06/08/2026: The “terrace” is a very cute courtyard. The food was fresh and good. Friendly service. The appetizers were very delicious. We had the carpaccios beef salad, salmon tartar, and another steak salad.

27/08/2026: Reservation was fine and the staff were very accommodating, with details provided for disabled guests and for a 60th birthday celebration. However, the reception and service were too inconsistent, with too many hiccups and inconsistent attention to detail: - No aperitif was offered; we had to ask for it when ordering. - The same applied to the wine pairing; we had to ask for it at the end of the ordering process, which meant repeating the order. - The menu wasn't presented, nor was the chef's choice to prepare and serve a dish in two different ways (zucchini, green asparagus, crab, veal, tuna, chocolate, peanut, etc.). - We had to ask for bread after the dishes had already been served, and a carafe of water arrived 30 minutes after we requested it. - There was no special attention paid to the birthday celebration; no offer to take a group photo of the table, while other tables received this service. This was a very negative point, although I could excuse the rest due to staffing issues (absences and lack of experience), but the chef was present and could have rectified this. The food was decent, though the presentation was nice. The chocolate was disappointing; it was a sort of milk chocolate cream with no real presence. The veal was served lukewarm, and the tuna was served cold; I would have preferred it warm.

07/08/2026: As a Wonderbox gift, we chose this restaurant and we weren't disappointed. The food was very good and refined, and the staff were very kind and friendly. I highly recommend it.

14/08/2026: La Sole Dorée on a little back street near the Hotel Mercure Centre, where I was staying, is a wonderful hidden gem. I was charmed by the atmosphere & service, & absolutely blown away by the food! My first meal there was lunch where I had the eponymous sole which the waitress beautifully prepared for me at the table. At first, that was an "amuse bouche" of the best gazpacho. I've had all summer. Also, a wonderful fish dip served with little toasts. When I went for dinner, the starter was grilled watermelon (on the menu, a play on words, "pas steak"), quite delicious, surprising, and refreshing. After that, a wonderful turbot with foie gras sauce(!) It was sublime. I actually had dessert. Twice (lunch & dinner.) Little "trompe l'œil" mushrooms (or cèpes) made out of two scoops of ice cream with meringue "caps", and chocolate sauce. And, after the dinner, baba au rhum, with the bottle placed on the table, just in case. Most highly recommended.

22/08/2026: Lunch on the terrace overlooking the cathedral. The daily special tartine and tagliatelle carbonara were both delicious. The service was pleasant and efficient. The prices were very reasonable. I'd gladly return.

12/09/2026: We chose this place for lunch as both my wife and I are wine lovers (and indeed WSET certified) and the reviews suggested it had a great selection. Its location is good and has a lovely bistro atmosphere, popular with locals. I was encouraged by all the bottles of wine on shelves on the wall with prices so asked to see the wine list. The answer was dismissive point to the board which listed only a few wines by the glass. My wife had a rose and I had a white Loire. Mine was oxidised, most likely through having been open for too long. I politely asked for it to be changed only to be told that it was perfect, despite the fact the waiter didn’t even smell or try it. I did get it replaced, but felt 7€ for a small non-de script local wine was poor. For food, I ordered the plat de jour which was well priced (13€ I think). However, it was beef cheek stew on a bed of mashed carrots with a few vegetables. Whilst tasty, it pretty quickly ended up looking like baby food. My wife’s duck (23€ or there a-bouts) was nicer, but had the same sauce as mine and really lacked presentation. Maybe it’s better in the evening, but I’m afraid I can’t honestly recommend it based on our experience.

01/09/2026: I was blown away. Used to lengthy descriptions for a simple beef dish or fish preparation, I chose an ultra-simple dish, thinking it would be a good challenge in the kitchen. I was stunned by my dish: impeccable presentation, a generous portion, but above all, subtle nuances, simple yet sophisticated flavors, a surprise from the very first bite, and a second bite to confirm that incredible surprise. Thank you to the chef and his team, thank you to the service. I can't wait to come back.

20/09/2026: I have mixed feelings about our dinner. The service was efficient and the staff were smiling. I ordered the daily special, a chicken Milanese-style fillet that was way overcooked—it was almost like a nugget! The cleanliness of the pass area was a bit questionable, especially when the table was right next to it. But the atmosphere in the dining room was really great.

19/09/2026: A truly fantastic concept! We had a wonderful time, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The 80s-90s theme is brilliant: it takes us right back to our childhood with a real dose of nostalgia, but mostly a positive kind of nostalgia 😊 The decor is really fun, original, and very well thought out. You can tell a lot of work went into the concept, and that's what makes the experience so enjoyable. One small drawback, however, concerns the cleanliness of the place. Whether it's the chairs, the benches, or even the restrooms, some elements could use a good refresh and, above all, a thorough cleaning. It's a shame, because the restrooms often reflect the overall hygiene of an establishment. Nevertheless, this is something that seems easily improved, and once fixed, it would really allow us to fully enjoy this great concept! We had a great time and will gladly return.

You were always available and offered us dishes that were a hit with all our guests. We wanted to make a lasting impression, and you succeeded! The team was fantastic, efficient, and able to adapt to the heatwave and the slightly delayed schedule.
