23/02/2026: A warm and welcoming atmosphere, burgers conceived and made by the chef and her son. A wide selection of other dishes and sandwiches to keep things interesting. And finally, desserts that are easy to overindulge in! Everything is homemade, from the burger buns to the desserts, including the sauces and soups. Beers from small producers at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

12/02/2026: Little burger cafe on the main road with seating inside and out, warm welcome from the owners when we arrived. Had an afternoon snack, burgers are of a very high standard, delicious also chicken meals are very good. Great choice of food. Very good service.

20/02/2026: A wonderful experience at this mountain restaurant. The dishes were excellent and well-prepared, but the real highlight was the service. The servers were truly attentive, helpful, and very friendly, which made the meal even more enjoyable. There was a genuinely pleasant atmosphere and a real focus on the customers. I highly recommend this place.

19/02/2026: We love having lunch at Chalet du Lac Basson. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is delicious. We ordered grilled meats: lamb chops, duck, and ribeye steak. They were cooked to perfection and the meats were flavorful. Then we had blueberry tarts and a tarte tatin. Afterwards, we had to go for a walk to burn off some calories! A special mention goes to the Grill Master, who is incredibly friendly and always has a great sense of humor, making the experience even more enjoyable and certainly brightening his own day! We look forward to going back!

26/02/2026: We loved our evening at the cabin: - The snowcat ride was fantastic - The room was spacious and comfortable with tables spaced far enough apart to enjoy a family meal - The food was excellent: the fondue was superb, as were the desserts, and there was a great children's menu too - The service was very professional and friendly

A huge thank you to Youri, Énora, and Justine, who were outstanding from beginning to end. The dishes were excellent and perfectly executed. The final touches being prepared right in front of us made the experience even more special. We truly felt Youri’s passion; he doesn’t just serve, he creates a genuine experience. 19/02/2026: We ate at L’Espérance restaurant last night, and where do I even begin? It's literally the best restaurant I've ever eaten at; everything was divine! I would say the same for the service, which was simply exceptional! We were seated with a magnificent view, and the staff was welcoming, smiling, and attentive—it truly felt like a family atmosphere. A huge thank you to Justine for her recommendations, to Énora for her time and excellent service, to Marc for his responsiveness, to Lionel and Dave for their good humor, and finally... THANK YOU to Youri for his explanations, his time, and his demonstrations. We learned so much and were delighted to meet someone so passionate and kind! Just wow. A top-notch team and excellent food! I'm giving it 5 stars because you can't give more! Best wishes to all.

08/02/2026: Extremely disappointed by the experience. Given the prices on the menu, we expected quality products. But let's start with the welcome. We'd barely arrived when we were told our table was taken for a second seating. Every table received this polite greeting. Business is business. We could have at least had a decent meal... But let's talk about the fondue: extremely watery, with little flavor. The charcuterie? It came from France and Italy. The waitress offered no further details and must have already gone to ask in the kitchen... This charcuterie seemed mass-produced. In short, our experience wasn't very good for the only restaurant we ate at during our vacation. Expensive and not very high quality.

The dishes were delicious: the tender and tasty chicken and chorizo ​​skewer, the perfectly cooked duck breast, and what can we say about the enormous floating island, a real treat to end the meal! 21/02/2026: The restaurant was far from exceptional; it was good, but not particularly high quality. The raclette was served with just boiled potatoes (I'd never seen that before). The waiter didn't seem to understand much. He came back to the table twice to make sure we ordered the correct dish, forgot our drinks, and made a lot of excuses (so taking our order was a bit slow).

26/08/2025: "Traditional cuisine," indeed, given the owner's attitude. A minor misunderstanding between a friend (who, incidentally, apologized profusely right away and without any ill intent) turned into a ridiculous conflict. Condescending remarks ("I'll teach you about life") followed by extremely unpleasant responses to polite questions during payment. The owner brought up the incident again with the same condescension and aggression even though we tried to calmly explain the situation. The tone escalated further, and threats were profuse (including physical threats, with an employee hiding an ashtray behind his back with the intention of hitting one of my friends), and then the owner became increasingly aggressive. A pointless argument worthy of the best reality TV shows over nothing much. This "good" man is absolutely not recommended, and this restaurant (sorry to the other employees who have nothing to do with it) is to be avoided at all costs. Deplorable. Simply deplorable.
