L'Ermitage Hotel Cuisine a manger

17/03/2026: We spent one night at the Hôtel L’Ermitage, and frankly, the current 3.9/5 rating on Google doesn't reflect our experience.
We had booked the Belvédère room, which offers an absolutely incredible view of the Monts d’Or and Lyon. The setting is calm, peaceful, and truly magnificent—a real haven of tranquility.
Upon arrival, we had a drink on the restaurant terrace, bathed in sunshine: a very pleasant way to start our stay. We then had the relaxation area to ourselves, allowing us to truly unwind, exactly what we were looking for.
In the evening, we dined at the hotel restaurant: excellent cuisine, discreet and pleasant service. We had a wonderful evening.
The next morning, breakfast was a very pleasant surprise: a well-organized buffet with a high-quality savory selection (which is quite rare and worth mentioning), featuring organic and seasonal products. The desserts were also excellent: pastries, delicious bread, praline brioche, organic products, and a superb homemade pear compote.
We were able to enjoy the relaxation area one last time before our departure. The early check-out before noon is a real plus, allowing you to fully enjoy the morning.
Of course, having a professional eye for the restaurant industry ourselves, we noticed a few imperfections, particularly regarding the cleanliness of the relaxation area (chewing gum and hair were found on the edge of the jacuzzi upon our arrival, and these hadn't been cleaned up by our departure). The facilities also show some signs of age.
However, this didn't spoil our stay in any way. The staff was lovely from beginning to end, and the overall experience remains very positive.
We loved our stay, so kudos to the team, and we will most likely be back next month.
14/03/2026: Quite disappointed by this otherwise well-known hotel.
The reception wasn't very welcoming; the person was on the phone for at least five minutes without telling us they'd be there in a few minutes.
The room was nice enough, but the floor wasn't clean, there was only one large towel for two people, and no phone to contact reception.
The pool is tiny, with just two sun loungers practically next to each other, water everywhere, and no one to even mop it up. The spa was very nice!
Breakfast was very good with a magnificent view, but forget about a friendly welcome and a smile from the staff—they must not be paid for that! Would I recommend it? No! There are so many better options elsewhere for the same price.

Cuisine fine et recherchée, plats faits maison. Un véritable régal gustatif ! Nous avons adoré et recommandons cette adresse.

12/02/2024: Ce restaurant est sale dès le franchissement de la porte d’entrée crasseuse avec des vitres excessivement sales grosses traces de doigts !
C’est la première fois que nous nous rendons dans ce restaurant Chinois en manque d’hygiène.
Le Personnel n’est pas du tout souriant, la nourriture est exécrable grasse et sucrée un manque d’hygiène total avec des couverts mélangés, pas de couvert pour chacun des plats. J’ai aussi remarqué que des petites bandes de copines prennent leurs doigts dans les plats préparés.
Dernière notre table il y avait plein de chocolat fondu au sol , ma mère âgée a failli tomber.
Pas de personnel pour le nettoyage du sol après 1h 30 toujours pas nettoyé.
Notre table pas débarrassée a notre arrivée.
Le long des bacs à nourriture il y avait également de grosse taches au sol.
Les personnes fragiles doivent fait attention à ne pas attraper une Salmonella, Campylobacter ou Escherichia coli entérohémorragique cause d’une mauvaise hygiène dans le mélange des préparations alimentaires de ce restaurant.Certains clients se servent puis ré déposent dans les bacs…. Personnel non présent pour surveiller.
Je n’aime pas noter méchamment les Restaurants mais là l’hygiène est vraiment critique ma mère a été prise de vomissements dès son arrivée à la maison.
Nous n’y retournerons jamais.

02/04/2026: A very disappointing experience.
The address 77 Rue du Faubourg du Temple, 75010 Paris, is primarily known for housing L’Étage du Gibus, yet the venue is listed here under the name Canela, even though it only hosts one event per week. This presentation is completely misleading for customers who might expect a specific location.
The service was poor from beginning to end. The person presenting themselves as the manager, wearing glasses and also acting as the DJ, behaved in a completely unprofessional manner, making persistent advances toward some of the women in our group. After we rejected these advances, their attitude became authoritarian and unpleasant.
We were also surprised to be required to pay for the cloakroom during a screening of a Colombian football match, without any clear prior notification, which we found clearly unfair.
In view of this experience and the practices observed, it would be desirable for a real change in the management and supervision of evenings to be put in place in order to ensure a respectful and transparent welcome for customers.

11/05/2024: Nous étions 5 sans réservation et nous n'avions qu'1h30 pour manger. Service rapide et souriant pour de très bons plats asiatiques (vietnam et thaï) dans un cadre tamisé moderne et décoré.
05/04/2024: Très bonne table. Carte avec des plats originaux et de très bonne qualité . Copieux . J’ai une petite préférence pour le carry Ga . On peut y aller en confiance avec l’assurance de repartir repu et très satisfait de ces plats qui nous font voyager. Décor sympa, même si je préférai les alcôves et coussins d’avant .

28/09/2024: Very nice! Delicious Indian-inspired drink and aperitif board! The prices are a little expensive but it's République and inflation that is reflected in the bill. Special mention for the kind and very efficient waiter with brown curls and a checked shirt who was on hand all evening!

17/03/2024: Je suis déçu par ce restaurant d'une façon générale. Le no-boeuf est insipide. Le bobun à base de viande est sec et j'ai eu du mal à le finir.
Seuls les desserts conventionnels sont acceptables.
J'ai mangé dans des restaurants végétariens qui proposaient des plats aux saveurs bien supérieures
01/03/2024: This place is nice; chilled vibes on shared tables and no reservations. The menu is huge! Our food was nice (we had the fried appetiser plate, mushroom tempura, pancake and satay soup) but nothing amazing. I’ve definitely had nicer SE Asian food, but the vibes are good and that it’s (almost) totally vegan is a huge plus! Service was good too. If they sold the cool t shirts I’d buy one!
