02/03/2026: Extremely expensive for very ordinary products, cleanliness that leaves much to be desired, and five employees who sat at the counter chatting and laughing amongst themselves for the entire hour and a half we were there… frankly, what a lack of professionalism! Avoid at all costs!

22/02/2026: Something amazing just happened to me… Fire alarm at 11:30 PM. So far, so good. I get dressed, leave my room, and walk around the hotel. No one's come out of their room. I do another walk around the two floors, still no one. I think I'm all alone… I go back to my room, and the door is locked… I don't have my phones, my watch, or my socks… Total disaster. I waited outside for forty-five minutes. I found a group of young people who helped me call the number on the door, and someone came to open it. The fire alarm had indeed been triggered in my room. The guy asks me, "Did you smoke in the room?" I look at him and say, "I've never touched a cigarette…" He asks me, "Did you take a shower?" I said, "Well, yes..." He said, "Ah, well, that explains it..." Note to self: "Never book a hotel at this hotel again." I find out the next day that the person who intervened that night was none other than the owner! He should think about selling and doing something else with his life!

07/04/2026: I've come here several times for waffles because they're very friendly, unlike at Crêpes Eats where some of the waitresses are haughty. But today I noticed my tray was very dirty. It disgusted me; I didn't even finish my waffle, which was served cold! It's disappointing because I think you have everything you need for good service!
11/01/2026: Hello, an espresso (Senseo flavor) for €1.90 in a shopping center without a great view seems excessive, doesn't it? For comparison, even by the sea (Saint-Martin-de-Ré) an espresso costs €1.70. And I won't even mention the price of a 50cl bottle of Oasis.

08/11/2025: A message to the management of this establishment, the "JR" of Poitiers nightlife, Lacroix Jerome by his real name: when you organize a 100% girls' night and reservations are required, it would be nice to respond to the messages we send. And especially, when the event is canceled, it would be just as important to let people know! My friends and I arrive at La Tomate Blanche and it's closed! Your competitors are having a 100% girls' night next week; we'll spend our money there from now on. Of course, I don't expect any response from you since you can't even be bothered to inform your customers that the event is canceled.

09/05/2026: I'm with my friends, and we waited 15 minutes for our order of 4 watered-down iced teas. Avoid them!
04/05/2026: A very bad experience; we won't be going back anytime soon.
Arriving at 11 p.m. as a group of 10, just for a drink, we were greeted without a single smile. The waiter sighed in front of us when taking our order, clearly giving the impression that we were bothering him. His initial attitude was just as unpleasant.
As for the drinks, we had an undiluted Monaco liqueur and the service was rushed and completely unfriendly. To top it off, a hurried "thank you and goodbye," as if he couldn't stand having us there any longer.
It's worth noting that the café closes at 2 a.m., so we were there two hours before closing time, which makes this attitude even less understandable.
It's a shame, because the welcome and service are part of the experience. That evening, they were clearly lacking.

25/05/2025: We arrived with 12 people instead of 10. The staff were unpleasant and exasperated because one person was in a wheelchair. Given the reception, we ended up leaving without ordering.
25/05/2025: The welcome was unacceptable, disrespectful, and vulgar.
One of our friends was in a wheelchair. She was called a pain upon arrival because this hadn't been specified in the reservation.
The restaurant was almost empty. We had booked for 8, but there were 12 of us. We were in training and staying at the hotel next door.
That's 4 extra covers. The waiter pointed this out to us and informed us that we would have to wait anyway because he only had one cook.
We got up to leave in the face of such a lack of professionalism.

14/05/2026: Avoid at all costs! €26 per person for 3 undercooked fries, and the buffet wasn't clean.
11/05/2026: The restaurant had potential, both in concept and on paper.
However, the food quality was disastrous; the rice tasted awful, frankly, I had my doubts about what I was eating.
Half the buffet was empty, and the meat was cold.
The staff were very friendly, no complaints there.
But if you want to eat well and have a good selection, I definitely don't recommend it.

The host is incredibly kind and dedicated. She puts her heart and soul into her hospitality and cooking: homemade meals, made with organic and local produce, bursting with flavor and generous portions.
The room is spacious and clean, with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is tastefully decorated, with a touch of originality that makes the place unique.
A truly wonderful place, run by an entrepreneur who does everything to ensure her guests feel at home. I warmly recommend this farm-inn to anyone seeking authenticity, comfort, and a welcoming atmosphere.
03/10/2025: Catastrophic experience
Arrived early after giving advance notice
Waited outside for an hour and a half without knowing when the owner would return
Finally went straight home and the next day we were charged for the entire stay: room plus tourist tax and two meals

23/11/2025: The restaurant was dirty, with cobwebs around the wall lights and in the corners.
The cleanliness of the dishes left much to be desired.
The service was so rude, you get the feeling you're bothering them.
I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant. Avoid it at all costs!
I think the owners should find another line of work.

01/10/2024: 2 trips in this excellent truck which reminds me of the values of the profession I have chosen.
Excellent welcome by a smiling and radiant woman who almost makes me want to take detours to Poitiers more often. The meal is copious with unlimited starters cooked with love, a wide choice of meals will satisfy the palates of young and old alike with variety and quality.
In short, an essential address in a driving life

28/09/2024: I had a very good dinner, large cold buffet with lots of choice, hot main course and very varied dessert buffet, all for 14 euros! Other options for options (burger, prime rib and seafood upon reservation)
In addition, the bar staff in the room are great

03/02/2026: We stayed at this hotel during the summer of 2025. We booked through a Wonderbox gift voucher, and the hotel was supposed to provide a small welcome gift (two bottles of local wine and a box of "Goulibeur" biscuits).
Once we arrived, no one was available to give us this gift, but we were told it would be sent to us.
I've contacted the manager three times since July, and she assures me she'll send it shortly: we still haven't seen a penny of it.
I do not recommend this hotel; the customer service is appalling.
In addition, the rooms are clearly outdated, and the breakfast buffet was questionable (especially the cold cuts).
Avoid it.

RECEPTION: Efficient, Professional, Everything you would expect from a Logis Hotel.
ROOM: (Hotel Le Clovis)
Clean, Spacious, Quality Bedding.
One drawback to note: The television is ancient (probably from the 90s). The screen size is ridiculous; even my PC has a bigger screen!
BATHROOM: (Hotel Le Clovis)
Clean, Spacious. It's a shame that the tiles, the ceramics, and the fixtures (sink, bathtub) all scream 80s!
BREAKFAST: (Hotel Le Clovis)
A generous buffet is offered.
It even includes local specialties like Tourteau Fromager (a type of cheesecake) and Broyé du Poitou (a type of shortbread).
