25/09/2024: We had a lovely ‘menu de jour’ meal here for a bargain. The food is not ‘cordon bleu’, but very tasty and nutritious It’s clearly very popular with local tradespeople for lunch, as well as a few other locals having social meals out. It’s not aimed at tourists, but we were made very welcome For any British folks who aren’t familiar with this sort of place, imagine the best ‘greasy spoon’ cafe you’ve ever been to, then think of it serving French home cooking instead, at about half the price you’d pay in the UK (4 courses, bread, ½ litre wine and coffees at less than £15 a head)

01/09/2024: Small "worker's restaurant" as they were called before there was fast food.....unpretentious but well-cooked cuisine, choice of dishes, on-site cooking. There are few like that left, let's not hesitate to put them to work rather than eating a hamburger while driving your car in a large parking lot, the price is the same!!!!

23/08/2024: Great discovery for a lunch break a few minutes from the A20 motorway. Very friendly welcome, a short menu guaranteeing homemade food. The menu includes starter, main course, cheese, dessert. The carafe of wine and coffee are even included! If we come back to the area, we will definitely go back...

08/09/2024: Nous sommes allés dans ce restaurant avec des amis qui le connaissait, tout est parfait les plats dégagent des saveurs en bouche que je ne connaissais pas . La patronne conseille les vins et ils sont excellents . Établissement incontournable. Merci au chef et son épouse.

23/07/2024: We did not eat at the restaurant so no judgment on the dishes. Simply drank a coffee at the counter, very decent. Funny feeling when you enter the bar, the local clientele looks at you from head to toe. Foreigners in the village do not go unnoticed.

22/09/2024: Petite expérience dans le noir qui nous a étais forte sympathique. Nous avons étais très surpris en découvrant ce que nous avons manger. Le magret de canard était excellent , limite trop de viandes mais nos papilles ne s'en plaignent pas. Le personnel très agréable, à l'écoute et respectueux. Je recommande entièrement pour les amateurs d'expériences gustative.

25/05/2024: Super soirée à la marelle des saveurs pour un repas dans le noir. On appréhendait les sensations mais très belle expérience, je recommande. Entrée, plat et dessert tous excellents ! On a réussi à vider toutes les assiettes de présentation. Un grand bravo à l'employé qui a géré le service et la cuisine haut la main !

25/10/2024: Dîner entre copines un soir de semaine. Pour commencer l'accueil fut très froid, difficile d'avoir un bonjour. En ce qui concerne le repas, rien à dire c'était parfait, viande tendre, accompagnements parfait. Après le repas,la serveuse revient dans la salle et baragouiner: "elles sont encore là elles". Il était 22h15 Alors "elles", sont très mécontentes et ne reviendront pas, de plus il faut faire attention à qui ont s'adresse.

15/09/2024: Last minute booking. Disappointment when we arrived in the parking lot. Remains of construction site around the building. The terrace is not very maintained. The hotel is old. The welcome is friendly. . The rooms are comfortable and clean. The advertised restaurant is closed. A good refreshment wouldn't be amiss.

01/08/2024: De passage entre Niort et Clermont-Ferrand ne pas hésiter à sortir des grands axes. Ce restaurant vaut le détour, repas à 22.50 : entrée plat fromage dessert café le rapport qualité-prix est largement au rendez-vous de plus tout est fait maison. Accueil très sympathique et chaleureux

10/09/2024: 300 meters from Limoges Bénédictins station, you could pass by without paying attention, but don't hesitate to open the door. The menu is more than complete, starter/main course/cheese/dessert/coffee/wine for €14.50! And what's more, the food is homemade and the owner is friendly. What more could you ask for! Oh yes, chocolate mousse, or on Wednesday, eggs in wine!!! In short, go through the door and make up your mind.

14/09/2024: We were here just to eat this time and it was simply fantastic! The restaurant in the hotel offers typical French cuisine at the highest level. The atmosphere is rustic and charming, you immediately feel at home. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. Every course on my menu was excellent – ​​from the aperitif to the dessert, an absolute pleasure! Although we didn't stay overnight this time, I can also recommend the hotel from previous stays; the rooms are good, although a bit older. However, I have to deduct a star because the location of the hotel is not ideal. Nevertheless, I will definitely come back and can only warmly recommend this hotel-restaurant!

10/08/2024: We have dined here each year with few breaks for a quarter century since it was a somewhat run-down auberge du lac run for water skiers and have greatly enjoyed watching it develop into a lovely secluded place with a great and spacious lakeside view, very good food, imaginatively put together and beautifully presented and a warm welcome.
