10/05/2026: We had lunch there on October 12, 2024 when we left for vacation and then on October 19 when we returned. Great welcome, family cuisine and perfect prices. If we ever return to the region, we will book there without hesitation.

13/05/2026: A pleasant experience at La Gazette: excellent value for money, justifying the 5 stars. The dishes are tasty, though not all of the same quality: the chicken ravioli was too thick. The hake with celery risotto was excellent. Dessert: the finger was decent, while the savarin was delicious. There were some nice touches, but also some disappointments: the starters were clearly not up to par, but the rest made up for it. Regarding the service: the waiter was very friendly and pleasant, but rather slow, even though we were three tables of two. I'll have to go back to refine my opinion, but overall, the value for money deserves 5 stars.

19/03/2026: An experience I won't soon forget… unfortunately, not for the right reasons. I could sum it up in one word: kitchen nightmare. Cobwebs in the restrooms 😱, a door that wouldn't close… The service in the kitchen was a complete farce: dishes served at different times, repeated order errors… it was hard to understand what happened that evening. Even when it came time to pay, the confusion persisted: inconsistent bills, with different prices for identical dishes. We also have the feeling that the bottle of wine that was supposed to be complimentary was ultimately charged to us. Faced with the accumulation of problems, and despite our complaints throughout the meal, we decided not to pursue the matter further. In short, a very disappointing experience. An establishment I, for one, will not be returning to.

19/03/2026: Very bad experience. We didn't eat at the same time. The menus arrived, and those who had ordered pizzas waited over 45 minutes longer. The choux pastry on the profiteroles wasn't fresh.

01/02/2026: I highly recommend the homemade burgers. We ordered one classic burger, one chicken burger, and one raclette burger. The meat was excellent, and everything was very well prepared. Just a quick phone call, and voilà, no waiting—it was ready and hot! I recommend it without hesitation!

15/05/2026: The restaurant is situated in a magnificent setting, with truly remarkable surroundings. The food is very good and the dishes are well-prepared. However, the welcome is minimal: it's difficult to get a smile, there's no welcome, no wine list at the table, and no greeting upon departure. There's no interest in checking if everything is alright during the meal. The terrace is barely weeded, which reinforces the impression of very limited customer service. It's important to review the welcome, the interpersonal skills, and the overall atmosphere, because the human element matters as much as the setting. The setting isn't everything: taking pleasure in welcoming customers is essential.

20/05/2026: I had to call three times and still couldn't make a reservation. The first time, they told me to call back the next morning to book for May 24th, assuring me it would be possible. The second time, they told me to call back the following week. The third time, no, they were closed that day. So I was given the runaround for three weeks by a rather unfriendly man who finally said they were closed on May 24th. When things start with such a lack of respect for the customer, it's a place to avoid. I've never seen anything like it.

The owner's welcome is warm, friendly, and full of humor—you immediately feel at ease. The food is 100% homemade, simple yet delicious, and changes daily to guarantee freshness and variety. I opted for the daily special: a generous portion, perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and served quickly (ideal when you only have an hour). The staff is friendly and helpful, and the service is impeccable. The value for money is simply unbeatable for homemade dishes like this! Reservations are recommended as the place is very popular—and it's easy to see why.

11/05/2026: A truly wonderful experience celebrating a birthday with our family at Château Corneille. The welcome was warm, the rooms comfortable and quiet, and the surroundings of this beautiful estate peaceful. The meals were delicious, and thanks to Pierre's kindness and helpful advice, we had a fantastic time. We would love to return for another special occasion. We highly recommend it.

07/05/2026: Good restaurant, but the portions are too small for an adult... The dishes are good, well-cooked, and nicely presented, but you still leave hungry... and that's the bottom line. The restaurant is cute, the dining room is cozy, and the village has a typical charm. Note: Don't order the freshly squeezed orange juice! In my photo, the juice hasn't been drunk yet; it's served as is!

30/04/2026: A lovely establishment located on a charming little square in the pretty town of Pont-de-l'Arche, even more delightful in the sunshine. The welcome was particularly warm and friendly, with pleasant service throughout the meal thanks to the two very attractive waitresses. The only slight drawback: the quality and finesse of the dishes could be a little more refined. The food is decent for a brasserie, but given the prices, one expects a bit more on the plate. Overall, a good experience, especially for the setting and the welcome, but with room for improvement in the cuisine.
