05/07/2026: Disappointed. Tasteless salad dressing, frozen-quality fries, a small €19.90 burger, barely melted cheese, and cooked medium-rare due to health regulations?! Why put beef tartare on the menu when it's normally served raw? The choux pastry was also frozen... In short, very disappointed. Luckily, the service was good, and the waitresses were embarrassed to hear the truth. Last but not a word from the head waiter, who didn't even leave the counter...

31/07/2026: I've been to this bakery several times, and unfortunately, it's always the same story: no improvement. The bread selection is often limited, and many loaves are overcooked, even burnt, especially the whole wheat breads. This isn't the level of quality one expects from a bakery. Customers have already reported the problem, but nothing seems to change. It's truly a shame to see this situation persist when a simple adjustment to the baking process could improve the experience. I hope that measures will finally be taken for future customers. Personally, after several disappointments, I won't be returning to this bakery.

27/06/2026: This is genuinely one of the best bakeries I have visited in France. Delicious fresh bread, good portions, and very affordable prices too. A place where you could easily get your breakfast or lunch every day. Highly recommended!

18/06/2026: Location is great. We only had a after dinner drink in the patio and service was slow. Room really nice but a little small. Receptionist very kind suggested restaurants around. Because of the narrow streets in the old town, we ended up scraping all the rims on our sports car. However, when we left, the parking attendant was extremely kind and helped guide us out of the old town.

12/06/2026: La Mirande is a gorgeous hotel with a perfect location in Avignon. When I first arrived I was given a room that was so incredibly beautiful it felt like the room of a queen. Unfortunately, there was a plumbing issue underneath my bathroom that precipitated me needing to be moved to another room. While the staff was incredibly courteous and attentive to me during this issue, the updated room I was moved to was much darker and had a musty smell - not quite as on par with the original room. Nevertheless, I would strongly recommend the hotel. I had several lovely meals out on the garden terrace admiring the flowers and the view of the Pope's Palace. And I really cannot emphasize enough how excellent the staff were at every moment of my visit.

05/08/2026: I only got a croissant and a pain au chocolat and both were absolutely terrible, the worst I had in three weeks on vacation in France, pale and the butter had a weird taste, hopefully it was edible and did not went bad…. 0/5 Stars, go to the next boulangerie…

12/07/2026: The staff are friendly and smiling, which is much appreciated. You have the choice between air conditioning inside or a shaded terrace. The products are fresh and delicious. There is parking available. I recommend it.

26/06/2026: First visit since the change of ownership. A "hello" wasn't exactly customary at Françoise's, as everyone knew. It's a shame the two new young owners haven't brought this magic word back into fashion. Even when you arrive with your hands full. Is this a cursed place for saying hello with a smile? Otherwise, two of the three waitresses are smiling and friendly. Given the choice between two places serving coffee for €1.50, which do you think you'd go to? With or without a smile?

20/04/2026: By far my favorite café in Avignon! A very warm atmosphere, ideal for getting some work done, with delicious pastries of course ;) Update 4 years later: A landmark is closing… we'll miss you.

26/06/2026: I was with a tour group. Rooms are small by USA standards but they are immaculate,everything works.Air conditioning was adequate and it was 95 degrees outside.

15/06/2026: Great hotel in a converted convent, in old town and a short stroll from the Palace of Popes. The pool needs attention, but it's pretty remarkable to have one at all in a property like this, especially with how hot Avignon can get in summer. Dinner at the restaurant was better than passable, and fresh orange juice for breakfast. Ask for a room in the historic rather than the new building.

13/05/2026: We had a very good filled baguette and two cookies there. Very tasty and fresh!

13/05/2026: Meal between two visits. 10-minute wait. Two ham and Emmental cheese sandwiches (very crispy bread and fillings provided) + one very good custard tart with shortcrust pastry and one red fruit crumble. We ate very well. I recommend it.

04/08/2026: We went to Flunch as a family to eat. The three of us ordered a hot meal, and the fourth person, not being very hungry, only ordered a starter and dessert. He couldn't sit down with the other three because he didn't order a hot meal. The rules state that you can only be seated if you order a hot meal. So, if you're not very hungry, you're forced to order something if you just want a light meal with your family. It's absurd. NEVER again Flunch. I'm boycotting it!

03/08/2026: Ordered 5 ice creams, took over 20 minutes to receive the entire order. As a result, I had to eat them separately. Very bad experience.
