diners’ foods looked delicious too. A perfect way to close out our day in Giverny before returning on the shuttle to the Vernon train station.
