full of new and blended flavors. A hushed atmosphere. A shame the dining room isn't air-conditioned.
The unbearable heat makes the experience unpleasant.
06/07/2026: The evolution and the surprise are there.
Perfect cooking, fresh, flavorful ingredients, and a clear focus on the preparation of the dishes. A wine list with a wide selection.
The only minor drawbacks we couldn't note: the seasoning, a little too salty at times. But nothing serious.
In the end, thank you for this experience.

18/05/2026: Very pleasant welcome, hearty and very good meal, the chef comes around to the dining room several times to ask if everything is alright, very professional, and the prices are very reasonable.

21/06/2026: For a €44 menu, we expected a more refined experience. We weren't necessarily looking for large portions, but rather more flavor, freshness, and a level of quality more in line with the restaurant's positioning. It's a shame because the setting and the welcome were pleasant.
13/06/2026: Ideal for group meals, perfect welcome, friendly and discreet service, not noisy at all, we loved the meal and I already have requests to come back next year for the Riom choir.

05/07/2026: Horrible. The wait was endless. We arrived at 7:07 PM, it's 8 PM now, I clearly stated that we needed to eat before 8 PM, and the couple who came after me are already being served at the next table. We won't be back, that's for sure.
28/06/2026: We came on a Sunday at lunchtime as a family. Impeccable welcome, fast service and delicious meal. We'll be back.

11/07/2026: We ate at Le Caveau des Tontons last night. For starters, we had salmon with fresh baguette. For the main course, we had risotto and lamb. A real treat! And for dessert, the pistachio cake and dark chocolate were amazing 🔨 so good, we were thrilled. A bottle of white wine and an espresso rounded off the meal perfectly. The prices aren't cheap, but definitely justified. Thanks for a great job! 👍

Exquisitely prepared dishes.
Thank you to the chef for suggesting the bluefin tuna, which wasn't on the menu, as it was our second visit in two days.

12/07/2026: Set menu for under €20 with a cold buffet starter where everything is homemade. Tasty and generous main course and excellent dessert. The staff is fantastic.
10/07/2026: A lovely salad served with the dressing on the side, an amazing dressing just like my grandma used to make… a touch of whole-grain mustard, a vinegar that actually smells like vinegar and not like concentrated must trying to pass it off as balsamic… traditional bread… Friendly waiter… in short, it's really good.

10/05/2026: Introduction to golf this morning in Riom and a very nice discovery! The view of the Puy-de-Dôme, the calm, the guidance of "Georges" and the satisfaction of succeeding in a shot... it was a great moment with the family.

16/06/2026: Catastrophic hygiene: bread is handled after money has been touched, and dozens of flies swarm around the pizzas and quiches. Some discomfort is understandable in the heat, but this is frankly disgusting. The service is just as bad: the cashier ignored me to attend to the department while other customers waited. No sense of service, no efficiency whatsoever. Avoid at all costs. I'm giving it 1 star because I can't give it 0.

02/06/2026: Having been a regular customer for a few years, I find the store pleasant and well laid out. The promotions are clearly displayed, it's fairly clean and tidy, and the cashiers are friendly. However, I don't stock up because Carrefour and other supermarkets are nearby. My only slight complaint is the fruit and vegetable selection and bread, which are just average.
