30/03/2026: The welcome was perfect, the seafood platter was delicious, and nothing was missing (plenty of bread and napkins). We felt very comfortable there and will definitely be back this summer to eat on the terrace.

11/03/2026: It's a nice little restaurant where you can eat seafood, the products are good and the service is excellent, the only negative point is that it's very small and therefore there's not much room to move around.

23/03/2026: Excellent restaurant, the waitress was very pleasant as well. It had been a long time since I'd eaten such good foie gras, homemade no less. The bavette steak was very flavorful and perfectly prepared, and even the homemade panna cotta was delicious for dessert.

08/03/2026: A delight from start to finish! I visited Royan a few months ago to see my husband's family. We had a wonderful meal at L'Atelier. Everything was delicious, perfectly cooked. Special mention for the homemade desserts—absolutely divine! The staff is welcoming and friendly. They also have a great sense of humor. A sure bet in Royan, far from the tourist traps.

26/02/2026: We just had a fantastic seafood platter. The owner and his wife are very kind and the welcome was very friendly. For the price of the meal, 150 euros, we got two aperitifs, a generous bowl of smelt, a glass of Pouilly-Fumé, and the Hermione platter (with 10 "super delicious" prawns instead of lobster). We thoroughly enjoyed it!! Special shout-out to the salted butter 😂😂

14/02/2026: I was a little disappointed by the limited menu: calf's head, sweetbreads, or hanger steak… perhaps because it's off-season? Photos of the menus on Google showed a wider variety. Otherwise, everything was good and well-prepared. One minor drawback was the open kitchen: cooking smells wafted throughout the room.

06/03/2026: Good evening everyone, I came on the evening of March 3rd, my 36th birthday. We had a wonderful time, it was lovely, and above all, the food was excellent. The staff were fantastic, almost like family. We truly felt at home. From the appetizer to the dessert, and thank you for the impromptu surprise from the waitress, haha! 25/02/2026: We had a great time with a fantastic, friendly waiter away from the crowds. Nice, home-style dishes. Excellent espresso.

21/12/2025: The wheel has indeed turned. We went because Google mentioned two dining options. The entrance was dismal; in ten minutes, not a single greeting, not even a glance, even though only one couple was waiting for their order. We had plenty of time to see the prices! Personally, I don't appreciate exorbitant prices when the shellfish are right there. There's even a sign warning you not to touch the lobster antennae... In short, not a single glance in ten minutes while the woman was standing right in front of us. Good riddance, we've moved on to other places. Learn some respect and humility, especially with prices that are inaccessible to the average person. We shouldn't touch our antenna either, and you should be spreading tourist traps. There's no restaurant; we should be asking you to reimburse us for our gas.

23/03/2026: The seafood is certainly excellent, but the cooked dishes are disappointing. The salt cod and sun-dried tomato Tatin is like a reheated shepherd's pie, and Provençal tomatoes as a side dish in February?!

22/03/2026: Ah, Tonton Louis! A magical place for both the taste buds and the atmosphere! Located right on the edge of the fishing port of La Rochelle Chef de Baie, the food couldn't be fresher and the staff incredibly welcoming. Whatever the season, it's always a special occasion to spend an evening in this extraordinary restaurant!
