However, I asked for a tiramisu for dessert and I don't know what I was served but it was anything but a tiramisu.
So disappointed, so much so that I didn't have coffee 😞

The aesthetics of the dishes match their flavors. Sophisticated offerings that are always legible on the palate, so you don't get lost when tasting. A superb diversity of textures. The food and wine pairing is perfect. Thank you for this party

Simple but good dishes and a selection of wines 🍷 to match.
Friendly and empathetic server. I recommend !
13/03/2024: The establishment is nestled in the very center of Azay where we find quality local dishes. The products (cheeses/charcuterie) on the boards are excellent and fresh.
But what we appreciate above all is the quality of the advice and recommendations of the waiter/oenologist who knows the origin of his menu very well.
It is a pleasure to discuss grape varieties with him and goes so far as to tell us little anecdotes from certain areas.
We highly recommend.

06/04/2024: A remarkable renovation of a beautiful historic building from the 18th-19th century: rare! Commons in freestone, well-sized bedroom perfectly furnished with built-in wardrobe, bathroom with Italian shower, separate WC, espresso machine, etc. Well done !

30/03/2024: Positives: Location is great, room was spacious, good water pressure and heat (in my particular room) and the staff is lovely.
Negatives: Heat did not work in all rooms and water stopped running in the middle of a shower. No elevator (so not a good choice for those who have large luggage or issues that would impede their taking the stairs), rooms are mediocre at best: no privacy (woke up to the person's alarm next door), things in room broken (shower door jammed, cabinet cover fell off the hinges as it has been taped on, etc.), all rooms are separated among various sections of the hotel and sometimes one must go outside the hotel in order to get there (something to consider in bad weather with luggage).
26/03/2024: The staff was very friendly but didn’t do anything when I told them about the old mattress and how it was uncomfortable to sleep on the bed because we felt the coils and springs. The hotel doesn’t keep anyone in the lobby so there isn’t any security and some of the rooms are around the corner through the ally with no lock on the door or security person. Explorica uses this hotel to host High School student groups but Explorica should research the hotel a little better.

11/09/2023: We had a great piazza but boy did we have to wait for it. Pretty sure the chef was of hunting the pigs for the ham. Might be worth bringing sandwiches just in cast your hungry.
