27/01/2026: Ideally located on the city's main thoroughfare. Pleasant welcome and atmosphere. Nice dishes and good quality ingredients, but I'm deducting a star for the small portion sizes, which would better justify the price 😉

31/12/2025: Great restaurant, warm welcome and very good food, if you are in the area and hungry it's worth the detour!

31/01/2026: Three fewer dishes on the menu, the meal served cold, the fish almost raw, even though there were only four of us at the table. The dishes were served at different times: one person finished their meal while another was still waiting. The kitchen staff publicly reprimanded the waitress (in the open kitchen), which was disrespectful to both the employee and the other customers. We definitely won't be going back!

30/12/2025: Hello! The service, food, and friendliness were simply incredible, everything was perfect! We had a wonderful 60th birthday celebration for my mother! La Coupole By la ferme, I say yes and highly recommend it! Thank you again from the whole family! We'll be back to play the piano too, hehe! A special thank you to Cléa and her mother, our hostesses for the day.

29/06/2026: I had an amazing evening at this bar. The Sunset Spritz cocktail was absolutely delicious, the bartender was super friendly and welcoming, he took the time to chat with us and recommend cocktails based on each of our tastes. I highly recommend it!

A small suggestion: Would it be possible to try some new vegetables for your quiches (pumpkin, parsnip, cauliflower, eggplant, artichoke, fennel, endive, turnip, asparagus, olive, etc.)? 08/06/2026: We had a lovely time at this restaurant. The dishes were as beautiful as they were delicious, with elegant presentation and excellent flavors. However, a few things could be improved. The decor could perhaps use a refresh to create a warmer atmosphere. I also found the cheese rather bland, and the dessert was served very lukewarm, which made it less enjoyable. Finally, the staff is professional and friendly, although a smile would add an extra touch of warmth. Overall, a good experience, with a few tweaks that could make all the difference.

23/05/2026: The welcome was normal, nothing to report, but the service was mediocre. They practically jumped on us, not even giving us time to look at the appetizer menu. They brought us rock-hard croutons to spread with tuna rillettes? Hello, dentures! We asked the waitress why the bread was so hard, and she replied, "It's all I have," before giving us slices of bread. She came back to take our order without waiting for us to finish our appetizers. Unhappy and not very friendly, she returned later. The menu wasn't worth the price, the young waiters were too attentive at the table, in short, a bad experience at this express restaurant, "Le Lion d'Or," which wasn't very welcoming. A sad end, or perhaps just plain hungry? 😂🤣

25/04/2026: Passing through, we stopped at this restaurant and had a meager meal for €24. However, the food was good and unpretentious…the presentation of the dishes could use some improvement.

07/04/2026: The à la carte meal was very good, excellent value for money, and the welcome was very friendly. Despite its proximity to the main road, the terrace is very pleasant.

06/02/2026: Good homemade pizza. Quarter bottle of wine for €10. So, with coffee, pizza, and a quarter bottle of wine, it comes to €29.60 – that's expensive!

12/06/2026: The food was very bland, lacking flavor, and the sauce was watered down. Overpriced for the quality of the dishes. The presentation was interesting, but the food wasn't tasty. The same goes for the cheese; I expected less processed cheeses.

15/10/2025: Not being from Châtellerault, I highly recommend this bar/restaurant! The bartender and the waitress were incredibly kind, the kind of hospitality I've rarely experienced. The warm welcome allowed me to truly enjoy my work break. If you're passing by, stop in for a truly exceptional mental break. Thanks again for everything.

07/05/2026: The place and atmosphere are quite nice. However, I don't recommend the arancini, which are supposedly €10 for "6 portions." They were swimming in oil and already cut in half with canned tomato sauce on top... the whole thing was tasteless. A real shame.

13/05/2026: Cocktail reception for 18 people. Perfect. Som, the restaurant manager, is very attentive and generous. We had a very pleasant evening. A place to recommend without hesitation.

02/04/2026: We wanted to have lunch there as a stopover during our walk on the Camino de Santiago, but the restaurant was full due to a seminar. The manager offered us a seat on the terrace and allowed us to eat what we had bought at the bakery. So we can't comment on the food, but the service and friendliness were excellent, and the terrace was very pleasant. Thank you very much!
