11/01/2026: I had an excellent business trip to La Corne d'Abondance. The hotel is ideally located in a quiet, charming little village. A major plus is the private parking, making it a great choice for motorcyclists. The welcome was warm and the meals were simply excellent. As for the room: impeccably clean and very comfortable bedding. I highly recommend it! The establishment is very well adapted for people with reduced mobility.

10/11/2025: The wait was unacceptable. My family and I arrived at 12:50 PM because we had a reservation. Imagine my surprise when, at 2:40 PM (and I have proof), there was absolutely no food on our table. Waiting 30 minutes for a meal is one thing, but an hour is really long, but two hours?! I felt like I was being taken for a ride. In any case, if you're in a hurry, don't even bother going in; you might not get out until nightfall. This experience was a real ordeal. I hope they at least offer beds for overnight guests! That said, to be as objective as possible, I must emphasize the very high quality of the food, which was excellent, I must say. Sincerely

08/02/2026: A superb discovery at the Palais de Joséphine in Évreux! 🤩 The dishes were as beautiful as they were delicious, prepared with care and great taste. Each plate was a true delight for the eyes and the palate. All this was accompanied by a most welcoming and pleasant atmosphere, which made the experience even more enjoyable. An address I wholeheartedly recommend and where I will return with great pleasure!

08/02/2026: The meal (Normandy-style ribeye steak and homemade fries) was simply excellent. The pepper sauce is one of the best I've ever tasted. The service is simple, friendly, and unpretentious. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the meal; I highly recommend it.

We were pleasantly surprised by the kindness and warm welcome of our waitress, Malorie, who was very friendly, helpful, and had a great sense of humor (which is becoming increasingly rare 😉). The service was excellent, on time, and the galettes were delicious!! And let's not forget the prices; the value for money is unbeatable compared to our adopted south of France 😉!!! We highly recommend L'Archange 🥰

07/11/2025: We ate there as a party of three last weekend, and from start to finish everything was excellent: the ambiance, the welcome, the service, and the food from appetizer to dessert. I even finished my wife's delicious Caroline tart! I highly recommend this brasserie. Remember to book ahead. I can't wait to go back; if you're ever in the area, make the detour—it's worth it.

27/10/2025: Lunch as a couple on our way back from Rennes. We received a very warm welcome, even though we didn't book. On Mondays, be sure to book. We ate very well; the meat was high-quality and perfectly cooked. The homemade fries were delicious, and the desserts were delicious. Good value for money, a great place to eat.

07/01/2026: A small restaurant in a shopping center. Despite the location not being particularly glamorous, the owners have managed to give it a certain charm. The restaurant was listed as full, but no problem, two tables were quickly found, which is a big plus (where there's a will, there's a way). We had a good meal. The food seemed homemade. The service was pleasant. A place to remember when hunger strikes on the road. Be warned, though, this restaurant is very often full, so it's best to make a reservation.

21/11/2025: This is the perfect spot to have lunch if you're visiting Monet's House and Gardens in Giverny. It's a bit of a walk down the main street, and you'll find it on the way to visiting Monet's grave (which you should also certainly do if you are in town). It has a lovely outdoor space as well as some seating inside though I didn't see anyone actually dining indoors when we were there. Perhaps they reserve that for when the weather doesn't allow for outdoor seating. The menu advertised out front is minimal, and there are more menu options on the regular full menu which they give you once you sit down. I wish they were a bit more transparent on the full menu before you sit down. We thought there were plenty of options to satisfy nearly anyone, and each tried sandwiches for lunch. Mine was a classic croque monsieur and my mom got a chicken sandwich on a crispy baguette. Her's was a "meal" and also came with a drink and dessert, which we shared and really enjoyed. The food was good. It really hit the spot, and the outdoor space was lovely, minus a couple smokers who were sitting nearby (yuck). If you're visiting Giverny, I recommend this as a nice lunch option!

31/10/2025: Giverny was lovely in its late summer bloom and gave us the experience we were hoping for! We had previously researched a casual dining spot for lunch and decided on Au Coin du Paint’re with its high reviews in the heart of the village of Giverny. The front outside dining area was rustic and charming, but we decided to eat inside as I was a bit chilled. The restaurant does not take reservations; when we arrived early, we had our choice of seating. During our lunch, the outside garden area filled quickly with other diners. Our burger, Croque Monsieur, beer and wine choices were delicious and exactly what we wanted! The other diners’ foods looked delicious too. A perfect way to close out our day in Giverny before returning on the shuttle to the Vernon train station.

03/12/2025: This place dares to mock its customers, unheard of! The food was okay, but nothing special. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! There are much better options in and around Conches!
