25/09/2024: Je ne comprend pas tous les commentaires négatifs formules sur cet établissement.
Voilà au minimum 6 fois que je me rend en ce lieu, ou je suis maso ou les commentaires que j'ai pu lire ne sont là que pour discrédité cet etablissement.
J'ai toujours été bien reçu, les plats sont servis généreusement et sont bien cuisinés, les fruits de mer sont frais et bons et je peux dire, contrairement à ce que j'ai pu lire, personne dans mon entourage a été malade.
La cuisine est traditionnelle, sans chichi, le personnel est sympathique et à l'écoute, le cadre un peu vieillot reste dans la tradition familiale.
Maintenant chacun a le droit de donner son avis, mais doit rester honnete, c'est pour cela que j'ai rédigé celui ci en toute honnêteté et sans intérêt, car j'ai été assez choque par ce que j'ai pu lire.
Sans aucun doute, je retournerai dans cet établissement.

07/09/2024: Menu basique de piètre qualité avec un sentiment de réutilisation de produits de la veille. Fautes d'orthographe constaté sur une grande majorité des affichages du magasin ce ne sont pas le sérieux.
Quand on s'exprime via Facebook vous êtes systématiquement black listé ce n'est pas bien et pas honnête.
07/09/2024: Who are these owners who censor negative comments (Facebook) and block them when they are reprinted due to spelling mistakes on the display?
Indeed the managers are not at the top of spelling (or even donkeys) and the customers will not be present there and so difficult to have but very easy not to come back and word of mouth on the management of this commerce is not legion.
As for the menus, they are of canteen quality and vegetables are absent or even incompatible between the meat (poor quality) and 3-day-old vegetables, for example pureed. In short, absolutely avoid it.

But twice in a row there were omissions in the orders… (candles for a birthday, marking the cake “Happy Birthday”…). And bread forgotten in the order. Adorable staff but often too overwhelmed and disorganized as soon as there are a few people. It's a shame…

17/12/2024: Je n’ai jamais rencontré de serveur aussi DÉSAGRÉABLE et avec un tel mépris, je pense que lui faire manger des carottes ne serait pas une mauvaise idée vu l’amabilité de la personne.
Le respect n’est visiblement pas donné à tout le monde, dommage.
12/10/2024: Serveurs sympathiques , et rapides patron aux petits soins nourriture digne d’une brasserie, tout est maison . Aussi les prix sont doux pour la situation ! Merci

06/09/2024: Above all restaurant to avoid, already very unpleasant waitresses, then after dissatisfaction of a neighboring table, the latter not having appreciated their plates they decide to refuse to pay, what a mistake, the waitress physically threw herself at the gentleman in insulting him,...really very shocking, lack of politeness and so on.....
04/09/2024: La serveuse de l'Escalier nous a sauvé pas 1, mais 2 soirées et chaque fois avec une infinie gentillesse !!!
Chères personnes qui notaient les restaurants de Fécamp et d'ailleurs, sachez que ces restaurants (en dehors d'Allouvi) sont au mieux menteurs au sujet des réservations (Barbican), soit voleurs et incompétents (la Boucane) et nous avons dû nous rabattre 2 fois sur l'Escalier qui s'il ne sert pas une cuisine exceptionnelle a le mérite d'être accueillant et bienveillant, une qualité essentielle !

09/09/2024: Very disappointed with this restaurant, I am not about to set foot there again with my family.
sure two waiters, one was not welcoming and put pressure on us when ordering and the other pulls a six foot long head. We were the only black family there and strangely we were forced to order our desserts at the same time as our dishes... while others who arrived later were able to take the time to order their desserts after their meal.
I found the food quite expensive for what is served in some dishes.
Sorry, it’s not because it says “be kind to those who have a heart to work…” on your wall.
So be kind to your customers too.

28/09/2024: We stopped here twice while visiting the cathedral - for a cappuccino and beer when we arrived in Rouen and for a meal when we left.
When we sat down to eat, it took a while for our table to be cleared by the previous person. But everything was okay.
Nice staff, fast service. Food was good, the house minced meat looked great, but unfortunately it was completely tasteless. Without seasoning it yourself, it tastes bland.
Otherwise absolutely nice restaurant in a great location.
14/08/2024: Unfriendly staff and far from friendly. No longer serves dishes from 8:30 p.m. and "does not make glasses of water because the waiters do not receive half-price salary", while one of us was drinking.
Inadmissible and sympathy needs to be reconsidered.

This hotel is completely abandoned to itself. The rooms are in a deplorable state, with non-existent cleanliness. The carpet is full of stains, and the duvet, without a cover, is just as dirty. The toilets are in a deplorable state, like the rest. The roller shutters don't even work properly, not going all the way down. The level of dirt is simply intolerable. It is incomprehensible that such a neglected establishment could have received three stars – it does not even deserve one.
Despite an ideal location and immense potential, this hotel is a total disaster. I strongly advise against it, especially given the prices charged. An experience to escape!
21/09/2024: Decent hotel for the price.
In fact, the bathroom is not very big, the mixer did not work well and for the TV only the classic channels work, but not the available applications. The room remained correct, in its original state but clean. Unfortunately it was a little cool but the pool was very tempting!
Our experience remains rather positive, we were well received by the staff and there is a very beautiful view from the room

16/12/2024: Ce restaurant devrait être fermé par manque énorme d'hygiène et dans les avis, personne ne parle des toilettes une honte, même pas d'accès pour les personnes ayant un handicap dès franchissement de la porte du local,
J'ai signalé cet établissement auprès de la mairie et leur ai demandé de faire passer le service d'hygiène (apparemment ce n'est pas leur problème....) je l'ai aussi signaler auprès de l'office de tourisme !!! n'en tienne pas compte... Cet étalissement est hyper mal tenu et sale, le personnel n'en parlons même pas, ce ne sont pas des professionnels,
Si vous voyez certains commentaires positifs c'est que le soit-disant gérant demande à leur famille, amis et connaissances de noter que du bien de l'établissement....
13/11/2024: Très simple mais excellent,pas d’hypocrisie du personnel, ex dessert ananas au rhum :vrai tranche d’ananas une touche de chantilly et dans une tasse séparée du rhum non dilué simple nature excellent.menu à 22,90 très bien coquille st jacque gratinée hum y’a bon!

26/07/2024: Nous sommes allés à la même période il y a un an et nous avons bien apprécié l’endroit et la nourriture !
Nous y sommes retournés cette année pour faire découvrir ce bel endroit dans nos souvenirs à des amis et nous avons été assez déçu ! Ce n’est plus ce que c’était … ils ont certainement changé de cuisinier car ce n’est plus la même chose pour résumer c’est plus cher et pas très bon ( ils n’ont plus de viviers comme auparavant pour les homards qu’ils vous présentaient à table vivant, avant de les cuisiner,!) . Une chose est certaine, je ne ferai plus la publicité de ce restaurant et n’y retournerai plus.
25/07/2024: Une belle adresse !!! Nous avons dégusté des huitres délicieuses !!!!!
Nous sommes satisfait de notre déjeuner. il ne manquait que les nappes blanches à la terrasse couverte pour garder le standing de "grand restaurant".
Le personnel est très gentil et attentionné.
