08/01/2026: The foie gras and homemade gingerbread were to die for, the tournedos Rossini was amazing, the crème brûlée was delicious and perfectly crisp, not to mention the warm welcome. A truly memorable time spent in this charming inn. 💝

22/03/2026: Upon arrival, the exterior of the hotel wasn't great.
The bar and restaurant had pleasant decor.
The superior room (340) was adequate except for the outdated windows, tiny bathroom with noisy plumbing, and no soundproofing.
The standard rooms were very dreary.
The pool was a good size and the temperature was perfect, but the surrounding area, ceiling, and staircase were really unpleasant to look at. Dinner was good but too large for my taste (especially the ravioli). Breakfast was good except for the low-quality honey.
The staff were charming and attentive. In short, for me, it's a good establishment, but not up to the standard of a three-star hotel I frequent. The main drawback, for me, is that the rooms need to be made more welcoming.
16/03/2026: The hotel is really well located, with a superb view of Mont Dore and the valley. The heated pool also has a view. The room was very nice.
The restaurant was excellent; we ate very well, both the cocktails and the main courses were truly high quality. We had our baby with us, and they were very easy to work with and well-suited to our needs. And the staff were absolutely fantastic. A huge thank you for your warm welcome, your helpfulness, and your attentiveness in every department (reception, restaurant manager, housekeeping, breakfast staff, etc.).

Excellent place.
I recommend it 1000%.
The ingredients are fresh, the food is excellent, and the service and atmosphere are top-notch. The waiter and the owner are welcoming, pleasant, and attentive.
The "L'étape" menu is a gem.

08/01/2026: I'm a spa guest and have been going there for three years on a full-board basis.
The owner, Romain, is incredibly helpful, as are the staff. Everyone is very friendly.
As for the meals, I have no complaints; I don't eat better at home.
Discretion, respect, nothing to criticize.
Just one small drawback: the Wi-Fi quality in the rooms.

21/03/2026: A wonderful evening at this lovely restaurant where we stumbled upon it quite by chance (our original choice of restaurant was fully booked). And luckily so! This little restaurant is definitely worth a visit; we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and the staff were incredibly friendly (especially when they offered our daughter, who isn't a big cheese fan, a delicious plate of potatoes and salad, at no extra charge!). Special mention to Lolo from St. Barth, with whom we chatted about our lives in the tropics!

15/03/2026: A wonderful discovery in the village of Mont Dore. The food is excellent and Laurent is simply fantastic. A unique and incredibly pleasant place. We had a wonderful time.
We highly recommend it and will gladly return.

19/03/2026: A charming Auvergne setting where you won't get cold! The wood-burning stove provides excellent heat.
As for the main course, the Charolais beef (unfortunately not Salers) was cooked perfectly to our liking. One drawback was the Auvergne stew; the cabbage was practically nonexistent. A shame.
The service was a bit lacking in friendliness, especially upon arrival.
15/03/2026: A truly DIVINE experience!
I would go back every day without hesitation.
The traditional ambiance with the wood-burning stove made us feel warm and welcoming from the moment we entered the restaurant.
The waitress who looked after us all evening was attentive and met all our needs. Thank you again!
We ordered a fondue that transported us to heaven, the appetizers were truly exceptional, and the desserts were all perfect.
I would be so grateful to find another establishment as wonderful as yours.

16/03/2026: A nice restaurant at the foot of the slopes. The food is good and the service is quick. Since I was with a dog and a baby, the servers kindly seated me in a quiet area away from the main crowds.

16/03/2026: During a weekend hiking trip in this beautiful region, we had dinner at this restaurant (without a reservation). The setting is typical of the area, and the dishes were delicious, generous, and flavorful. We had a lovely evening. The staff was helpful and tried to serve us quickly.
A great place to eat.
16/03/2026: Very mixed feelings. The truffade for three was good and well-served, but I was disappointed by the blueberry tart, which was dry with very little pastry cream – not worth €7. The verbena digestif (shooter) at €5.90 was unnecessary if we'd been paying attention to the price. But the biggest problem was the wine. We wanted two glasses, but were advised to take a small carafe instead, which they said would be more economical. However, when the bill arrived (which they didn't give us afterward), it came to €54 per person, which seemed odd. When we left and did the math at home, we realized they had charged us €22 for the bottle of red wine, and even then, we were still over €30 short! Given how few people were there that evening, we can't explain this mistake, and we were left with a very bitter taste in our mouths.

10/06/2024: Déçu de la potée Auvergnate au choux qui était très peu Garni en viande.deux bout de lard,1 rondelle de saucisson à l'ail,2 petites pommes de terre, puis le choux.Je m'attendais à une potée Auvergnate plus copieuse comme les Auvergnats savent le faire !par contre le dessert a été de bonne qualité
02/06/2024: Vraiment très bien. Menu équilibré et soigné, par bourratif et des gens vraiment sympas. Ce fût une surprise car nous n'avions prévu que de dormir à l'auberge et prévu de dîner à Compiègne.
