21/09/2024: Very nice place with an outdoor terrace that you wouldn't suspect from the street. I was there for a private evening with savory and sweet treats to nibble on and an excellent punch, we had a great time

16/12/2024: I like La Cigale because it is a magnificent place, I find the stimulating atmosphere of the brasserie there, the servers are friendly and attentive, the cuisine without being very sophisticated, haute cuisine style, is a mix between tradition and creativity around local seasonal products: the food is very good, very fresh and the wine list is to match. It is also the emblematic place to take non-Nantes residents to impress them. It's an unforgettable moment for them, especially if you offer them the very well-written book on La Cigale to deepen their experience.
16/12/2024: A very beautiful place! The decor takes us into a moment between parentheses for a sweet break. Warm welcome and very pleasant service.

31/07/2024: Arrived for a drink, full terrace. I wait in front for a table to quietly become available while waiting for friends. 3/4 Other groups arrive and wait like us. And when tables become available, the waitress, very “dry” like some white wines, seats people who have just arrived.
Remaining very courteous, I remind him that I have been waiting for a quarter of an hour and I am abruptly dismissed.
!!!!!
I let him know that I remained polite.
He must not have liked this and installed the people who arrived after us on the following tables.
Very unpleasant, knowing how to remain courteous even with a full terrace, that can be learned.

25/06/2025: Very good rib of beef, despite a fairly high price, and respectable duck breast! The fries were unlimited with the rib of beef and were simply excellent. However, the roasted camembert with truffle was inedible, too salty, too sour and we unfortunately had to send it back to the kitchen. It was so disgusting that we refused to be served a second one. When it came time to pay, they refused to refund us for the camembert even though we had barely touched it. They ended up giving us a 20% discount, which is frankly pathetic. No gesture was offered to us by the establishment. But hey, I won't let a bitter start encroach on the rest of our experience. I recommend this place but only for their beef and poultry.

23/08/2024: The decor is passable, the service when we ask the person who serves and cooks at the same time: 'what wine do you recommend with our dishes' response: 'oh for me it's the same, it's alcohol' .
It was neither good nor nice, I have a hard time understanding the 5 stars that everyone gives it.

16/11/2024: Very nice place. We ate a quality kig ha farz. Accompanied by a good cannon. Very good homemade Nantes cake too. And the little lambig shot at the end which warms you up.
What do the people ask for!
16/11/2024: A fantastic Breton restaurant, with seasonal cuisine and perfectly selected and presented wines.
The shellfish are impeccably prepared in summer, the kig ha farz is unanimous in winter... and the pancakes all year round, as well as the best Nantes cake in town!
The welcome is always excellent.

03/09/2024: We went there during our holidays in the way to cognac, honestly we didn’t understand what was the high reviews about. Mediocre taste of food. No baby chair only baby sit to raise the kid , not aplicable for children under 3. We only went there because nicer places were closed on Monday . By 8 the restaurant got full with locals that were drinking on Monday night.. not so pleasant
01/09/2024: excellent repas plat et dessert: seiche tendre, parfumée et très bien cuite, petits farcis "mieux qu'à Nice" et souris d'agneau parfaite! Pavlovas parfaites!

20/09/2024: In the bay of Fouras there are two little paradises, the Ile d’Aix, and on the island, the hotel restaurant Le Napoléon. Its setting, its rooms, its catering and above all the welcome and kindness of its staff encourage you to stay for an “eternity”.
19/09/2024: Very warm welcome, super friendly team, dinner in the restaurant was excellent and the menu was very well done.
Very clean, very quiet and peaceful, we had a unique stay. We will come back with pleasure! Thank you so much !

05/12/2024: The service is terrible and disrespectful. We had to wait a very long time before being served and the welcome was frosty despite the few people present that evening. Do you have to be a regular to get a smile and a friendly welcome? After several years of coming and hanging on despite the lack of human warmth, I threw in the towel this evening after taking two friends who were very uncomfortable with this exchange.

06/08/2024: We found this atypical place, which resembles an igloo in its shape and blue lighting, during the excellent walk organized by Voyage à Nantes to discover the island of Nantes.
A pleasant break to have a beer or a glass of wine on the banks of the Loire after a day of teleworking..
