11/11/2025: A lovely, traditional inn. The interior is very cozy (the fireplace was lit, which was very pleasant). The dishes are tasty and quite generous.
Don't hesitate to book if you're in the area; you won't be disappointed.
11/11/2025: Superb experience with the €55 menu. The sweetbreads with morels were perfect, and the tournedos Rossini-style had incredibly tender meat. I'll definitely be back.

J'y ai mangé tous les soirs durant 10 jours.
Plats variés et tous aussi bons les uns que les autres.
La truffade est excellente notamment.
Le restaurant fait d'ailleurs le plein tous les soirs.
04/09/2024: Pas à la hauteur des notes. Spécialités locales très en deçà des standards de la région.
Truffade sans saveur. Charcuterie bof!

15/09/2024: Très décevant : le rapport qualité &prix est loin de la moyenne. Truffade en quantité très limitée, poisson juste chaud, fromage sans pain... sans parler du manque d'amabilite de la serveuse... Nous étions 5 adultes et 3 enfants et avons laissé 300€..... Le seul point fort est le service des menus enfants très rapide.

We wanted to make an appointment, but let's just say we gave up:
- Online: not possible
- By phone: not possible
- In person: couldn't care less and told us to get lost
Honestly, it's not worth it, and when you look a little closer, it's not about pleasing customers, but about making money. They bought up everything in the center of Mont Dore: three tourist trap restaurants, soulless bars, a gaming room that's so depressing and unwelcoming because there's no one there in person, all just to make money… Honestly, don't bother going there. It's about giving them financial satisfaction, not about customer satisfaction… Oh, and if you see 5-star reviews, they're fake. You can't have 1 star and 5 stars; one of them is definitely lying!!

I think you've chosen the wrong profession. When you're in sales, a smile, politeness, and especially a greeting are fundamental to the job. Not a glance, not a hello, glued to your phone, worse than teenagers.
My advice: change careers.

10/06/2024: Déçu de la potée Auvergnate au choux qui était très peu Garni en viande.deux bout de lard,1 rondelle de saucisson à l'ail,2 petites pommes de terre, puis le choux.Je m'attendais à une potée Auvergnate plus copieuse comme les Auvergnats savent le faire !par contre le dessert a été de bonne qualité
02/06/2024: Vraiment très bien. Menu équilibré et soigné, par bourratif et des gens vraiment sympas. Ce fût une surprise car nous n'avions prévu que de dormir à l'auberge et prévu de dîner à Compiègne.
