26/09/2024: Un bistrot sympathique ou les plats sont bons et copieux. Une formule est proposée le midi avec entrée, plat et dessert. Et un des convives a mangé une entrecôte de près de 600 grammes.

Overall the dishes served are correct, they live up to what one would expect, but nothing more.
As for the service, we would say it is acceptable, at least at lunchtime...
Now let's talk about the atmosphere:
If it's lunchtime, she wants to be good-natured and friendly.
On the other hand, in the evening it's a completely different subject, the place becomes borderline unfrequentable.
Everyone smokes everywhere, in defiance of regulations and respect for non-smokers...
It should also be noted that the price of consumption is not displayed, which often leaves surprises when paying the bill. For example, two identical tours billed at two different prices (especially when the numerous aniseed aperitifs ingested by the boss are starting to take effect)...
The latter does not bother to emit in quantity all sorts of belchings and other sonic flatulences which suggest that we are in a stable and of which he takes great pride...
Obviously the service goes hand in hand, the ice is served to you with your bare hand directly in your glass just like the water which, in the interest of saving carafes, will be served arbitrarily directly from the tap by the owner and so on. This is without taking into account the poor quality music blaring loudly that two individuals who have proclaimed themselves DJs impose on the rest of the clientele who have no other choice than to keep quiet and endure...
This is what you can expect if you are imprudent enough to come and visit this establishment in the evening!
It is to be regretted that this place which in the time of Olivier the former boss was so pleasant has fallen so low...

05/07/2024: I find the best Limoges croissants there but that's just my opinion and on the other hand I get my seeded angel steak there, it's just to die for.
25/06/2024: I came on Saturday evening to have a kebab pizza and several pastries, the staff is not welcoming I had to repeat at least 5 times what I wanted, it's as if we are bothering him especially since he is not There was no one too bad because I love their products

19/08/2024: we went to the mango tree 2 years ago, the welcome was warm and we rented a bungalow with breakfast included for 3 days. we were 6 people, we came to see friends 5 minutes from the hotel.
We were delighted with the stay, we had not taken our meals there.
We came back this year, me and my wife, we live in Reunion and after our first stay where the manager, a Reunion Islander, had warmly welcomed us, we decided to take a room for the night with breakfast.
we arrived around 8 p.m. the reception was cold as if we were disturbing. we asked if we could have dinner, the person curtly told us that it was right away because he was closing the kitchen and that we would only have one dish, either salad or a hot dish. surprised by this lack of consideration and warmth, she placed us on the terrace. We sat down and ordered a dish with fish and vegetable garnishes and a meat with vegetables.
we were able to order a bottle of rosé, we helped ourselves to glasses from school canteens.
The meal was mediocre and tasteless.
we left the next morning still with the "same April smile on an icy lake" but on the other hand a bill of around 150 euros for services which were below that of a "roadside restaurant"
experience that we will not do again in this bouiboui!!

17/08/2024: For a quick stopover, I got sandwiches here and ate them at the next aire (as it was obviously very busy). We had wraps, a salad, a pita bread and a multigrain baguette. Everything tasted very good! The service was excellent, especially the friendly woman behind the counter who helped me pack and did her best to speak clear French for me.❤️

26/09/2024: We were disappointed with the welcome: the friendliness of the waitresses needs to be reviewed… When we entered the café, the waitress looked at us but did not seat us. Then, we ask twice for glasses of water but we feel like we're bothering the waitresses so we ask for a carafe and get a response: "we don't make carafes" original for a restaurant???
Finally, we observe the boss (probably) rolling a cigarette behind the counter…
However, the crepes and chocolates were very good and well presented.
15/09/2024: When we answered the question of whether we wanted to eat or just drink with drink, the waitress sent us to a bad seat in the shade (17 degrees in autumn). Another waiter then angrily took away our cutlery and glasses of water. The glass of tap water we ordered with our coffee didn't arrive either. We were treated very unfriendly, so you don't feel welcome :(
Overall very unfriendly staff.
But the coffee and the hot chocolate were fine. Nevertheless, I find the 10 cent surcharge for a pinch of cinnamon over the hot chocolate outrageous!

19/09/2024: Petit restaurant/bistrot bien sympathique avec déco chouette.
Menu pas cher avec produits de qualité et cuisine maison.
Ne pas se fier à la première impression que peut renvoyer le patron qui sous ses airs d'ours mal léché est en fait très sympa et très à l'écoute quand on prend le temps de l'apprivoiser.
J'ai eu le plaisir de manger 3 jours d'affiler dans ce restaurant au déjeuner dans le cadre d'une formation sur Limoges et nous avons tous passé un très bon moment.
Je recommande vivement.
Petit bémol : les légumes se font rares mais franchement pour le prix, on ne peut pas tout avoir.
18/09/2024: Bon accueil, bonne cuisine avec des produits frais et une cuisson parfaite. Du choix avec un très bon rapport qualité prix.
Entrée plat dessert (menu du jour) 15€90, dans un cadre très agréable et une terrasse avec des tables en bois avec un coin petites braises qui réchauffe le soir. J'adore ! Vu nulle part ailleurs.
Le plus... Le patron qui vient vous voir pour savoir si tout va bien. Merci

For management:
I can understand that recruiting a counter salesperson for your brand is undoubtedly complicated, but I don't understand how you can let someone tarnish your brand to this extent! The waitress Asna (sorry for the spelling) is synonymous with disrespect, non-commitment, haughty and so on. No hello, no smile (even a slight welcome), you think you're in a factory but the customers are not machines (it was 1 p.m. plus so the crowds were very low) no goodbyes, "throw away" the order with a truly mind-blowing frustration. In short, I appeal to your common sense and your indulgence to free this poor woman who only seems physically present at work from her burden.
This kind of person has no business being at a counter.
If you don't have a sense of customer service and the latter annoys you, then you have to change direction, dear Asna!!!
As a boss I think you want to convey an image of service and quality?

27/07/2024: Very friendly but... I ordered a steak, a lot of nerve, a little elastic, my mother asked for a minced steak, it was overcooked. The other guests found the burgers quite good, the fries were delicious. I found it average for 20€ a piece! Plus I really don't like clearing my plate myself. I recommend it for fans of a fast food atmosphere with beautiful American decor because it's really nice. But for my part I won't come back, it's not my cup of tea

06/09/2024: Second stay at the Auberge, the first was just for diner, this time we decided to stay over.
The auberge is in a very nice and old building and the rooms are fine, clean and we had the access to the POOL which was nice and relaxing after a long drive. We have been helped with our luggage despite that the owner had a back pain and I think that it was courageous from her, to carry my wife’s heavy suitcase! She didn’t had to, but she did!
The diner is just fabulous, the service is diligent and friendly. Believe me, WE TRIED and there is nothing equivalent or superior to that auberge MILES AROUND!
31/08/2024: Arrêt sur un long parcours pour déjeuner...vaut le détour. Accueil agréable, cuisine excellente et fraîche.
Bon rapport qualité prix
