13/09/2024: Arriving just before closing, the employee was still able to make me a little sandwich to take away. Kind and very friendly staff. The setting is very nice. And I highly recommend the banana/chocolate crumble tart.

09/10/2024: Toulousains de passage, nous avons particulièrement apprécié ce restaurant pour la qualité de sa cuisine, l'accueil, et la qualité du service, avec une surprise aujourd'hui: un tirage au sort qui nous a permis de gagner un repas gastronomique gratuit, un verre de vin et un café. Nous recommandons chaleureusement ce restaurant, facile d'accès (parking juste devant la porte), et d'un excellent rapport qualité/prix.

08/09/2024: Happy surprise! Very happy discovery! I tasted the mint/cucumber “detox”… etc… Brilliant! As well as "Nordic" pasta... salmon... etc... I had heard that a good pasta dish... beeeeeeen... was good! So it took 60 years for me to taste a good one. It's impossible to reproduce at home because, for example, for juices, they use a kind of "low speed" blender which must cost the price of an essential part of James Bond's car, so... respect ... The staff is very, very, friendly Missing a visit to this bar would mean seriously neglecting your culture. Unforgivable! PS: as a strict heterosexual (borderline fundamentalist, Taliban tendency) I don't feel personally concerned, but the establishment is "gay friendly". In a city that gave so many fascists to France, we had to dare.

21/09/2024: I was lost and in need of a meal. This was my only option, so I decided to grab something in the 10 minutes before they closed. I opted for a takeaway meal option which comprised of a main course, vegetable side dish followed by some cheese. The meal was absolutely delicious. It was a truly flavourful and comforting experience. On reflection, I’m actually pleased I was lost. I’d have never found it otherwise. Thank you.

03/10/2024: La Grand Mare, recently taken over by new owners, is a superb discovery. The seasonal cuisine prepared in the charcoal oven is tasty and showcases the products perfectly. Whether you are a lover of meat or more refined dishes, the menu will delight you. The setting is warm and friendly, ideal for a good time with friends or family. The welcome is also very pleasant, with attentive staff. An address that I highly recommend!

30/09/2024: If Rome was not built in a day, the current owners of this hotel restaurant resurrected it in two months. In a building that is not lacking in style, the rooms have been almost completely redone, tastefully and using quality materials; a special mention for the quality of the bedding. Certain points can certainly be improved and they are aware of this. However, don't forget to dust off the headboards 👍. Regarding the restaurant which benefits from two superb rooms; you can only be happy to eat there: a short menu guaranteeing "homemade" combining the quality of the products with the know-how of the cooks combined with the "knowledge" of the staff in the dining rooms, it is more than remarkable with such a short operating time and a young team. The numerous presence of a local clientele is the best guarantee of this. Breakfast is the exception that proves the rule: here, no frozen croissants and other anemic pain au chocolat: everything is fresh and plentiful. The icing on the cake, all this for low prices. A word of advice; Travelers don't hesitate for a second to stop there, it's nothing but happiness.

12/09/2024: A great meal with great dishes, a very knowledgeable cook, and an experienced, attentive and very friendly waiter. Bad, incomprehensible reviews. Looking at the photos of small portions which suggest that we will leave with a feeling of hunger because we are big eaters, this is not the case! 27/07/2024: We had a wonderful meal at this cozy restaurant in Évreux. We were a family of five and ordered the three-course menu for EUR 32. We were all very happy with the food. We got five wonderful bite size “amuse-bouches” to start. The vegetable tart starter was absolutely delicious. The fish main course and dessert were also good, and we received three extra small sweets to finish. Both adults and kids loved this restaurant!
