24/08/2024: Well located terrace, nice setting. But the waiter was moderately pleasant despite the few people there were and the price was perhaps slightly exaggerated compared to the city.

30/07/2024: Restaurant : As the first warm weather finally arrived, the terrace was magnificent and the meal lived up to expectations. Both the meat and fish are mastered, the appetizers are creative and delicious, the wine list, in addition to champagnes (let's not forget that we are in the lower Champagne region) and usual wines, offers some bottles of very honest local wines. . The service was young, a little awkward that day but adorable; the mayors of Colombey and Chaumont, at the next table, spoke loudly, imbued and self-congratulating with wind. Too bad but we can't hold that against this beautiful establishment which is worth the detour!

28/07/2024: Nous avons passé un moment agréable autour d’une grande table ronde, dans un décor mêlant l’ancien et le baroque. Les différentes touches dessert pistache était fabuleuses.. Nous notons toutefois que le poisson était très bon mais la sauce moins recherchée

Smiling staff who are a pleasure to see. The possibility of having the addition offered by winning a game is nice, unfortunately I am not very lucky at games 😂

10/11/2024: L’endroit est vraiment très calme et beau La source bleue est à proximité et à voir Le repas est toutefois un peu décevant au niveau du rapport qualité prix Nous cherchons encore les girolles dans le fondant de veau basse température aux girolles mais on a trouvé les champignons de Paris Le gros chien et le chat de la maison sont plutôt sympathiques Le ménage de l’hôtel est plutôt approximatif

28/08/2024: Hello Endroit perdu au bout d une petite route...c est charmant. L hôtel est dans le bâtiment moderne, décoration des chambres surprenante, chambre spacieuse, bon couchage et jolie vue sur la source bleue . Les salles de restaurant sont dans le bâtiment ancien (ancienne manufacture de papier) avec la source qui coule à côté.. c'est charmant aussi . Le repas est bon. La gestion d un établissement demande beaucoup d énergie et de présence, il faut saluer le travail effectué. Une halte charmante et reposante.

22/08/2024: This is a truck stop with delicious, excellent food and very friendly staff. The entrance is behind the many trucks that apparently like to spend the night there, and I completely understand why. The showers and restrooms look impeccable. We'd love to come back again.

31/08/2024: We were not hotel guests but restaurant guests. The food was great! We had snails as a starter, duck tournedos with roasted potatoes and garden vegetables as the main course and a cheese plate at the end. Simply delicious. Price/performance was right. The service was very nice and the atmosphere was cozy if old-fashioned. Thanks for the lovely evening! Thank you!

18/09/2024: Ich bewerte sowohl das Hotel als auch das Restaurant: Wir buchten ein Zimmer der einfachsten Kategorie, da es sich nur um ein Stopp Over handelte. Erwartungsgemäß war das Zimmer klein, aber sehr sauber und das großzügige Bad überraschte. Große begehbare Dusche, gutes Licht, großer Waschtisch mit reichlich Ablagefläche, WC separat. Das Frühstück klein und fein in Buffetform. Neben zahlreichen Kuchen und Süßem auch zweierlei Schinken, Käse,gekochtes Ei. Hervorragend das Restaurant. Wir wählten das Menü zu 55 Euro, welches exzellent war. Eine schöne Weinkarte. Ganz außerordentlich freundlicher und guter Service (wohl u.a. die beiden Inhaber), humorvoll, schnell, immer mit einem Lächeln. Die Lage ist gut, mitten in der Altstadt. Das Hotel verfügt auch über eine Garage, 10,00 Euro pro Nacht. Absolut empfehlenswert.

03/12/2025: The meal was very good. A waitress cut her finger while opening a bottle of champagne; the champagne glass was stained with blood and wasn't replaced. A second waitress told us she wouldn't repeat the incident, that she had better things to do. We left without leaving a tip.

30/11/2025: Having celebrated our wedding at this restaurant, we were very disappointed with the welcome and service. The waitress cut herself and left the bottle and glasses covered in blood, which is completely unacceptable. The other waitress told us to be careful and said she would only repeat herself once. Otherwise, we have no complaints about the food.

19/08/2024: The restaurant did not meet our expectations. After reading the reviews and seeing some pictures of dishes, we had some high expectations, also after several champagne houses we visited told us it was a good choice of restaurant. Unfortunately the weather was not good so we good not sit outside on the terrace. The interior of the restaurant is not special and a little dark according to us. Their was a choice of 2 menus or à la carte. In the most expensive menu there was an additional price requested of 2 euros for the fois gras. We found that exaggerated given the price of the menu and the choice of only 2 starters including one with additional price. Each menu had choice of 2 starters, 2 mains and several desserts. Our group took the 2 different menus. We got some very tasty appetizers with our aperitive. Despite this restaurant is in the champagne region, the price for a bottle of champagne was very high, especially because we knew the original price of most bottles. Also wine was quite expensive compared to our experience with other restaurants even in the region. The starters were the best part of the menu, with nice presentation and delicious taste. The main dish was good but not so nicely presented on the plate. The portions are big but main dish came too quickly after starter, same for dessert. We finished 3 courses and aperitive in less then 1,5 hour and that while the restaurant was full. Dessert was not good, we took profiteroles. The entire profiterole came from freezer so you could not cut it. The chocolate sauce came from a bottle and was not home made. The dessert was poor quality, tasteless and too heavy. We did not drink coffee anymore. Atmosphere in the restaurant was okay, service not. The people who served us were not really friendly, dressed like they would go to a music festival and when some of us took cheese for dessert, no explanation was given about the cheese (not even the name of the cheese). Getting the attention of the waiters was also very difficult. When we were walking home (we stayed nearby), we were thinking that we paid more then expected, so we checked the bill when we got home. We were charged 50 euro too much so a few of us returned to the restaurant. When walking in they immediately said "we charged you too much" ... euhm, if they new it why did they not mention anything before or tried to catch us on the street? Maybe because we were tourists? We were given money back but not the correct amount, difference of 4 euros or so but we did take the discussion further anymore. Although the portions were good and quality of food was okay, we expected more and we were not happy about the service. We probably will look for a different restaurant next time.

16/08/2024: I highly recommend this place! A warm welcome and setting where you can enjoy delicious dishes. The menu is regularly updated and always manages to surprise your taste buds.

10/11/2024: We ate really well there. The menu is homemade and with fresh seasonal produce, the plates are copious and careful without neglecting taste. The service was great, the room is very cozy and warm, as well as lovely staff. We highly recommend.
